does the new Radio 1.17.00 disables externa mic for official carkit?
ill try switching back
cause my xda 2 went back 2 repairs, and i didnt try my carkit since i have it back. and did a rom update after i got it back

You need to perform a hard-reset in order to see it...

According to some people reports, you can't downgrade once on 1.72 Beta. Right now I'm on 1.72 but I have not tried to downgrade so I can't confirm this.

Under "My XDA", when I select connections, it brings up the Select Country and Select Service options.
This is set as follows:
Country = Germany
Service = PostPaid/GPRS
I try changing the country to UK and click finish, the unit does a soft boot, but when I go back to check it's done the change, it's back to Germany.
Anyone know why it keeps reverting to Germany?
Device info:
Rom Version: 1.72.00WWE
Rom Date: 03/15/04
Radio Version: 1.17.00
Protocol Version: 1337.28
ExtROM Version: 1.72.181

This is a known problem acknowledged by O2. It was expected to be fixed in the 1.72 ROM release but it wasn't. However, as far as I know it doesn't affect anything.

I have the same thing, instead of clicking finish when you've selected country ( uk) just close the window ( x) and it will be fine. Anytime therafter that you soft reset you'll have to do the same again.

Not sure if I could make and / or recieve calls when in 'German mode' I'll check it tomorrow though and let you know.

It never caused me any problems.
I downloaded Hard-SP-V7 and installed it to my SoftbankX01HT then did the radio upgrade to 1.54.07.00
After finishing,it say that the upgrade was successfully and the phone is restarted,But I have checked the radio version in my device information that nothing has changed and still in 1.14.01.10
Could anyone please help!!! I am very new to PDA.Thanks and sorry due to open this topic.

i think u cant upgrade your x01ht's radio becuz it had been flashed to 0182.
Mine is white x01ht bought in aug, cant upgrade too.

I have tested the radio since friday on the german unbranded Rom (1.28.407.4). In my opinion better coverage than before. GPS and Wlan no changes. Bt not tested yet. Batterylife has not changed.

It's quiet difficult: mega is in my hands time-to-time. I use Topaz, my son - Mega.
I hope you can take a while give us a surprise, and for the diamond and not cooked either?

You do have the latest radio. On some phones it's displayed as JU and on som as JH. Don't worry about it.
