HELP phone data problems - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

I recently smashed my XDA 1 screen. The device is working properly but there is no way programs can be started. I need to put all my contacts (oulook) on the SIM in order to use the phone numbers in other phones, while I send my device for repair. Is there a pc program tha uses the sim card to syncronize without pocketpc usage ?

SIM PROBLEM in my 3day old HTC P3400i

It is just 3days i brought my HTC P3400i...and it has started giving problems....
the problem is:
1. Irregularities in recieving sms (i recieve 4/5 sms out of 20 sms sent to my ph number)
2. Sometime i dont get notification of incomig calls (my friends tell they rang me 2-3 times but it didnt show on my mobile screen)
I have confirmed that these problems are not network problemas it is fine when i use the same sim card in other mobile.
It would be of great help if you can tell me what i need to do to make my PDA hassle free? plz help me...i am at loss.
use some other sim in ur mobile
(your orkut fellow vaibhav batra)
Can you please try a sim from some other operator, just to be sure? If your issue is not solved try network setup wizard. if still not sure, then I guess you are out of luck and have to visit the service centre
Guys i have checked with everythng..be it connection setup or other sim card...the problem stays...

Samsung Dive lock phone questions

I've registered a samsung account and I'm really impressed with the way this remote thing works. On testing, it rang my phone successfully and also retrieved my call logs for the past week. On find my mobile, it's found my road or at least, the marker is close to my road.
My questions relate to the lock tab.
The message displayed says " This mobile is lost. Please keep it for a while and I will contact you. Thank you." How would I find out and contact where the holder of the phone is?
Assuming the phone is lost or stolen, and I remotely lock the phone, I would then cancel the SIM card with T-Mobile and receive a new one from them with my same number and put it in an old backup phone of mine. Where I type the mobile number to receive notification of SIM card change, what number do I then put in?
on another note...how do you add your phone number in samsung dive? i means it recognize the phone model but say no phone number....
I guess noone knows.

[Q] International SMS mischief

Hello, all!
Here is the problem... I was traveling abroad with my SGS2 and was using domestic SIM that I bought locally. Once I received call from local number that my phone detected not in international format (like 891XXXXX). I have added this number into my contacts using full international format (+791XXXX) and everything was fine as long as I stayed abroad. Now I got back home and tried to SMS this number from my contacts.
Unfortunately, even in contacts the number is in international format, Messaging application for some reason every time takes the old one (891XXXXX).
I have tried delete messaging thread and create new thread from number stored in contacts, but this bastard still takes old number (stored somewhere I don't know where).
Has anybody got such problem? Is there any solutions available?
Regards,
Dima
I have found another thread describing exactly the same problem. So far, it's unknown how to deal with that.
Obviously if you want to txt the international number from your home country it has to be recognized in international format so what you could do is delete the number from your phone and rewrite it in international format to your sim card then copy it to your phone.I imagine now that you are back home you have a local sim card again but if you havnt changed it then check that you dont have the old number on it.

[Q] Call history lost when changing sim :S

Hi there, I have a SIM card that supports two phone numbers. All I have to do is go to the Sim Toolkit, select the 2in1 menu and it swaps from mobile #1 and mobile #2. Basically, it forwards call from one number to the other.
My problem is that everything related to calls (timers, counters, history, etc.) is lost when I swap between the 2 lines. Also when I go to see my contacts, every time it says that a new SIM has been detected and if I want to copy the contacts from the SIM to the phone.
Is there a fix about this? The phone is the Alcatel 995.
Thank you in advance.
This phone is Dual SIM or works with one only? Maybe it's SIM problem because is 2 different numbers. Android thinks there is a new SIM on the phone, so this cannot be fixed.
Sent from my DEV main phone, Motorola XT316
No, the phone is not Dual Sim. Its just one sim and with the SIM Toolkit you can change between the two phone numbers. Is there at least some application that keeps its own call history and doesnt read it from the stock android app?
Thanks.

[Q] No Incoming Calls after inserting old sim

Good morning.
I've got a little problem.
My wife wanted a smartphone so I decided to give her mine and order a 2nd hand one for myself.
She had a normal (FOMA) phone.
I took her quite-old-SIM card and put it into my X10 (flashed/rooted)
I would like to say that the only thing that changed is the SIM card and the microSD card.
I did the factory reset, and set her a new gmail account.
I can get calls out from the X10 with her SIM card, but when I try calling it, from skype or her old phone-with my sim it gets a busy tone.
On the X10 nothing appears on the screen.
Does it means the sim has a problem ? cause its old or something ? Does it relates to the phone's settings?
cause if one can make outgoing calls, it makes no sense that incoming will be a problem.
Our carrier is Docomo (Japan)...
I'll be going to the shop later but I just wanted to check here first.... My technical Japanese isnt that good - obviously and I don't want them to tell me things just cause they dont wanna fix it.
Thanks in advance...
X10
Incoming: no good
Outgoing: ok
SMS: ok
Wifi: ok
old FOMA phone
Incoming: ok
Outgoing: ok
SMS: ok
PS.
Since it worked fine before inserting the other SIM, I doubt it has to do with the ROM but... what do I know?!
Also checked here but its not the same problem as mine, since my other functions are working.

Help on the way
I think it might be the baseband or ril.
FIRST GO TO GOOGLE PLAY ON YOUR PHONE AND DOWNLOAD GETRIL. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK THEN TRY STEP 2.
SECOND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK JUST GO TO THIS LINK RIGHT HERE http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26191697.:)
NOTE: BASEBAND MUST MATCH RIL FOR INCOMING AND OUTCOMING CALLS TO WORK.
ANOTHER THING YOU CAN DO IS DOWNLOAD Sony PC Companion HERE http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/:)
NOTE: Sony PC Companion WILL DELETE EVERYTHING BACKUP.
