Battery shows charging even when out of cradle - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

My battery dies within a day sometimes and always shows that it is charging even when it is not in the cradle. Any ideas? Thanks!

HELLO. TRY TO RESET THE BATTERY. HOW. PRESS THE BATTERY HOLE ONE TIME. THEN WAIT ABOUT A FEW MINUTES THEN PRESS IT AGAIN. NOW. CHARGE YOU PDA IN THE CRADLE. DO NOT TURN IT ON DURING THE CHARGE UNTIL IT COMPLETE SOLID GREEN LIGHT. LET ME KNOW IF IT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

what is the batter hold?

BATTERY RESET BUTTON. (SMALL HOLD ON THE RIGHT SIDE NOT THE HARD RESET BUTTON)

oh okay, that doesn't help. I'll try to replace the battery while I Have it open as I have an extra one also. thanks

SX-56 PROBLEMS! please help me!

ok i just got this SX56 from a friend. when its on the cradle it says its charging and it will boot up. i see the charging lamp go green, i take it off of the cradle. BOOM dies and it wont turn back on via the power button, soft rest, or hard reset. and i put it back on the cradle and it asks me for the align screen again, like every time i take it off of the cradle and put it back on. it will do some sort of reset and will go back to the align screen. im thinking the battery is shot??? any other ideas please?
could be the battery hasnt been charged properly... try to charge the battery for atleast an hour before you turn on the device.. if it doesnt charge maybe there is something wrong with the battery. cheers

Bricked G4 not (!) again: Charge LED does not light on power-connection

Hi there,
I have a special question to my G4 witch i do not get in operation anymore: The Problem is, that the device does not turn on, independent any keys. Either the ON-Button, Soft-Reset, Hard-Reset i do not get any of the "normal" screens. The display does not light.
Additional, the red power-charge-LED does not light when i plug in the USB-poer-supply. The same, if i disassemble the battery and plug the G4 to the power-supply...
The device has not been used for a couple of months. The last action a Upgrade to WM6.5 that worked definitively fine for a while.
Has anybody an idea? Or happend before?
Thanks in advance
Ernie
i think it`s easy
hey .. i doubt you have a problem with your g4 phone, i think you have a problem with the battery. since you left the batter inside the phone for alot of months and you didn`t use it, i think the battery is super dead, so dead, that the g4 cant power off and go to charge mode. 1 : you could try letting it charge more, like .. 1 hr plugged in , orrr , you could find an universal charger, which charges the battery by touching it`s + and - with it`s pins and putting electricity in it. (sorry for the bad explanation but i`m from romania). I think one of them two should work, if you know some other friend who has a working g4 just try with his battery. Good luck ! ^_^
Thanks for your reply.
But it happens without (!) the battery: If disassemble the battery and connect afterwards the power cable, the red LED does not flash, and no key has a function. As Soft-Reset "switch" and Hard-Reset (2-button on the left plus Soft-Reset-Switch)
First i mentioned the same as you thought...
Has anybody an idea what can be done here?
Thanks in advance.
Ernie
I'm encountering this same problem. I let the device charge over night with no luck. It will not power on at all. The battery was working fine last week. its completely dead
My Universal turn on the red LED for a seconds and after that do not charge and do not turn on. Have you find any solutions?
Thanks
exactly the same problem here on touch 3g
i got my touch 3g in Jan 2009 in Shanghai,China. Now i'm in singapore.... it's bricked, i didn't do anything wrong, it's not dropped on the ground or into the water, yesterday it was fine, but this morning i just found that it's power off. plugging in the power cable , and i won't see the orange power led. it's completely dead, soft reset and hard reset can not be initiated, because it refuses to power on.
i'm going to htc care center at harbourFront next weekend ...

You’re in the wrong section this is the Wizard forum.
I use a universal charger. Its one which takes the battery not one which plugs into the phone ...
whenever I let my phone run flat I leave the battery in the charger for a couple of hours then put it back in the phone and connect the phone charger. Once there are enough electrons whizzing around in the battery there's enough power to drive the IC that manages the charging in the phone ...
if the battery is too flat it won't even open the gates for you ...

Sony Erisson MW600... bricked?!

