camera software 2003se - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

i used to have the proper camera software installed on my se 2.02 device, which didn't go boo when taking a picture in landscape mode...
but my device crashed and i lost everything,
now i've tried to find the right software again but somehow i can't find it, tried several different cabs from chinese to english but nothign worked.
maybe somebody could give me a hand there.
thanks in advance.

well i've found it, after hours of struggling.
this version is compatible with se, maybe it'll save somebodys time.

all of the camera software supports landscape even the older versions that came with Wm2003 instead of SE, just hit the contacts button to go from portrait to landscape while in the camera app. Has always worked good on mine.

That's right...just press the contact button and you have them all.

not really... go into the today screen, switch to landscape, then start camera and you'll see what happens...
i'm on the xda train since, umm since the xda2's been released in germany.. and well it's PR!

Thanks Bros
Thanks for the trick Bros - learning something new everyday.
dutty aka pwns it's great to see a familiar name - miss the glory days Bro!

Landscape Mode for the Camera in XDA II
I like solutions that are simple, and you couldn't get much simpler than mine to produce a photo in Landscape!
First, get into the camera mode. Then hold the XDA II in front of you, so you can see the camera view on the screen. Then (the really clever bit!) rotate your wrist through 90° and, voila, the image is now in Landscape.
Works for me!

yeah, krueger ;P well it was up again but it went down 2 days ago...
about the camera it's not about "a camera that supports landscape function" it's about "a camera that works properly when using wm2003 se in rotated mode"

WM6 - VGA ?!!??

Hi there,
I flashed succefully my Athena X7500 to WM6.
Now I'm searching for screen resolution. Where can I change it? Isn't it possible to change to 640x480 with installing any separated application?
Best Regards,
netzzwerg
I dont think WM6 has true VGA.
All I can find is an extra menu option on PocketIE to use hires mode, nothing else though
try mvr true vga 1.3 works a treat....
^Can you attach the setup file for TrueVga 1.3
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I guess bad moment
here are some screen shots with MvrTrueVga... While it adds some more screen space, with my eyes its a little too small for most apps. You can modify the font size, but then its too big when you switch back to qvga...It has some uses, but now with IE's high res and font size adjustment, I don't use it much. I used to use it a lot with my universal though.
Hi eagle1,
Try using MVR 1.2..I found it better than 1.3.Were u able to get Windowslive working..?
I installed MVRTrueVga 1.3 and Windows Live is not working properly with it.
Also It has problem showing windows live today's plugin...
Version 1.2 used to run Windows Live correctly including the today's plugin.
Also note that some satnavs (based on Igo My Way) don't work in true VGA mode - you have to switch first

Has anyone else tried 1.2?
On WM5 Ameo I used to have 1.3 on, but whenever I switched back the WLM Today plugin would be horrendously slow.
Now that I'm on WM6, I think I'll stick with QVGA. Pocketbreeze is still nice and small but I sometimes had trouble whilst not sat down that when I tried to click the volume icon i'd miss and hit the signal indicator, or vice verca on VGA.
I installed the windows live 5.0 cab file (i used on my universal) over the top of the install in wm6.
It works now
I have installed 1.3 on WM6 , and the problem I get is that the Phone Dialler is about a cm north where it should be , meaning you can't see the numbers you dial
I am a bit slow , am I missing something here ? or has anyone else had this problem ?
Please, show schreenshot of backlight setting screen in VGA mode.

you cant adjust the sliders. try using pocketplus as that has a slider icon on the today screen to adjust brightness so can easy adjust. without this or similar vga is useless but an easy fix. sure other programs have this feature too but i use pocketplus and very useful if your outdoors to turn right up.

That 2.5 isn't all it's cracked up to be . . . I can't live without landscape Manila on my Fuze anymore.
XOR ROM has 2.5. Still some more issues to work through ....but it will give you a quick look / feel.

Awesome. I didn't realize Landscape worked too. In that case, I want it! The Footprints tab is cool.
On/Off switch to landscape TF3D2.X
I would love to see a way to have a switch to turn on or off the landscape for TF3D2 or future versions. It takes too damn long to wait for it to rotate back to portrait when I'm in a hurry. Sometimes TF3D's landscape is awesome because it takes NO TIME to rotate back to portrait and that gives me the opportunity to get more things done, quicker. Having that switch would be the dogs balls!

Well, I think in most versions of TF3D, there's a reg key for EnableLandscape="true", meaning landscape is enabled. If this key is set to "false" - you guessed it - landscape will be disabled. If that's all you want to do, that should be easy. I don't know if 2.5 has a similar entry, but I don't see why it wouldn't. You could also just disable rotation in Manila.
But personally, using the SensorSDK4, my current Manila rotates just fine.

I by mistake bought ButtonRemaper and now I was tried it and it works, maybe better say that if you keep button pressed than camera will start. But shooter doesn't work (maybe because that it haven't two state (focus - shoot)?)
//EDIT: Ahh, I notice that I didn't read your whole post.... if you want this feature, you will have rewrite this in app which you using for control of camera.

Did someone identify a way of using a hard button as shutter for the camera, I would find it really useful if so.
"Camera Advance" can set your volume control as shutter.
But I do hope someone will be able to come up with using the search button as shutter for camera apps. Its perfectly positioned when shooting with the phone on landscape position.
If you are using a custom ROM then Cyanogen 7 mod from milks camera will let you do that the only downside is you have to reset the exposure everytime cause it is a lil dark but it is really nice i love it i got so tired of using that stupid lil screen button so check it out
you can

3D Eyetracking UI Where?

Guys this launcher is damn cool
http://gizmodo.com/5159229/3d-eyetracking-cellphone-interface-is-like-deep-man
but i think i have searched for more than 20 pages for download link i couldn't find it plus that even is not mentioned the release date,
I'm really disappointed , second thing is that all current launchers except spb shell and mxhome x and regina all only matter of icons and some cube turning , nothing more.
Any help??????!!!!!!
the others are boring i need 3d awesome launcher.
Shouldnt work without front facing camera anyway.
I wouldnt expect the defy to do this.
there is no need for a front cam, it works like the diamond-hologram , only by moving the phone !
i want to try mxhomex , but i cant find it anywhere
So how do you know that?
It might work with the 3d compass to give that holo feeling but i doubt that as they clearly state, that it takes your eye-position into account. If it wouldn`t do that it will be very prone to displaying a wrong viewing angle when the user moves around as it has no means of detecting the relative position of the eyes.
