Where can we download Microsoft Remote Display Control? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

A member of this forum suggested to use Microsoft Remote Display Control so you could write SMS using your PC. He gave this link http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/pocketpc/powertoys.mspx
but when I tried opening that page from microsoft website, i can't find the right link to downloading that software. Something else were posted there. Could someone help me find it pls?

Download the "Windows Mobile Developer Powertoys" (link at bottom of page). RemoteDisplay is part of it.

if it's easier, here it is

Thanks guys,
However, I found out that the controller is slower compared to its counterpart developed by SOTI. Not to mention the skin that really reflects the image of your unit. If you try to compare their delay when clicking menus and programs, Microsoft is indeed slower. But I still appreciate the effort guys, i really do. Thanks.

[Q] Browser Problem

Hi,
I am trying out the Galaxy Tab and I find it to be rather nice to use. However, I have encountered an issue that I have not been able to resolve. I have a favorite web site that I go to at least once a day. It displays poorly with the text over writing other text, to the point it is almost unreadable. The default browser offers the option of Mobile or Standard. The site opens in mobile mode and so I selected Standard and the page gives we an error 404, if I remember correctly.
The other issue is, I need to open a link on the site page that displays a PDF document and another link that plays a MP3 audio file, while staying on the web page. The Galaxy Tab will not allow me to have both open. If I have the PDF file open, I can't get to the MP3 file. If I have the MP3 open, I can't open the PDF without closing the MP3.
I wonder if the site needs Java or some other software to make it display and function correctly? Any ideas what I could be doing wrong.
Strangely, My wife's iP#d1 handles this site with ease. Also, my Google Cr-48 handles it just fine. I am at a loss to figure this out. If I can't solve this problem, the Galaxy Tab goes back tomorrow as I am tired of messing with it.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
I've noticed a few pages the stock browser renders odd, such as quoted text here on xda. Opera mobile works fine, scrolls smoother, and doesn't have text input lag. I'd recommend it.
Thanks for your reply.
I tried Opera, Dolphin HD and Beta 6, Maxthon and of course the default, Chrome. They all produced the same result. So far, only Safari renders and allow the PDF and the audio file to run concurrently.
care to share the two sites hence we can try a work around. try typing the command about:debug in address and hit go. New options will appear in settings, try changing the uid to desktop and rendering normal and disable wide page display. Just for a try!

Thanks for the good tips. Those changes made the browser's display much better. It got rid of the garbled text. Question, will these changes remain after a re-boot or do I need to reset each time?
The other issue of not being able to have multitasking while on the subject site remains. The site that I am trying to fully access is www.torahclass.com. When I select the link to open the audio file and then open the PDF the audio quits. I cannot get back to the web page. If I am on the web page, I can't get back to the PDF.
I just spent one hour at Best Buy and they had five different phone/tablet knowledgeable staff take a turn a making it work. No luck! I asked if it would work on the HP TouchPad and their response was no. However, they claimed the multitasking could be done on the Playbook. We were not able to test their hypothesis due to the fact that the Playbook did not have access to their wi-fi.
So, I am beginning to think that this is an issue with Android and WebOS that remains to be solved by Google and HP. I like the Playbook, but I am concerned about RIM's future. Owners might end up with no support from the mfg.
Anyways, thank you both for your help.
try xiialive app, when clicking on an audio stream in browser choose to play with xiialive and once started press home and continue browsing with the stream playing in background! Issue resolved.
Works. Thank you.

[Q] Sharepoint-Access

Hello everyone,
I use an Office-365-Account on my Samsung Galaxy S2 via Exchange/ActiveSync. The account also comprises a SharePoint-Website.
If I open the original E-Mail-App on my smartphone and click on the bottom left button (the one for the properties), it opens a quite long list with much more possibilities in comparison to a "normal" E-Mail-Account.
There is an option called "Dokumente", I hope that the equivalent is named "Documents". If I click on it, there appears a new textbox where I shall enter the address of my Windows Sharepoint Service.
On every Windows-PC, I can access my data stored on the Sharepoint-Server with <xxx>.sharepoint.com/TeamSite/Documents/, but on Android this link doesn't work, no error message, it just returns back to the list of mails.
I've taken two screenshots, unfortunately in German. Can anybody tell me, how I can connect to my Sharepoint-Folder with this onboard-Feature? I've already contacted Samsung, but they weren't able to help me.
Best regards!
Try another browser, or use desktop UI string.
why shall I use another browser? Did you really understand my question? This feature is implemented in the E-Mail-App, not in the browser, the URL was just a hint.
no idea? I can't believe, that there is an Android-Feature and nobody can give support for this, neither Samsung, nor forums...

