I ve installed wm2003 se.
ROM Version 2.06
ExtVersion 2.06 and i ve installed mms composer 2.0. When i receive a mms i can read "1 unread" but in the inbox nothing appears or a single line, without text and 0 kb. Any idea? thanks
at least you received something. I didn't even manage to send or receive since the upgrade.
What is the version of MMS software you're using?
I'm using 2.0.0.13, noted the below:
Sending MMSes leave the outbox but they do not get delivered.
Program does not detect a new MMS

Hmmm...did u restore your sms from sprite backup? There r 2 possible explanation for your problem
1)Restore sprite backup from previous 1.72Rom to the SE Rom
2)Your MMS Settings is not properly configured.

I don't have MMS problems with 2.06 ROM and 2.0.0.13 MMS client. It receives and sends messages fine. If you use PocketPlus, you have to add tmail.exe to the list of programs that should be minimized and not closed. 2.0.0.13 MMS client does not send messages with national letters in subject, but this may be a problem in operator's MMS center.

Have Alltel and flashed NFSFAN's WM6.5 21501 V1 TP ROM onto my Touch Pro. I then had no option to insert a picture into a SMS or to create a MMS.
Installed QVGA_Arcsoft_MMS_5.0.27.25 and now I have the option, but MMS messages fail to send or receive
Any thoughts?
Have you tried another rom download?
Its funny that you should post this because im having the exact same problem...what are the odds lol

I do not have the option within a conversation anymore either. However.....if you start at your inbox and select new and mms. It should work. That's been my work around.
Make sure you configure settings!!!
I had the same problem too with a different rom but to fix it, i went to messaging, pic/video options, servers, and i chose the one for my phone, Alltel MMSC.

Just FYI I just installed Arcsoft MMS v5.0.82.79 and it works perfectly with my Touch Pro. No lag in sending or receiving. I tested sending to my wife's phone and she received it within 15 seconds. Same for her sending MMS to my phone. I'm running the 102 version of NFSFAN's 6.5 ROM. Hope this helps!
make sure the mms has the right internet connection selected for connect via in the server settings

If you get the Arcsoft MMS v5.0.82.79 CAB from PPCGeeks forum it has all of the settings built in....I think. I just installed it and didn't have to do any additional tweaking. It just works great!
This may be Android/apps or simply the X10...
After upgrading to 2.1 I re-installed Handcent and sms work great. When I send an MMS however, it is always received twice by the recipient. I've rebooted, looked for any settings that may cause this but.. I am totally stumped.
Anyone ever heard of this? Tried googling but I cannot find anyone with the same problem...

I notice that when I send MMS to myself using the Handcent SMS app then I will have this double MMS problem but when I use the default SMS app then no problem.
I have tested the latest version of Handcent SMS app, version 3.5 which you can download from the market at this moment, no more double MMS problem.

I receive mesaages just fine, but my messages are stuck 'sending'. this is with handcent and default messaging. Also, i am unable to download pictures that i receive..nor do people get the ones i send...what gives. Had no issues on 1.6
Also, sense i am on the subject, anyway to make handcent look like the default messenger?

SMS issue
If you are not receiving it sounds like there is a problem with your phone account, phone your network operator and check that they haven't put a bar on your account (for late payment etc). MMS issue sounds like you don't have the right APN for your network, either use the Sony Ericsson set-up wizard to get the right settings or get your network operator to send them to you.

I'm hearing ya mate, probably 1 in 10 messages "cannot send" but is ok if i retry sending .

I had it too. I just restarted the phone and now it's working again. No idea what caused it.

Not sure anyone having same problem as me when receiving MMS, even if you send a MMS to yourself, you will receive 2 MMS messages?

I know what is the problem as I tried sending a MMS to myself using the default messaging client and I only received 1 MMS in return. When I view in Handcent SMS app, it also show one MMS instead of two MMS.
Guess the problem lies on the latest version of Handcent SMS app.
I'm having a problem with MMS messages. Whenever I try to receive MMS messages I get this error:
Message not downloaded
Generic network failure
I flashed a new version of the ROM I'm running, and confirmed that the APN settings are correct. When I am going from zero text messages this is not a problem. When I restore my 17k text messages, I suddenly cannot receive MMS. Is there something I need to do in order to fix this? I've seen this happen with three different roms so I'm guessing this is an android issue and not something specific.
FYI, I flattened the phone back to stock. Then I installed a custom rom but no restored messages and I can't receive mms messages again.

I can send and receive text messages but not MMS messages. If I try to send a picture it fails.

I have the same issue, and it's intermittent. What I have found is stopping the mms service from settings, apps, all and restarting fixes it for a bit.

I think I might have just found a solution to the issue, at least for me. I had Ad Block installed, and when I uninstalled it, MMS was functional again.
