Hi,
My XDA II was up and running until I wanted to flash it with Wm2003se.
I not sure if the battery is fading out or what but the flash didn't conplete and I am left with the "serial 1.06 boot screen" I have tried numerous times of taking out the battery, letting everthing drain out and trying again. but it still goes back to the serial screen. Also activesync won't recognize the device and Windows XP picks it up as "Unknown Device". When I try and reflash it, I get the "communication error". Could someone dump thier Rom and/or instruct me on how to flash my device using my SD card?? Or if there is another way to revive my XDA II, I am open to anything. Thanks!!

Come on....Somebody help us, we have a crisis club going on here!!!
did u guys follow all the intructions in upgrading the rom?
try this
disable activesync by ctrl+alt+del and kill wcescomm.exe by end process
make ur phone in bot screen
put ur phone in the cradle(with the power supply, so that ur bat will not drain).
usb should be in the display and not serial
make sure the 3 files(ms_ , radio_ , and nk) are in the same folder with himaupgrade.exe
run himaupgrade.exe
Wait about 5 processes i think. after the pc will let u know if it is done... get ur xda from the cradle and hard reset it (power button+reset button)...
if it doesnt work still im sory, im just a newbie, i just did mine.... maybe u should read more...

I assume you did a hard reset?? In the past three days I have gone from Windows Mobile 2003 >>> Windows Mobile 5 >>> back to Windows Mobile 2003 SE (SIN's magic version available here on XDA-Developers) which I like best of all (for many reasons, mainly speed and reliability). As someone else stated, you need to put it in the cradle AFTER deleting the old profile in ActiveSynch on the PC. Oh, and make sure you are using ActiveSynch 4 or higher. This is now available from Microsoft's site.
Hello Guys!
My friend bought a SGS2 and he whanted to root it and to put MiUi on it. Now he unpluged it while it was in the Odin doing something with PIT...
It stopped and now he can't go anymore in the download mode and the phone remains black...
is that a full brick? is there any chance to run it again?
do you need more informations?
I looked throuth the threds but i couldnt find something like that...
i hope anyone can help
Will Samsung repair that with Warranty?
Can i know why he disconnected his phone during using something with Odin?!
He made a Solid Brick he cant do anything else than Warranty or JTAG..

If after trying multiple things like removing battery and what not and the phone won't boot or enter download mode, yup, it's a complete brick

It's not the most correct thing to do (actually, not at all, it was your friend's fault entirely, also voiding the warranty), but your friend can tell them that the device began to heat while charging, he unpluged it and it died, sometimes it happens...
As for the JTAG you asked on the other post, it's a physical connector inside the cellphone used to write the flash memory, it involves opening the device, pinning some terminals and programming via PC, it's pretty common on embedded devices to load the program for the first time.
There is still a chance to get the phone back to its senses!
you will need 2 people to do this
read all 5 steps then only proceed!
1. Remove the battery.
2.Start odin in your pc.
3.connect the mobile to the pc using cable.
4.keep pressing the keys required to get in download mode. i.e. power+home+volume down key.
5.ask someone else to put the battery in your phone keeping the keys pressed!.
if every thing goes right Odin will detect the phone Flash it with a good rom you know which works! and never take out the cell from odin when its being flashed until odin says Success!

Won't work if the PIT wasn't completed therefore leaving the device void of a bootloader, but it's worth the try, you have nothing to lose...
Wow, nice will try today... I will get the phone... would get a free Pizza if i would make it work again! thank you guys for your answers. I will tell you what happend...
is there a how ti for jtag? Could Be the solution...

And when they dont repair it for free or less than 50 $ I have to send it to the JTAG..
thank you guys for all your support
Afaik u never supposed 2 use pit options in odin for gs2 otherwise u end up with a brick anyway regardless if u remove the cable or not. perhaps read more and be more careful if u ever decide 2 flash again. i would not be happy with that friend lol.

I badly need your help guys.Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.

You need to relock the bootloader, but in order to do that you need flashmode
It goes as follows:
If you are NOT on stock firmware, start pc companion
choose update with your phone disconnected from your pc
it will give you a repair option
choose that, select your phone model from the list and wait until it pops up the dialog telling you to connect your phone in flashmode.
Connect your phone with the usb-cable
press home and power-buttons at the same time so you get a hard reboot.
As soon as the screen goes black, release those two buttons and press the back-button, it should enter flash-mode.
If it doesn't work the first time, keep trying this method until the dialog disappears and it starts flashing.
After that, open S1Tool and press the restore-button, it will relock your bootloader and your phone should be in good working order again, hopefully.
Thanks for the reply SmG67
Thanks for the reply SmG67 but I still cannot get through to the flash mode. Adding to my original post I would like to say that I can access the xrecovery screen and also have my phone rooted having installed super user but I cannot get the flashing green light to appear no matter how much I try.I am still trying the method SmG67 has suggested till any other replies appear.
Thanks

that might work, although that link is from the Experia Arc forum, if you search in this (x10mini) forum you will find other tools to do that too.
It won't help you at all with flashmode though, because that is a hardware feature that should work, regardless what software you use.

Thanks for the reply just4lists but I am still out of luck with this issue.I guess there has been some issue with the hardware may be the chip on the device. Also if there is any solution to remove the simlock please let me know so that I can use whatever is left of the cell.
Thanks

I have attached a screen shot of the same ..please have a look
So when you hold the volume up and power button for like 3 minutes your home and back button don't flash?

I don't think the script will work anyway. It is not designed for your phone variant. You might want to ask dexter93 in his thread, if he can help you with that.
It would need edited to support this phone and the correct firmware zip and mount points modified but I don't see why it would not work. I have looked at this script and how Emmc recover works.
