Can anyone advise how to monitor the GPRS traffic when connecting a PC via USB cable using the Wireless Modem application in the WM2003 (SE)?
I have tried with Spb GPRS Monitor with USB connection monitoring but unable to.

Could be stupid but..
Is it possible that we can make internet sharing from the ppc ?
What I mean if some1 has wap or gprs can he shares internet through the Bluetooth or Infrared so that the other pocket pc gets the internet access from it?

I have wireless modem and I checked it settings. I'm able to connect over BT,infrared and Serial.
Can you explain the steps to be done from other Pocket pc to connect to the 1rst one??

I have downloaded and install quite number of applications(eg: weather panel,weather watcher and etc) but it always prompts me internet connection not established, even through my phone dopod818pro conncected through USB to my pc and i can surf internet through my pc on my phone. Any ideas from any experts??

The answer is the connection setting.
You should customize the connection setting and if you used proxy, please also correct the proxy setting.
Usually the setting use My work network for both, internet and local network, and also disable any bluetooth explorer.
I use also dopod 818pro and no problem with weather setting

can Hero get on internet through a PC/Laptop with a usb cable?
I know wm allows you to do so.
I used to enjoy that function when i used a wm device because I do not have wifi in both home and office. And I have only a limited data plan.
Help/answer appreciated.

I think the OP wants something that works the other way - i.e. the phone connects to the internet via the PCs network connection.

Thanks skauk, but Dave is right. I want the other way round.
PC/Laptop connecting to internet via my Hero (mobile network sharing) can be done without any software i believe.
But in fact I want the phone to go to internet via PC/Laptop as I only have limited data plan.
Help is appreciated.

I don't think you can do this via a USB cable.
What does work is: Get a wireless access point and have your desktop share its internet connection over wlan. Better usability than a plugged in USB cable, too

I am using connectify to share the internet connection of PC to my phone through wifi. It is free and you can download it and try! I am happy with the above said software as i am flashy. whenever i flash new ROM and sync with internet of PC through connectify and all my data is back in just couple of minutes.
Through USB cable......I still dont know the solution!

What you are looking for is called Tethering.
You can enable and configure it on your phone in
menu => Settings => Wireless and Network => Tethering and Mobile Hotspot =>
a) USB Tethering, if you want to be connected via USB to your PC, or
b) Configure mobile WLAN hotspot, if you want to connect your PC via WLAN with your phone.
There is also a short help in this settings menu.

So, it is tethering the other way round.
My idea: install and configure a WLAN hotspot on your PC.
I do not know any solution to get it done by using USB cable.

i have a Samsung galaxy R with stock 2.3.5 & i was wondering if there is any app / setting that let's u share your PC's broadband connection with android phone via USB cable . the thing is, i have a wired ADSL router at my place (Non-WiFi) so i just simply want to explore my options before i just go ahead & buy the WiFi router. i tried goggling that same but it seems there is no straight forward app that let u do so in Samsung phone, my bro is having HTC explorer & it has option called "Internet pass through" which let u do exactly what i need. any help is highly appreciated

thx for the reply... but that's exactly opposite of wht i want, i dnt have connection on my phone to share with my Pc but vice versa (i have broadband connection on my pc to share with my phone WITHOUT WiFi router, via USB or bluetooth)
