i downloaded mms composer from this site, but every i install it, and then try to run it i get this error message
"cannot find 'mms composer' or (one of it componets).Make sure the path and filename are correct and the required libraries are available"
i runnin wm2003 made a lufts rom kicthen, but i also trinf it on o2 origanl wm2003.i got a XDA pw10a, if thats helps.
i was wondering if any1 out there has mms composer up and running on there XDA 1 or XDA 2, can u please zip up the directory and attact it on the forum for me, try to if i can overwrite working files with non-working if u understand, or if any1 knows a solution to this problem please please do help me.

I am using MMS Composer Version 1.6.0.14 which I also downloaded from this site.
It is working fine on my XDA II.
I have a standard unit, with 1.66.00WWE preinstalled.
Only issue I have with MMS composer is that it displays the contacts by Surname and only displays 10 characters. I have 7 contacts with the same surname of 12 letters and so I cannot pick who is who without remembering their contact numbers.
Was actually looking for a new version the other day but the ArcSoft web site is no longer up and running.

tried installing from inside the /Windows folder and on my SD card with no luck
tips anyone? i downloaded the 1.6.0.14 version
some installations miss 2 files named Camera.sa.CAB and MIDI56.sa.cab
Search and down load those files and it should be OK

You'll need 2 files to enable it:
And this one. Copy them to your XDA and open them. They'll auto-install. Soft reset your XDA and you are done.

I'm trying to search how to use mms composer in PPC 2002, but when I followed the instruction, it still doesn't work "Cannot find some components..."
What should I do? Now I'm using EzWAP, but I can use only one picture and one text.

Yes it is possible to view the names of sms senders when they message you but you need to have their phone details in your contacts list.
I assume when you ask about cooking you are asking about when people refer to "cooking a ROM" this means people have made their own personalised ROM using a web site that allows you to select different programs to be added with the ROM version you want, have a look here.

seems you still have PPC2002, either to use the patch you get from www.yorch.net or upgrade to WM2003 in which this bug is fixed

I've recently found this forum during a google search for tweaks for my newly purchased QTek 2020.
I have read here that the v1.72 ROM incrases battery performance so I would like to upgrade my unit to have this lastest version.
Here's my current Device Information...
ROM version: 1.66.00WWE
ROM date: 02/20/04
Radio version: 1.10.00
Protocol version: 1337.18
ExtROM version: 1.66.130
I use it on the UK T-Mobile network (can't seem to get MMS working though - anyone care to post there working settings?)
Can someone please advise me on where/how to update my device to v1.7.2 ROM

You might want to re-use some of the CAB files from your old ExtROM or even from the T-Mobile 1.72 beta.
There is a thread (search for 1.72 or ruu172*) which explains the objective of all cab's
DO NOT FORGET TO COPY THE WHOLE CONTENTS OF YOUR EXTENDED ROM TO YOUR PC FOR BACKUP (just in case)

my friend you should just write click on file named RUU172602WWE.exe,
its also "InstallShield Wizard" and choose "extract to RUU172602WWE\" it will start to extract the needed files into mentioned named directory. next go to directory and click on file named "HimaUpgradeUt". But at the same your device should be locked on your dock station and it would be connected to your pc via usb you know.
just follow the arrows by clicking. no need to change some things its starting to load the needed files in 5 stages it takes approx.3o min. at last program will direct you to reset your device, you may reset it by taking off the battery, so i did this way. and thats it.
about battery life; i could not enough time to test it i just load it and it stills on dock station at work all day
i had a bt headtset epox marked but last week i gift it to my brother and now im searching for new one. it was quite well with such a normal handy phone but with my qtek i had some range problems. i hope to make my decision and buy new one within next week (i guess it will be jabra. :wink: )..you know, i really wonder how it will work with this new img..

never tried running it on a xda1 back when i had such a device everybody were using ezwap and not composer prob because composer was not around as cab file
when i install mms composer on my xda2 i am required to softreset
have you tried that ?

no i havent used ezwap, looks hard to use, and i dont no how set my orange gprs setting either, i'm a newbie to ppc, i'm used to spv u see, but i hope some1 out there is able to help with this, orange mms setting on the xda or mms composer problem. Thank You.
well if the program will not start at all then thats a problem i suppose because you cant fill in the settings
a search mainly in the network forum would most likely give the correct uk orange settings
how to fill in those settings is described pretty well in this pdf file
you could also try different versions of mms composer to see if one of the other works again search in the forum should give at least 2 different versions of the program

Iam trying to cook my own rom, but i have some problems.. I am using a rom without any extended rom.. But i would like to include a extended rom i make by my self. But how do i make one? and how do i get the rom to run this on the first time it starts after install ?
I would also like if someone could point me to download links on this software as i have been unable to find it!

Hi There,
You can take a sample from the existing Cooked ROM for WM6, usually there is ExtROM folder inside it and the application should be place inside it and also the command to run this application for the first time boot ( the file name is config.txt). you have to put some command inside the config.txt

I downloaded installed from ctrpda, but facing strange problem with missed call.
Sometimes missed calls are not appearing in the list, mobile alret shows 1 missed call, but when I view missed call list, its just not threre.
anyone else faced same problem with this ROM

I cannot undo it because the password is not good. Help me!
Installed app works well. One little problem. The calendar seems to be in russian and will only go as down as year 2443. Wich is verry annoying. Got any suggestions for that?
