XDA 2 Answering Machine - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Is there any software for the xda 2 that can be used as an answering machine. It would really save on voicemail costs but I am unsure if one exists yet?

Have you ever tried the search of this forum?

Blackberry to Android Emoticons

Huller (Madea Voice) to all,
I wanted to know if i could replace my emoticons with blackberry ones, or is there an app that would allow me to see the emotiocons that are being sent from blackberry devices (or even iphone, mainly blackberry). I know this might seem like an off the question request, but thats me. I did see that there was a topic is the Evo 4G, I am not aware if it would work.
I appreciate all of your replies in advance.
60 views and no response, I am guessing this is impossible?

I'm guessing you might be able to decompile the messaging app to find the icons to change them. If that's where they are stored.
Maybe a third party app can?
Imagika FTW... with Tapatalk 2
I've done a little searching, I will have to do a little more. I use gosms and it has emoticons for the iPhone, but not BlackBerry.
I appreciate the reply!!

I believe you need to go through iTunes to delink your phone number from iMessages. I may be wrong but I remember reading something in another thread about that. When you set up your iMessage, what did you do? I was under the impression that you had to do something with iTunes or there was a sync setting, something along those lines.
I just checked a box on the iPhone. Strange things were happening all my texts were being sent to a family member with an iPhone, I turned it off on their phone and now I am recieving texts.. I will probably call apple and see if they can take my number off the server or something

Old school GSM engineer advice please.

I know this has nothing to do with our smart phones. (MODS please dont tell me off!)
But is anyone knowledgeable in the art of old school symbian?
I used to mess around with it in the E70 days but im looking for something even older! A 7110.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had the Sony Ericsson p910i and there was a forum for it on here... Have you looked for a section on it?

Yeah. Had a browse. Thought of posting up in the general section but I have zero experience there. Thought id reach out to fellow ulta users first.
Its a 15 year old Nokia........."the matrix phone" just done a clear out and found it! Absolute mint condition. There are no specific forums for stuff that old. It outdates xda and possibly the entire Internet! Ha.
Just need someone that has experiance with firmware/unlocking on the very old dct3/4 models.

Ah yes, the most awesome phone back in the days. My dad had it (and still has it), and i remember being so incredible jealous I had a couple of Symbian phones, like the Nokia 3230 and 6600 (aka the egg), but that's about it. I still have the 6600, but it got water damaged, so.. dead. I don't know much about Symbian anymore, but i liked to play around with them and install emulators and dive deep into the internet for those .SIS files

[Q] APP to find out if she is cheating

Hi, i suspect my girlfriend is cheating on me, is there an app that can record and send to my phone all her texts and phone calls or something, she has a galaxy s5 rooted, or an app that would log everything she types that would be cool, thank you.
I don't think this is the right place for asking this kind question; but anyway, I'm not an expert.
You could try with "cerberus"... Remember my friend sometimes trust is everything

Maybe you should just try talking to her? Or split up with her if you don't trust her....

XDA is not really here for this. Hacking into phones gets folks in trouble....Please go elsewhere for this.

[Q] Nexus 9 LTE Voice Calls Support

Hello All,
I'm about to purchase a HTC Nexus 9 LTE Table. But I have once concern at the moment. Currently, I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite which I truly hate! But the only feature I like is the phone calls, just insert the SIM Card and call whoever you want.
Now, does the Nexus 9 supports the phone calls like the Tab 3 Lite? Can anyone confirm this? I mean, if you have already purchased or know someone who purchased the device, does it support making phone calls?
Guys, I need a reply urgently as I'm going to send the money today to someone to buy it for me .. and I don't want it to be a waste of money
WOW!!3 days without any response! what a support!

No you can't make normal voice calls with it. Just things like skype and hangouts. Also, xda is supported be members and their free time. You're not entitled to support here. Try this thread next time http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56069542
There's also a search function on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-9/help/nexus-9-voice-call-buttons-t3017442

Thanks jd1639 for your reply. However, does it worth buying?

I like it but I'm not looking at it to make phone calls. I use it mostly for browsing and use it for work so I don't have to lug a laptop around when traveling.