[Q] DOS App screen size

Hi There:
Total newbie here, please bear with me... Apologies if this post is in the wrong place. Similar questions do seem to have been posted here.
I have an old DOS program, quite small (1.26 MB), which is a GPS calculator. I want to use it on a small tablet (Nexus 7).
I downloaded an app (Aemula), originally for gaming, which allowed me to install a full version of DOS 6.22 in Android. Not just a DOSBox; my program needs full DOS. The shells don't work.
This Aemula/full DOS combination works quite well; the program functions normally. But the app screen is small. I've attached pictures.
I am looking for a way to either increase the font or magnify the screen. Android resolution / density settings don't seem to help.
The app is barely out of Beta it seems; I'm not getting much in the way of replies from the dev despite repeated emails.
I have the apk file downloaded separately to my laptop, and the SDK kit.
I'm wondering what I might be able to do to increase this myself?
Any suggestions appreciated... I'm not a programmer or developer, but persistent.
Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks very much,
waynrayn

I imagine the particular posters have found answers to their problems seeing as this thread
dates from 2014 but I thought it might be worthwhile answering all the same as I ran in to the same niggles when I began using this app so if anyone searching these issues subsequently may find some worth from my reply.
First of all as a far as experience and knowledge is concerned. Firstly with cars;fixing, modifying, engine management tuning, obd2, diagnostics. Basically my auto knowledge is extremely wide and extensive from approx 35 years of obsession and getting stuck in an the deep end whereas my knowledge and experience of computers and smart phone tech is on much, much shakier ground
In fact, for those of my vintage. i.e late 30s,early 40s remember when we were kids. and programmable VCRs were the height of cutting edga technology. Well I'm like the way our parents and grand parents were then. i.e pretty much baffled by it and even following the instructions it was hit and miss whether you actually managed to record that film rhat was on at 4am lol.
So for the second issue brought up by the OP it doesn't matter whether you email yourself the log file or not (I found the few times i tried it that the file wouldn't attach and when it did the problem was the same anyway) you need Microsoft Office or any other type of office suite to view the files. On the pc i have Microsoft office but had to download an app to my phone to view. csv files. Again an office suite that not only displays. csv files but puts them into a spreadsheet format is required.
As for the first issue it's preferable in every way to view the site. on a pc because on the phone display the actual box to sign into is off screen and takes a little bit of zooming out and seaching to find, the same goes after you have signed in when another box appears with a list of the logs files recorded and the tab to choose it. This is where my lack of fundamental computer/web knowledge comes in. I can't tell you why it doesn't sit nicely inti an easily accessible mobile format but it doesn't. Once you've found the first sign in box/pop up it becomes simple, annoying but simple.
As for there being nothing after signing into the webview site successfully all I can assume is either you've no log files to view which you should have if it's all been set up correctly, including choosing which PIDs to send to logfile or the pop up/window where you click on your logfiles is right off screen and has to be looked for. Of course you don't get that problem if accessed using your desktop.

[APP] ME hub

Hello there! I posted this on the WPCentral forum as well, but I though I'd make a post here as well, I hope that's ok.
-=-INTRO-=-
I recently started trying to learn how to make windows phone apps. I've come to windows phone from android (back when ICS was the newest thing), and to my surprise Windows Phone did not have any way to save your own contact information in the 'me hub'. This was a bit annoying, as I did not fancy having to add myself as a contact and scroll through all my contacts whenever I wanted to share my number with someone. I finally decided to learn how to develop, and so, I've made this:...
-=-WHAT IS IT-=-
An alternative to the normal (and now-not-as-useful-as-it-once-was) Me tile. It allows you to share your contact info by tapping on it.
Install it using the XAP Deployment Tool. No interop required. Just normal Dev-unlock.
-=-NOTES-=-
My screenshot features a different header photo for the alternative view ( I didn't include it because I don't 'own' the picture. You can replace it by opening the XAP as an archive and editing the img.jpg image file.
Feedback is welcome!
...although I am very busy at the moment, and I am unsure when/if I will continue to update this app. (One idea was to add a 'post an update' feature that would open MultiShare, but I haven't yet done anything...
The small tile has a black background and a white, round design (not really a tile, more of a button/icon)
