SGSII - TWlauncher continually crashed after flight mode ICS

I've searched high and low, and can't seem to find anyone with this same issue caused by flight mode. I'm having an issue with TWLauncher on my SGS2 running 4.0.3 (Optus official update in Australia).
I've had this rom installed since its release in early April 2012, and have only been having issues with the occasional MAPServiceSamsung crashing with the SMS app.
This arvo I flew interstate, and hence turned the phone into flight mode, and then turned it off. When I turned it back on in the plane, the phone refused to open into the home screen, as TWLauncher kept crashing.
Initially I thought it may have been a flight mode issue, and somehow I struck some luck and managed to turn off flight mode so I had HSPDA connectivity again. But this made no difference.
I did a soft reset, wiped the cache, took the battery out for 30mins, and ended up having to do a factory reset to get use of my phone again.
Being interstate I have a work laptop, which doesn't allow me to use Odin and hence flash any different firmwares on.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experience this, and/or whether anyone has any suggestions on how to fix/make sure it doesn't happen again? Could the TWLauncher error be linked to flight mode in some weird way (I only ask as the phone had never done this previously).
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I am also running on the Australian stock version (XWLP8), but not having this issue.
Can you reproduce the issue?
Or is it now fixed after wiping cache partition and doing a factory reset?
If the issue is still existing, you can try to flash another firmware (first another kernel, and only if that does not help another ROM) ... or you should use an alternative launcher.
I will try and replicate it again in my flight home on Wednesday. Whilst I am away from home I will limp the phone around as stock as I can.
Thanks for the reply.
Ah! I had the same issue and it drove me crazy cos it would take ages for the phone to restore itself..
I was using a stock Indian ROM and I guess my issue too was repeated after I switched on the flight mode.. Tried all the resets and other workarounds but to no luck..
Just installed a custom ROM now and everything's back to normal..
You can google for some workaround on TwLauncher, but for me none worked..

Screen won't turn off automatically

Having a problem with the screen not turning off whether it's set on a timer or smart stay. The strange part is it is only when I turn off Wi-Fi power save to keep from getting booted from my network. When I reboot my phone, screen turns off fine. As soon as I turn off Wi-Fi power save, the screen just stays on unless I got the power button. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know a workaround?

Im having this problem too.

[Q] LG Mach - slow resets need data

Hello,
I have an LG Mach. Today it has started running really slow and now it will not even let me use it. When powered on about every 3 - 6 seconds it locks up then after it unlocks it has closed all programs and it is back at the home screen with no data or wifi connection. Just like it just turned on.
I have tried soft reset and safe mode but it still does the lock up.
I tried to get the photos and contacts from usb but the constant resetting turns off the usb also.
Can anyone thing of a way that I can get the photos and contacts off the device before a do a hard reset?
Thanks

[Q] 23.0.1.A.0.167 (4.4.4) can't turn WiFi on

Hello! I've updated my D6503 (DE unbranded) with 23.0.1.A.0.167 and I've got the issue I can't turn WiFi on.
1. Settings -> WiFi shows the grey screen with 'Turning WiFi on...' message.
2. On/Off button is greyed out (doesn't work) in Off position.
3. WiFi widget (stock one) is slowly 'flashing'.
Restart through now available software option doesn't help. Phone starts and WiFi is immediately in turning on.. mode.
Power off doesn't help as well.
I've managed to turn it on by switching to airplane mode, then restarting via hard reset (power on+volume up) then turning on, disabling airplane mode. This way it turns on, connects to my access point but in a minute it's disabled again and starts to show this 'Turning WiFi on...' message again.
I've made factory reset through phone. Now 'Searching for Wi-Fi networks...' message is on welcome screen step 3. None access points are seen.
I've made factory reset through PC companion. Now 'Searching for Wi-Fi networks...' message is on welcome screen step 3. None access points are seen.
Support basically trolls me (I live in Cyprus, without any local service centers), so it's no use as well.
Please help me, thanks in advance.

Flash Light Automatically turns on

Guys I am having a very weird problem with my Galaxy S6 Edge (SM G925I). My Flash Light automatically turns on every few minutes (at random time). The "Flash Notification" is turned off. This problem is draining my battery. It does it always, even when the phone is idle. I cant figure out what triggers the flash light. I tried starting my phone in safe mode, but the problem persists. I dont want to RESET my phone right now (for some special reasons). How can I fix it? Is there anyway I can pinpoint the process that is triggering the flashlight?