Hi everybody,
after several weeks of rest in my desk, yesterday I decided to use again the MW600 with my Xperia X10. I tried to turn it on, but nothing happened.
I realized that for sure battery was completely drained, so I put the device in charge for the entire night.
This morning, when I unplugged it from the DC charger, pressing the ON button nothing appeared on the screen! And furthermore I noted that, during charge, no animation of battery charging appeared on LCD: only a "static" icon of battery, as if it already was fully charged.
I have also tryed a reset by press&hold ON button, but no icon appears on the OLED screen!
Any idea?
Thanks in advance!!
Paolo
UP! Any idea? ^^
someone said holding the power button for a few seconds while plugging it in may help.
Hi,
thanks for your reply
Just tried, but nothing happened! :'(
mine got bricked too.. it happened after a work out. maybe it's not designed to handle continuous vibrations while running i guess. i took mine apart and was surprised to see a battery similar to the size of a AAA battery squeezed in there. it's 3-4x bigger than the one used in the DS980. i pulled the battery and put it back in and it still wouldn't turn on. anyway, i got suckered in to buying another one but this time it's white.. can't wait.
So bad to hear... it is possible that completely drained battery means permanent brick?!
well, when i plugged in mine after it was bricked, it would show the charging animation moving as if it was actually charging but the thing is it doesn't ever get the full charge symbol. then once i unplug it, it wouldn't turn on and shows no sign of life.
you have to replace the battery..
i read somewhere that those battery will die eventually so have them replace?
how long uve been using it?
about 6 months
My MW600's Display died las week. the Head set would connect to the phone normally but nothing displayed. I used it for 2 days and it was dofficult to control. So i contacted SE and they asked me to mail it to them. Havent returned my MW600 yet.
My MW600 also just died in this fashion a few days ago - the battery indicator says fully charged when plugged in, but it won't turn on once i disconnect from the charger - i use mine alot for work-outs (running) also -
did anyone find a solution to this?
If i need to get a new internal battery where do i get one of these from?
thx.
ps. - tried the "keep on charger;hold power power button ;disconnect while still holding power button method" but no luck

Hey, I'm from Argentina and I can't get this battery here. I found out in Amazon that there are at least two dealers, found one around $8 and another one like $15. I completely unmounted my headset and I'll try to get one of those amazon batteries but I will have a long time to wait now. I guess you can buy one and try to replace it. The unmounting proccess is really easy, you just have a screw under the power button (under a sticker) and you have to loose the clip (pushing sideways with the screwdriver tip. After that you have another screw and it's only that, just need to unmount the track controlling buttons.
Mine died during a motorcycle ride, I could revive it (it was weird because it had battery fully charged and it never happened to me) and then in a running marathon it just died after 15 minutes.. Since then it won't wake up. I read the battery lasts around 18-24 months only, I bought it in January 2012 and used it daily since then, so I guess the battery just died..

P7510 Galaxy Tablet will not boot or reset. Just a black screen.

I havent used the tablet for about a week or so and initially thought the battery was dead. Left it on the charger for about 3 hours and tried booting it but nothing.
Held the power button for 30 seconds and again nothing. Tried factory reset menu (power button + vol down key) and again nothing.
Tried the power button + touching screen: hxxp://mojocode.com/content/samsung-galaxy-tablet-101s-wont-boot and again nothing.
I also took the back plastic out and "pulled out" the battery and waited about 30 minutes to put it back on and still nothing.
I was on official release of ICS and now im all out of ideas,
Is it "Officially Dead"? any help would be appreciated.

If you open the tablet, it's easy to check your battery with a multimeter.
if your battery is discharged bellow 3.3 v(for Li-Po)/cell then you can't recover anymore, it's dead.(as you say you don't use it for a week)
Check your battery voltage, and if you can try to boot your tablet with another battery.

If you have digital multimeter, doesn't matter because you'll read negative value of voltage if connect multimeter in revese way.
i dont know how many cells you have packed in your battery, but if you can read from battery 3.7v means 1 cell, 7.2v means 2 cell...etc
You will see (if you have 2 cell for example) 3 wires because is 2 cell in series, and your tablet charge them cell by cell, not charge your cells in series!
Measure voltage betwen 1-2 wire and 2-3 wire.
You must see a value between 3.3-3.6v on both cells.
I hope it helps
What happens if you connect it to your PC then hold down the power button? What kind of device shows up if anything?

[Q] Does not start after reboot sequence

Hey guys,
I was about to repair my Z2 tablet because of a broken screen. I did the Power+Volup trickt to reboot the tablet, it went off but I could not start it up again. Battery was full at that time. As I removed the screen anyways, I could do some tests:
1) If charger inserted, nothing happens, no red light nothing. Also I measured the wattage of my charger and 0 Watts is shown, so tablet is not consuming any power
2) When removing battery from systemboard and connecting charger it consumes about 2 watts and red light blinks one time - however, still not able to turn it on.
Any idea what this could be? I have the feeling that the system board thinks the battery is dead, but it really is not. I also read the other threats about waiting for battery to be drained but I'm wondering whether there is another option ..
Thanks

have you tried holding down the reset button for about two minutes?
Thanks for your reply! I tried, but unfortunately nothing happens :\ I cannot image that I have broken the device by removing the screen. It was fully ok until I executed Power+Vol Up reset mechanism.
Guys,
just wanted to let you know that after 2d the device got back to life. Not startable at first, but when connecting charger it was charging again and after some time startable.. Still, cannot image that the battery got down so fast from nearly 100% to 0%
Anyways, thanks for your help.
