Have fun
meny fnx. and is posible kitchen rom for new MDA2 or only for MDA1? Is posible, where? And Best of img for MDA is? And Where can I download?
Sorry for my very bad english.
There is no kitchen for XDA II ... you can modify the ext-rom as you need.
there are many posts here... but none answers the question of the topicstarter?
I have the same question. Is it possible to update only the radio stack and leave the rom and extended rom alone?
And if it is possible, will the update work without a cold reset?
thanks for your answers
calvin
radio stack only
yes you can upgrade the radio stack only. open the ROM upgrade with the radio stack you eant by unzipping it NOT running it. after unzipped, delete both the other nbf diles and leave only the radio stack nbf file in the directory. run himalaya upgrade from that directory. the first upgrade screen will tell you the radio version being replaced and not indicate any upgrade for the other two..
i have done this successfullly by leaving 1.72 alone and switching between 1.10, 1.12 and 1.14 radio stacks. a cold reboot is required, but a sprite backup of the 1.72 system with a 1.10 radio stack worked fine after restore to the 1.72 system with the 1.14 radio.
hope this helps.

I just put together the following pieces
OS 1.72.00WWE
Radio 1.17.00
ExtROM 1.72.901 eDsubSofT (Nevermind the "1.60.36" that is in the nbf header)
"CountryCode" = TMOBILE
All configured for T-Mobile NL

Hi Edsub,
I have just downloaded 1.72.901 of yours and try to upgrade my mda 2 from t-mob.
what i have is te last beta version of t-mob 1.72.wwe boot version is 1.02
when i try to upgrade it with your version i get the following error
ERROR 122: EXTENDED IMAGE FILE CHEKSUM ERROR
Can you tell me what is it I am doing wrong???
Thanks
Hello edsub,
Does the 1.17 Radio version works with the 1.72 Fra, or it needs a french 1.17 Radio ?
Is that possible to upgrade only the radio ?
You can use this radio with your device. No language specifics in it.
(as I was told)
The checksum suprises me.
I can open the ms_.nbf with er2003edit with the normal key.
can you?

Ok, and is it possible to install the 1.17 alone, without upgradeing all the device ?
Did you notice differences between 1.14 and 1.17 ?
You can upgrade every part separately from the others.
Just delete the NBF's you dont want to upgrade
Radio.nbf = Radio ROM
NK.nbf = OS ROM
MS_.nbf = ExtROM
Does this upgrade of the Radio only requires a hard-reset at the end ?
did a radio upgrade only
(removed the OS and Extended rom bkf files).
Device is dead (displays SERIAL after Cold Reboot).
Recommandation: don't do RADIO only, upgrade OS + Radio + Extended Rom whatever you're told.
btw, Extended Rom is corrupted.
I noticed the extROM was not OK.
Just uploaded a new archive wich should do the job ok.
@tde: oops, I just read that on the wiki-page
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/HimalayaRomFlashing?version=8
no problem edsub, I should have read it too before starting flashing... this is not my first upgrade so I have no real excuse
just back to my old imate 1.72WWE, it's been a while since I didn't flashed my device, this rom is really OK.
@tde, do you mean you have succesfully installed my roms or did you revert to your own?
edsub,
Are you saying that the extended rom you have developed is not ok?
Is this ROM save to load on MDA II, which has only had T-Mobile ROMs on it?
edsub, is this the ROM I requested?
Edsub
I re-flashed with the latest Rom from IMATE I had (1.72WWE), but upgraded the radio to 1.17 by the way.
Now I have to recreate a new extended ROM ...
@ Gratefuled: My ExtRom was ok, only the NBF file to be used to flash was corrupted. This means that in the first upload version of the upgrade archive (see first post inthis thread) you could simply NOT upgrade the extRom (upgrade utility refuses it).
The currently available RUU172901_eDsuBsofT.exe should be ok.
@tde: The ExtRom in the new version should be ok. The OS rom inside my archive is the same as your iMate OS rom (Qtek and iMate 1.72.00WWE OS roms are the same).
@all: Still waiting for comments on the newly uploaded archive
Home-cooked 1.72.901 upgrade package (1.72.00/1.17.00
@ Edsub,
Hi,
I have succesfuly flashed my mda 2 with your rom. It worked just fine i wil try this further and post my coments.
thanks,
keep up the good work.
I am a new qtek 2020 user.
Can i use this rom for the provider proximus here in belgium ?
Basically you can. But for the extended rom contents I would advise you to get in contact with others on Proximus for the specific network (ie GPRS) settings.
Also, you might not like the T-Mobile startup splash screen.
And: You HAVE to update the "country id" (=operator/device identifier)
.
What bootimage does it have?. Does it has the T-mobile BETA bootimage?. I don't mind the T-mobile image, just not the beta part
It has the 'normal'(ie not beta) T-Mobile boot-image.
Images were taken from 1.60.36 rom
Is this upgrade the Windows Mobile 2003 SE equivalent?
So when flashed it has the same software features as described for the Qtek 9090?
When flashed to Tmobile, can I still change the settings to telford? Has anyone don that already?
thanks
Hello,
I am looking for the latest Rom update For my Qtec 2020.
I Currently have 1.66 WWE
I need 1.72 WWE
Etended Rom 1.72.800 (i think)
And radio version 1.17 or later.
Can someone help me to upgrade my Hymalaya ?
Where Can I get these Files ?
So it is without Provider !
Thanx in advance.
The provider specific bits are in the ExtRom.
So in fact you can use any 1.72.00 upgrade file and delete the ms_.nbf file before proceding.
Afterwards you can fill your Extended Rom with the applications you want using the Extended Rom Unlock tools.
BTW: This is always a better solution because using a 'wrong' ExtRom could get you into CountryID trouble with the next upgrade.
There are numerous posts with 1.72.00 rom upgrades in it, but I  would recomend my RUU172902WWE upgrade. It is documented what the files in the ExtRom all do, so its simple to skip the operator specific ones.
1.72WWE
Hello,
I have trouble finding the Rom you describe.
Do you have a download link for me ?
Thanx
This is the thread:

