Hi
I have 1.60.00wwe dutch rom and "used to have" an extended rom v ???
I hard resetted the device and now there is no extended rom!
Is it okay?
BTW should i upgrade to 1.72 t-mobile?
Thanks
Have you tried to unlock the rom again, some version are invisible unless unlocked.
IF you forgot to lock the Extended ROM before hard-reset, contents is lost!
Always lock the Extended ROM after having worked on it.
I would advise upgrade. With my (dutch) T-Mobile version 1.72.901 (search to find) for instance

I've upgrade my Orange M1000 with the i-Mate V1.72 ROM, with not problems whatsever. I'm now trying to apply the original V1.66 Orange Extended ROM, and no matter what I change the country code to its seems to generate the 'error incorrect country code'
Any ideas of what I should be using, is there a tool to display the country code ? I've tried 'Orange', 'ORANGE', 'i-mate', I-mate', 'i-Mate' etc etc.
The ROM is the Danish V1.66 Extended ROM, does anyone have or know where to find the UK Extended ROM?
Cheers
As far as I know downgrading is generally not recomended. Esecially for the radio version. Why do you want to downgrade???
I happy with the OS & radio being V1.72, but want the original Orange specific extended rom items. I'm therefore just trying to reload the extended rom only, this being V1.66.
If I try and reload the 1.72 extended rom ( ie the one that installed ) that complains about the country code as well.
Why not just load the files you want, why replace the extended ROM itself?
Hello,
I am looking for the latest Rom update For my Qtec 2020.
I Currently have 1.66 WWE
I need 1.72 WWE
Etended Rom 1.72.800 (i think)
And radio version 1.17 or later.
Can someone help me to upgrade my Hymalaya ?
Where Can I get these Files ?
So it is without Provider !
Thanx in advance.
The provider specific bits are in the ExtRom.
So in fact you can use any 1.72.00 upgrade file and delete the ms_.nbf file before proceding.
Afterwards you can fill your Extended Rom with the applications you want using the Extended Rom Unlock tools.
BTW: This is always a better solution because using a 'wrong' ExtRom could get you into CountryID trouble with the next upgrade.
There are numerous posts with 1.72.00 rom upgrades in it, but I  would recomend my RUU172902WWE upgrade. It is documented what the files in the ExtRom all do, so its simple to skip the operator specific ones.
1.72WWE
Hello,
I have trouble finding the Rom you describe.
Do you have a download link for me ?
Thanx
This is the thread:

I have upgraded with http://www.qtek.nu/files/RUU172752WWE.zip and it works fine. However do not forget to first backup and then Hard reset the device before upgrading
I flashed my tytn tmobile dutch phone to the cingular 1.34 but want to go to the original english Tmobile rom (no problem with vender id)
any one has the original rom available for me?
This cingular rom freezes the phone often!
Often, you can't upgrade until an official ROM was made by T-Mobile.
As far I know T-Mobile hasn't made ROM upgrades yet.
I could be wrong though, and interested in such an upgrade.
Every few hours my phone now is stuck!!! I hate this rom and videocalling is off....
I made a mistake upgrading to bootloader version 1.06... I need an official rom now...
Is there any other way?
Tnx!
Check the wiki, there are a some roms available there.
you cant flash another rom since the 1.06 bootloader enforces Vendor ID checking! otherwise i would have changed allready....
Hi,
Has anybody here successfully managed to unhide and unlock the extended ROM on a Telstra supplied imate jasjam? If so, how did you do it? I want to customise mine.
For those who don't have the Telstra ROM, it has SPL 1.06. My understanding is that that if I can downgrade it to a ROM with SPL 1.04 then I can unlock the extended ROM but then I won't have the customised Telstra extended ROM to play with anymore? How can I keep the Telstra extended ROM and still customise it?
Thanks for any tips you have!
Hi there,
my TC 500 with G4 chip and original (T-Com) ROM needs some extras.
My cellphone provider o2 has its own Rom, now the question: I heard there are two things, ROM and Extended ROM. Is it possible to keep my ROM and take some of the .cab files from the Extended Rom from O2 and simply install them?
Both Roms are german Roms, so I don't need to unlock cid (country id), right?
Or is ROM and Extended ROM the same? Some confusion here...
The thing I need is a "homezone symbol" that o2 uses in its *-Rom.
A last question, is it even possible to use the o2 rom from their downloadsource o2online.de because it's the same language???
