1. Download the 20060426 from www.seeo2.com
2. Run DSUU, after extracting the files in directory windows\temp DO NOT CLICK NEXT
3. Copy all 6 files into temporary or another directory
4. From that 6 files, copy 2 files with the extention nb0 (diskimage_ver.nb0 and eboot.nb0) to your mini SD
5. After copying into your mini SD, rename diskimage_ver.nb0 into diskimg.nb0
6. Now, you can run bootloader by pressing camera and soft reset ( you have to put your mini SD into your Atom so that the bootloader will boot from mini SD
7. Just wait and if there is some error message do not bother them, the most important that downloading OS Image and Eboot
8. After that your screen will blank, do not worry or panic
9. Pull out your mini SD and connect USB to PC and run bootloader again
( please make sure that your usb already connected to pc )
10. Now u can normally run the 20060426
This topic has been posted in many threads, there is no need to use the SD if this procedure is not done correctly you will loose the bootloader all together. Instead use the method posted by Luchao:
1.run atom 0416 rom update program, after the DSUU program extracted the files, don't click "next", go to windows/temp folder, copy those files extracted, except "diskimage_Ver.nb0" and "ExtendedRom.img", then save them somewhere else.
2.run july exec rom update program, after the DSUU program extract the files, don't click "next," go to windows/temp folder, overwrite with the files you just saved, this will leave only the diskimage_Ver.nb0 & ExtendedRom.img files as of the july exec rom, others become atom rom files, including an older bootloader which allows you to flash back other roms.

i tried the activesync mode, but not working.
finally i used bootloader method. just copied eboot.nb0 file to your miniSD. and enter bootloader mode.

bro, just klik next one more time, and DSUU will extract the others files
tjs0509, I tried your sd card method and totally lost the bootloader when I tried camera and soft reset. Is there anyway to bring back the bootloader?

Homer285, any help. I really lost the bootloader in the SD card method. I tried to connect USB and the 0721 ATOM EXEC recognize the ATOM, but when downloading the ROM, the ATOM just rebooted. I cannot press camera and reset to go to bootloader mode. Is bootloader mode be activated by a program in SD card so that it can be run in the explorer. Please help.

this method broke my bootloader too. i spent about RM200 to repair my bootloader...grrr
I ordered my g tablet yesterday and cant wait for it to come in. So tonight I am downloading a rom and clockworkmod v8 so I will be ready when it comes in. However I need a little help. I read the guide on installing clockworkmod and a rom but cant firgure something out. It says to un zip the files into the root of the device. When it means un-zip does it mean to "right click" than "extract all" Because when I do this the recovery folder doesn't have the zipper on it anymore but the update folder still does. Is this right?
The recovery folder and the zip file called update is what you will need to transfer to the root of your SD card when you connect your tablet to the PC. The recovery folder should not be in a zip format, but the update file should be.

the update folder just says "update" it doesn't say update.zip however it is a zipped folder. Is it the same thing?
Most operating systems, referring to Mcrosoft, hides the extensions of files, but if it has the look of a zip file or what ever software you may be using, I would assume that would be the update file just not showing the .zip extension.
You are making it hard. Just do this.
Hook up Gtablet to your pc by USB. See which drive your pc asigns to your GTablet. Download the correct Clockwork Mod you need.
Unzip it to a folder on your pc. Then just drag and drop the two files after zipping to the drive your pc assigned to your Gtablet. On mine it is G. Yours may be F.
Then just power down your GTablet and then power up holding down power and volume + till you get Viewsonic screen and a message in upper left corner that recovery has started.

I am trying to get my viewsonic g tab back to factory. I installed the APX driver ok, and downloaded the applicable files. I try to run the nvflash_gtablet.bat script and it comes up with a file configuration error that the file can't be found. I am running windows 7. Any suggestions?
i have never done nvflash and never got brick and loaded multiple roms and went on dif dev branches

rename the zip file to "update.zip"
hopefully you partioned your tab before nvflashing it. if not then please ignore this.
put update.zip in root of your sd card.
create a folder named "recovery" and place an empty file named command with this text inside

then go into recovery and let it update.

ps to make files in win 7. i open notepad and paste code then save a command.tmp then i go and delete tmp. it leaves it as a file. and works

h i because you didn't have the image files to flash into. This is probably the most common mistake that beginners make.
