I have just upgraded from XDAII to Orbit 2. I have a dual sim card that fit ok with XDAII but it makes the Orbit 2 case bow.
Has anyone got a dual sim in their Orbit 2 phone that doesn't or know how I can fit it?
Thanks
Why don't you use an adapter with cutting?
One's a work sim so am unable to "butcher" it! Is this the only option?
If it is looks like I will need to find some spare back panels.
Thanks
Hi,
I'm in the same situation as you. I got a professional and my own sim card.
I don't think you boss will blame you if you become a butcher cause you will be more efficient with two sim card in a the same phone!
With the most of HTC product your only solution is to use the cut way.
But it works and you have some video to show you, just in case! Go to see simore.ch
Has anyone had any experience of the MAGICSIM ELITE - GALAXY S3 DUAL SIM ADAPTER? I have tried it in my SGS3 and a) it's incredibly tight and b) it reports "no SIM".
It may be that I am being paranoid but I really don't want to force the micro-SIM and the adapter in too hard. Even when I think I have it in OK, it doesn't see the SIM cards.
Teach me....
Yep I've got one, works fine. Just pushed it in with my finger nail until the spring load clicked in place. If in doubt maybe just email Magic-sim?
I got mine a few days ago and the STK menu does not work. I am unable to switch between SIMs.
I have contacted Magic-SIM and am awaiting a solution.
it seems Magicsim ELITE doesn't exist ... check on magicsim.com there is no ELITE product ... I've ask them and they are not aware about "ELITE" ... so it's smell fake product their are more expensive and have the same software/hard as magicsim 28th PLUS as you can find on www.magicsim.com/site
It looks more like it was developed especially by them as I have both the older 28th version and the new elite one and they are definately different.

Nerdic421 all of your posts are advertising a company called eurodualsim which seem to sell fake Magicsim products..... Looks like youve been BUSTED! Lol
Nice try.
OK, I finally got it installed and fired up with the help of Danny at www.magic-sim.co.uk.
Pity that it really doesn't work at all well. The Dual Sim application is visible and flips between SIMs. However, it's REALLY REALLY slow to register the SIM at boot time and then at switchover time. It is also very unstable and will drop both SIMs out of service at times, which kinda makes the phone useless.
All in all £35 wasted, but "Caveat Emptor" I guess. I have given up with this.

I had a similar responsiveness issue with a dual sim adapter I got for my old S2 but it was because I was using a sim card that was about 3 years old and that was causing the issue. Once I replaced that it was fine, maybe this is the issue you're having. This ones working really well in my S3, takes about 20 seconds to switch sims and has been extremely stable so far.
The primary SIM is a micro SIM and is about 4 weeks old direct from T-Mobiles local store. The other one is an elderly FIDO SIM but that's not even getting looked at during the boot process.

I'd bet you my right arm that your outdated sim is what's causing you mischief. These things rely on the full circuit so even when you're just using the first sim the signal is running through the second sim. My issue was also because of an old sim in the sim 2 slot.
Change that sim and I bet it works as it should!
Just installed this myself and so far all is perfect. No problems switching :good:
Has anyone tried the Gmate+ btw?

Nope although i only want 1 sim active at a time so a dual sim adapter is very good for me, i am happy with the Magicsim Elite for now.
Brillo! Moved overto the S3 a week ago and my Magicsim ELITE is working nicely. I've got experience with these but I found installation easy.
There's like 3 magicsim websites out there. Which one is the legit one or the best one for us UK ppls?
Also, have any of you had a problem with the fit under the cover? seems to me like there might be a bit of a bulge. Any issue with cases?

I've had a few from www.magic-sim.com and always experienced a great service and product. They're also based in the UK so I've always had the item the next day. No bulge at all btw.
can someone confirm me, the magicsim is ok to buy or not. and is it effecting NFC usage?

Yep I've had a few items from them over the years
The ones for which the adapter is working, can you tell me what kind of subscriptions you have (3G, LTE)?
My issue is that I can go up to HPSA+ on my SIM 1 (the one fitting the original S3 SIM slot) while on the second SIM, I'm blocked at EDGE. I tested the second SIM on another phone and there it goes up to HSPA+.
Also, to get it to EDGE, I have, after switching to the SIM 2, activate GSM only networks on the settings so that it register itself to the network first and then activate data services. A complete mess...
Could it be that SIM 2 is too old for dual sim adapters? How can one tell this?
Thanks in advance
Does anyone knows a trustworthy third party that can SIM unlock an AT&T Padfone X?
I want to buy one, i know they won't unlock it because i'm not a customer, and i don't know anyone who have an AT&T contract, so, the only option is to use a third party unlock service, but i've only found master unlocks, but the website has very bad reviews on several sites, some tells that it takes more than 45 days, and sometimes it never answers...
Thanks
Hi Just wondering if you found any unlock method, I have had the phone for 3 weeks, new to ATT and flying in a week. Based on other answers people won't get it unlocked very easily.
Thanks !
same issue

You'll have to have someone on AT&T unlock it (presuming its been paid off and everything) for you.
My eyes are gonna bleed I've read so much! As of yet I have not found an answer to solve my problem. I just finished putting a new LCD/Digitizer assembly on this 5.8 (model in title). I bought it as unlocked, but will not read the SIM card. I even tried both slots. Is there anything I have to do to make it read it? Sounds dumb I know, but this is my first dual SIM device. I just need it working yesterday.
Solved: stupid mistakes and the time they consume. I guess being a dual sim device, the #1 sim goes in exactly opposite of normal ones
Hi there,
This is my first post in XDA. I bought a used Verizon Z2 tablet and was very excited about using it, until I figured out that the tablet is missing the Sim Tray to activate it with Verizon. From then I have been researching online to find a spare sim tray.
1) Does the Z2 support Micro Sim or Nano?
2) I am not able to find a spare nano sim tray online, Can anyone help me to find a link where I can buy it?
3) If one of the forum members are using the tablet just for Wifi, Can you lend me your sim tray, I will be really thankful for your Help.
Thanks for any help in Advance. U guys really ROCK :cyclops:

I suspect this would work but I can't say for 100% sure. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SIM-Holder-...123?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25941e372b
I already tried a similar one from ebay. It didn't even fit in the slot that my tablet has. Thanks for your help though
Can anyone atleast attach a picture of their sim tray on this post. It will really help me identifying next time if I come across one.
