Oh well, it was only a matter of time before they started confiscating phones at rock concerts... I hope you used a decent mike and high sampling rate...
There is no easy way to convert between Note format and wav format. However if you were just recording audio then Notes should have saved the files in wav format anyway...

Converting mp3 files to ringtone wav files

HI
Wonder if anyone is kind enough to help.
I have downloaded some ringtones as mp3 files but can't use them in the xda since it only recognises wav files. Is there a way around this?
Thanks

Doing a monologue but I thot people might benefit:
did a goggle search and found tons of software that could do the trick.
how did u do it. please share
Hi
You can use winamp and select the diskwriter for playback. This will write a wav file when you play the file.
You can also use nice freeware audio tools. I downloaded audacity from download.com or try www.dbpoweramp.com for another converter tool.

how to use MP3 as ringtone for XDA II

I wanted to use MP3 songs as ringtone for XDAII. Can someone tell me where is the patch for it ? Please help, sos. [email protected]
fast way is to make the mp3 into a wma
ms only normaly make ppl use wma as ring
cdex is free and let you convert
I dont want to convert MP3 to WMA
Dear Rudegar,
Thanks for your reply. I knew your suggestion, but that's not what im looking for. There must be a patch that i can use for select MP3 files as ring directly without conversion, if XDA II mini can use MP3 files as ringtone by selection, then someone out there must have known how to patch it. Please help !!!
Thank you.

I don't know if this is the correct way but when I was playing around with boot up sounds on my S2 I had a load of MP3s I wanted to try out as boot sounds so I just used a file explorer (root explorer on my phone, selected the MP3 and renamed it, replacing .MP3 with .OGG, simple!
I didn't use any convertor or anything and the phone recognized it as a .OGG sound file
I now have the Playstation 2 start up sound when my phone boots, pure awesomeness!

2 sounds 1 file

I have a few VOB files on my PC that I want to combine into a video, but they have 2 dubs.
I downloaded Audacity and ffmpeg for it, used vobedit to export the .ac3 sound files (clicked some demux option) and imported them into audacity. Problem is it's one sound file but it has 2 dubs inside it, so I don't know if audacity or some other program can "figure out" the difference in sounds and remove one of them :S
anyone please?
