I bought my XDA II from England and right now I 'm in Thailand.
So many XDA II user in Thailand said radio 1.12 has better signal than 1.18 (I upgraded to WSE 2.06 + 1.18 Radio).Then now,I'm looking for 1.12 radio.Please tell me the link to download or mail to me at "[email protected]"

hello...
i was just on the phone to a o2 rep and i asked if there was any plans to let XDA users have an upgrade to ppc 2003 through the o2 website...
He said their were plans, however he wasn't totally sure of details...
any one else know? dates? price? etc...

This only say O2 Asia is not going to release a update. Maybe UK, GErmany or Netherlands will do it....

...doubt it. O2 will probably use PPC 2003 as part of the 'selling' packaged used to shift the newer XDA ][ :roll:

I still can't decide if its worth the risk of putting WM2003 on my XDA or not :?
I don't think they will put that effort in the 'old' XDA. As we all read allong these forums there are to many problems stabilizing 2003 for the XDA. Toooooo much of a hassle customerwise.
Although I am very satisfied with 4.00.10 Works like a charm for me. :lol:
Although the mistery of the write-protected T-Mobile Extended Rom still has NOT been solved :-( , could someone out there please still be so kind as to mail me the complete Asian O2 XDA II Extended Rom contents (zipped approx. 5Mb), so that when the mistery does get solved, I can put back my O2 XDAII back in (almost) original state?
(Please, the ASIAN O2 XDA II Extended rom, not the UK one ...)

wow you all do some really great work! I've been reading all the fixes for country ID etc.,... mucho respect to everyone for the research involved in getting the upgrades working.
I have an O2 XDA II uk. The SMS bug is really annoying me and since O2 haven't come out with a new rom yet, I'm tempted to try one of the others.
I guess there's tmobile 1.60? imate... and now a new qtek one as well?
What's the most recent/best rom to go for? Ideally I'd like to KEEP the gprs ALWAYS ON even when turned off/suspend... I believe the tmobile one changes this to disconnect *yuck*.
Any advice welcome.. ps. do we think we've learned enough so that I'll be able to apply an o2 official upgrade over the top of a qtek/tmobile etc? It looks like with the info on changing the ID of the files we have?

I just got a NEW o2 xda orbit from ebay, with WM5. Ive got this ROM updater, but im not sure if it will have the o2 branded stuff.