How Can I upgrade radio from 1.14 To 1.17 Please Help
I have radio_1.17.nbf
But i dont know how to upgrade the radio in my I-Mate
any one can Help me please or any one can put an exe file for a normal radio upgrade
download the ROM version you want.. then replace its RADIO rom with your radio rom.... then upgrade!
check -out DCS' posts regarding upgrades.... i have some posts there too
thanks Z-man for your help
but i need to upgrade the radio only
Can you help me
In order to upgrade your Radio, you have to run the upgrade process, which requires that the NK.nbf file (OS) is present. However, if you use the same version of NK.nbf as you already have and the version 1.17 of Radio, then you shouldn't have too much trouble. It is not necessary to upgrade the Extended ROM (ms_.nbf). Be sure to check my post here to ensure you avoid Country ID problem.
Downside is that your device will be cleared, so best do a full backup first which can be restored back on after the upgrade.
Thank you
My pleasure
I recently upgraded to rom version 2.02.t1WWE

I am showing no extended rom after upgrading to 2003se all my o2 software has disappeared and I have no camera software anymore. Did I do something wrong? How do you work with the HIMA_WM_2K3_EXTROM.RAR file and OperatorUpdate.bat file. I must be so new to this. Please somebody help I've spent hours on the forum, I just want my phone to be updated properly. Thanks
I suggest you read the thread on upgrading better. A lot of upgrade 'packages' do not contain an extROM because a lot of us just what to customise it anyway.
A cmplete package consists of 3 nbf files:
nk.nbf - the os
Radio.nbf - the radio rom
ms_.nbf - the extended rom
There is a good SE ExtROM in this thread (by me):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=39938
Hello again,
I am a little green when it comes to extended rom.
I have referenced the page you suggested but how would I alter this to work with O2?
Also my bluetooth microphone doesn't work but the speaker does.
Is this also symptomatic of having no Ext ROM?
Thanks
Middo
I Bought My Imate Jasjam And It Has Rom 1.21.305.240
And Radio 1.21
When Ilook For This Version I Cant Find Not Even In The Original Place Imate
Where The Hell Our Country Bring This Rom..................
Imate is selling devices with 1.21 radio on them since almost 1 month ago, but they still haven't published a NBH upgrade of this rom. I guess it will come soon...
Hi all,
just received my new replacement jasjam (ht647). These are the details of the ROM on it:
Bootloader 1.06
ROM Version: 1.31.305.2
Radio: 1.21.31.10
ExtROM: 1.31.305.104
AKU is still 2.3
The funny this is that the radio ROM is newer than all hermes ROMS but isnt available on the clubimate website for a complete download.
Still new so I wont know if there are any improvements over UMTS/GSM reception or power efficiency.

THX

I got my Jasjam 2 days ago. It is a ht647 and the software versions are exactly the same as reported by Jasjamming

How Do I "RIP" a new Radio Rom for the forum?(1.21)
one of our providers released a new radio ROM(JASJAM),
can I get some help?
@elivne: Do you have it flashed on your device, or have the NBH file to flash it?

I have it flushed on my device.
From this thread i understand there nothing i can do for you guys...(dont know how i missed this thread).
pof, if your gr8 mind has somthing for me to try - shoot
We can only extract it from NBH file, not from a live device (at least I don't know how). So, until an upgrade with this radio comes out, it is not possible to have it.
Imate jasjam 1.31.305.2 ROM has been published on clubimate ftp, and radio 1.21.31.10 has been extracted from this ROM.
You can find both on XDA-Developers ftp.
