Hi, I have installed the new rom (1.72.187). Everything is ok but Messenger. I can surf web sites using gprs and wifi but i cant connect msn. I always get the same error. "Logon to MSN Messenger failed because the service temporarily unavailable." But i can connect with my laptop. Any idea? thanks....
there is some update for pocket messenger at ms's site i would try and install that

Somebody i guess his/her name was pfqiu a moderator at sosaw forum wrote I have upgraded to the new ROM from Source O2. (ROM build v3.17.03, Radio Stack 4.21). It comes with the Wireless Modem application. I managed to let my notebook be connected to network wirelessly using XDA as a modem. I tested on Windows 98.

I was wondering where to get msn messenger,it´s not in my rom included, so not in program files. Can I download it somewhere? Its not available on the msn site,only some msn2003 patch,but i need the original msn messenger if exists in cab format or something...
Can someone post, together with wifi tools... Thanks...

i suggest you to try a other rom. like the 1 i build or the 1 from xda2jojo/toenailed
or get a 3rd party client.

I purchased an S5820 Samsung Ace in Shanghai. It was the only one that I found that could work on China Mobile's 3G service.
Used Amazon.com for apps and downloaded a ton of apps from freewarelovers.com
Only problem left is that there is : I can get my gmail in the mail app, but I cannot sync contacts or my calendars because it doesn't give me Google in the accounts list.
They have all these chinese providers there: KaiXin, and RenRen, as well as Skype as possible Accounts to ADD but NO Google...
Anyone have any ideas?

Phone is Samsung Ace S5820, a special version made for China Mobile... I doubt there is anyone that made such a special rom...

In the Accounts, there is an option for Exchange / Active Sync account…
Username is: m.google.com/[email protected]
Domain is m.google.com
You have to let it fail once or twice, then it will give you the option to edit the username and domain, which it will have totally screwed up in the process.
I had the same problem, i resolved it by rooting, loading clockworkmod recovery, backing up then using CWM installed from a sdcard zip file one of the following from

I am facing issue since I update to [ROM][4.4.4][CDMA/GSM] Official CM11. I have successfully installed it on Stock ROM and currently using stable release 21/09/2014. My only issue is that I am not able to send sms. Whenever I try to send SMS, it shows sms send failed message with red exclamation sign.
I live in Pakistan and I am using Ufone Network which operates on GSM (as per List_of_mobile_network_operators_in_Pakistan on wikipedia)
Can anyone please help me with it. Please feel free in case of any further info.

If you havent tried this already you could always go to the ufone customer support Manual-GPRS-and-MMS-Setting page and find the android htc vpn settings to see if you have the correct ones set.
