I was wondering if anybody using the O2 Germany network with Homezone feature has updated his XDA2 to the "new" 1.6 t-mobile ROM
I am a little afraid, as I read in some thread, that the telefon stack is special to support the homezone feature.

Qtek and T-mobile seem to have upgraded to 1.60 but I do not think that 2 has officially released something beyond 1.30. Does anyone know if there is a 1.60 rom for the xdaII?
Would it be ok for me to upgrade to the qtek 1.60.21 (would I loose the O2 warranty?)
Do I just run the ruu16021...exe from dangaard or is it more complex than that?

i did the upgrade van t-mobile
I did the upgrade van t-mobile germany , which you can find on their website and its works fine, it is the same upgrade to the 1.60 as the one from t-mobile nl. i would stik to the dutch one, its perfect and in englisch
I had it on my machine, but re-upgraded to the german one, and no problems with country codes whatsoever

I haven't even found any information on O2-Germany's Pages!
Is myxda.com the right place to look for official Updates from O2-Germany ?
(Or is that a O2 UK Page ? Or a non-country specific Support Page?)
Can anyone enlighten me ? - I'm very annoyed by the extremely buggy Firmware that came with my XDA II Device...

Please be patient - there will definitely be an O2 UK ROM upgrade for Xda II, it is just that there are still some outstanding bugs to be resolved. Obviously this is no consolation given that other networks have released theirs, but c'est la vie!
where can i find the t-mobile netherland rom update for the mda 2 i look on t-mobile.nl but i can not find it any where. i am now using rom number 1.003 usa :?: :idea: :shock:

I have an XDA II from O2 and upgraded to 1.60.21 Dutch with a cooked 02 rom from Thariman. It works great, and haven't got a problem ever since. YOu can find the links into this forum. Anyways, as I can see you use Greek Vodafone, can you help me with the MMS settings as the guys in Vodafone seem confused?

I am waiting for the official O2 upgrade, since I am worried about loosing the warranty. :-/
Guys at GR Voda where less than helpfull when I asked them Anyway try this: http://www.ace-hellas.gr/qtek/ these are the Greek importers for the Qtek and have the settings on-line for all Greek networks, allthough MMS with vodafone do not always work...
It would also be helpfull if you checked the greek xda postings at www.myphone.gr

XDAII Bugs
Dear Tabbycat,
I noted your reply on this message thread on 23 Jan 2004 and being an O2 XDAII owner within warranty I wanted to wait for the official O2 ROM upgrade, after the testing is complete. I would be interested to know how the testing is going and whether you know if there is now a planned upgrade release date?
Also, today I posted a new message about bugs that I have spotted in my XDAII software. Are you aware of these bugs?

i spoke to O2-Uk today concerning the bugs i was having, and they said they would be rectified when the new upgrade is released on the 21st march 2004.

On the German t-mobile website they have the upgrade with number 1.60.07.
Has anybody any idea wich ROM, Radio en Ext ROM version this has,

No then your machine becomes german language.
I did it the otherway arround, I had upgraded to the dutch t-moble rom, which made the machine english, then later upgraded back to the german t-mobile rom which made it german again
Wel i see that I have excactly the same geräate information, so it makes no sence to upgrade to that one. It means we have to wait a bit longer for an radio upgrade

I have an german MDA II from T-Mobile (an Himalaya ?).
So, what is/are the actual updates for this device?
I found an older update T-Mobile 1.66
then a newer one to 1.72
and in the forum updates to WM2003 SE and that ever...
What I need is:
sync with outlook over BlueTooth,
BT for headset(that makes trouble) and my gps,
Word and Excel (Turn Screen in SE?) .

If you just want to be sure to have it stable, supported (warranty) & working: Go with a specific T-Mobile (GER) 1.72 version.
Should be on their website.
I fyou want to experiment (and get landscape): Have fun and get all SE versions and decide which one you like.

Hi I have a problem with my Qtek 9090, I wanted to make an update to the German T-Mobile version “BA_TMDE_14201_122_11300_Ship.exe” but there I got the information:”ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR 17-17-34-34-34” I have search in this forum and find a lot of information, but still I’m not sure how to do anywhere can I find the needed software. Have someone a exact detail description how to get a Qtek 9090 to a German T-Mobile MDA III? Before I have had a MDA III and there was the update without problems possible.
