Is it possible to change the language of my xda2 from english to french.
I'm living in Hong Kong and , here there is only the english version !!!

You'll need to install/flash a new ROM for this on your devive. I've seen posts about French ROM for XDA II on this forum.

Sure not.....
You have to install a new ROM. There is no possibility to change the language without using an other ROM
For more Infos try the "Search"-Button....

as far as i know then the lanaguage is hardcoded into the rom
so to change language you need to update the whole rom
that is after you find a rom in the language you want
never messed with it though since i really really really really hate locarlizing in general, if it's all in english then thats just fine for me

If you do a seach on this forum for "change language", you find a lot of information.
But it's not easy. Things depend on the ROM version you have in the XDA II and which telecom operator supplied it.

Dear All .
Greetings . I am seeking to upgrade or change or remove the Dutch language that is being used on MDA Vario 2 .I just bought it from T-Mobile but very unfortunately everything is in Dutch and even when I comand language change still I do have Dutch . Does anyone knows how to get a software that can help me with installin English instead of Dutch ? Please I need your help as much as you can .

People have been trying to do that for years! :LOL
You need to flash an english rom on your device. Read the upgrading FAQs:

i have the possibility to buy the lolite in french language but i'm italian there is the possibility to make the change?

Not yet, you'll need to hardSPL the phone first before flashing a ROM in another language. And hardSPL is not ready yet....
it's ok the hardspl is not ready for lolite........

It might be possible, it worked for my dutch phone which is now english. Ask cmonex for further details.

the language of htc is in English.
I use the program 'local custom' to change the language of the hero in French.
I installed the new rom from HTC, the problem is that language didn't change?

Settings/Local Settings===choose French
I only choose English ?
If you want french support ... use french forum

Belgian ROMs have English, French and Dutch on them.
And if you have the standard EU one, that also has English, French and Dutch in it.
You need to go to home > settings > locale and text > select locale
select one of the French locales. If you have the EU rom on it, one should be Francais (Belgique) listed.
Otherwise, it sounds like you have a hooky ROM.
