I need some help. I have a Qtek 1010 and have a problem when receiving SMSs via our GSM network Vodacom. The message appears in 1 line ( all carriage returns/linefeeds are ignored ).
When I receive the same SMS on my 9210i, the SMS is nicely formatted

i am using an i-mate ROM1.66WWE
i upgraded it to ROM1.72WWE from the Offical site...
it's all great except SMS status reports! i don't recieve them!
what is the problem?
Did you used to get them before? because some operators don't send delivery reports. some do when you put something in the subject or something like that. I remember some posts about that in the past.
do you request them? maybe the registry key from the other thread has disappeared with the upgrade.
yes i used to recieve them always when i request SMS delivery notification..
i didn't use any cab file to change the registery to Always Request SMS delivery notification.. i prefer to do it manually...
all i did was upgrading from 1.66WWE to 1.72WWE...
is there any way to recieve them again?
I receive them on 1.72 Proximus. So I have no idea

i noticed something today !
when the phone is sending an SMS i put it near my pc speakers u know that annoying sound (tt tt ttt tttttt )
after the sms is sent and delivered to my bro mobile....i hear that sound from the speakers again but nothing is shown on my device....
i remebered something about SMS notifications..the report was delivered to me as a regular sms contains (delivery successed or failed)....
after a while my operator (syriatel) changed the report to a flash sms which appears suddenly on the screen...telling the status...
(on Nokia Symbain Device like 6600/7610 first a regular sms and then flash which can be seen at Messaging/Reports)
u understand what i mean?
on both my i-mate was recieving the status reports...
maybe the New ROM has something with flash SMS????
anybody knows something about it?

don't know anything about flash sms
i just tried the Flash SMS it's no problem at all the device recieve it!
the problem is the reports !!
if the problem is from the update...
is the Rom or the Radio Rom who is responsible for the SMS control?

I am experiencing this problem in all versions of ROMs tested so far. Even in the original ATOM WM5 ROM.
The problem is when I call somebody, who is already in another conversation and have his call waiting feature enabled, I can't sense it from my mobile. I don't get any ringing tones either. It just remain silent and keep showing in the display "Dialing...". Just seems like its searching hard for the network...
I think other ATOM users are also facing the same problem. Have anyone sense it? Any solution on this problem?

I think it is normal if you are calling someone with the call waiting feature enabled, we won't hear anything either engaged tone or ringing tone as our calls in waiting/queue mode. Only he/she will hear the beep sound stating that someone is calling.

I'm come from Bangkok, Thailand and All Rom i ever install is at the same problem (WM5 Original, WM5 O2asia, WM6 Charteux last edition, WM6 Charteux current edition)
Problem is sometime calling, It just no any sound at all and keep showing "Dialing" and may be nothing happen (may be freeze or long wait) when press end key on screen or hangup button. But i don't sure about the reach is busy or cann't connect (Used to ask my friend that his call is busy when i'm calling, he told not) Sometime cann't reach the network, it could happen again, It's seem better when use WM6 (Can ending, not wait for long time)
Is it may be radio ROM?? Or Bug??

All my friends using ATOM and me too is facing the problem from the very first ROM to till today the latest ROM of Jiggs.
All other devices show status Waiting while ATOM show status Dialing.
Is this a problem of DialPad or anything else.
Does anyone have any solution. Please inform....

For clarification to powerwoot, my experience so far with call waiting from other handsets like Nokia, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson is the display shows a message "Call Waiting..." and then ringing tone is played. So I come to know that other party is busy with some other conversation.
Hope I make you all understand the problem. For your information this feature worked perfectly in O2 XDA II mini with the official ROM.

is there any way to have the user notified of the status of the party that you are calling?
ie/ if i make a call, and it will display "call waiting..." when i'm trying to reach someone on the other end...

Go to Start>Settings>Phone in Services tab set the settings for Call Waiting to Notify me.
I am not sure, but it may help cause I get status Busy... now at least.

Hello, I Have Just Upgrade My Rom to windows mobile 6.1 b199 from windows mobile 5 , thanks to helloworld,, but i have got a big problem, my 6828 always freeze when i make a call or receive a call,, the speaker jammed and the call ended. If that happen, i have to end the call and the phone data connection will be closed and the phone will find the network again,,it always happen if i make or receive a call longer than 30 seconds ,, help me , i can make a call anymore,, is there any solution ?? i have done a hard reset many times, but it didn't work ,,thank you
I hv the same problem with my MWG Atom Life White Limited Edition, using PDAVIET ROM WM6.1 Manilla 2D (Core 20764), already use 20924 & 20755 before...both of them always have the same problem..

Hi dody_software,
When my radio driver 0.33, I ever encounter this problem, not only it, my data connection always bad, and need to reset to establish it. So I upgrade the radio driver to 0.34, and after that no one of that problem happened again. I suggest you to upgrade your radio driver to 0.34.
I'm having same problem. It seems the phone or maybe network problem.
Try manualy switch to 3G only on: Setting -> Phone -> Network -> Network Selection.
But in some places, I can leave it "Auto" coz I can call or receive with 3G or GSM without any problem.
Hope this could help.
Maybe somebody else could give us a better explanation.

I bought my Rose in November last year, when it had just been released. It's my first smartphone, I'm very happy with it, and I was very happy to find this forum. I'm looking forward to learn new tweaks and tips for my phone, and getting some problems solved.
My first issue with the phone is rather pressing, so I will start with that one.
Since a few days back, I can no longer read or send text messages. I can see the list of messages, and read the first line of each, but when I try to read them in full, there is just a blank screen. The same happens when I try to write a new message from scratch. I don't know why this happens. My only theory is that it has to do with the memory, a few weeks ago I got a warning that the SMS memory was almost full. I deleted a lot of messages after that. However, I just realized that those messages were never deleted. Then I found the "empty deleted messages" option in the menu, and tried that. But still, when I entered the inbox the next time, the deleted messages were back again.
So my guess is that the problem has to do with the full memory, but I don't know. Could anyone help me with this problem, or should I go back to the store?

You can always try a hard reset before going back to the store.
I wondered when see the htc s740 in iran, kish island ; i had before imate jam , tytn and tytn 2 and now have both tytn 2 and htc s740 . s740 is first smartphone and i have not imagination of it's menu and interface . however worked this and now is my favorite mobile becase of good speaker and 1234... keyboard .
But Since of buying s740 i have a problem in sms date !!! for example from one operator sms sent in 1 pm and this recived at the same time (1 pm), but in mobile write sms recivied 5:30 pm :-?? and other operator if sms sent and recived in 1 AM , mobile shown 4:30 PM !!!!! before this, i seen this problem in nokia 6131 and 5310 !!!
i have not this problem whit tytn or tytn 2 . please help me for this BIG problem !!!!!
