ASUS P750 XT9 files for Windows Mobile 6.1 PRO ROM for HTC StrTrk from pArtizAn

Hi
I ripped some xt9 files from an original ASUS P750 ROM to use it with my HTC StrTrk aka Dopod S300 aka Qtek 8500 aka... because the ASUS P750 has the right key mapping.
I got it working and just tried to make a cab file for easy install. But now i am running into great problems. I reflashed the ROm to try a clean install of the cab and there is somthing wrong. I only tried it with the german files:
Code:
1. dehpd.kdb
2. DElsUN_xt9.ldb
This files are copied to windows directory of the phone. Then i used a registry editor to set the following key/values:
Code:
Key: HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9
String: Available Language
Value: 0107,0109,0119
Key: HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\IME\KDbFiles
String: 0607
Value: dehpd.kdb
Key: HKLM\Software\tegic\eT9\LdbFiles
String: 0107
Value: DElsUN_xt9.ldb
For one time it seems top be work but with the clean flashed rom it won't work. Did i forgot to copy some files or forgot som registry entries???
Could anyone help???
The ripped files are available here:

Help finding "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE..."! (8525 WM5)

I'm so sorry if this is a newb question, but when I use Total Commander to go into the root directory I find:
\\Plugins
Under which I find:
ftp
LAN
Registry
Under Registry I find
HKCR
HKCU
HKLM
i can't seem to find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE... anywhere...hoping I'm just looking in the wrong place. The change I'm trying to make is to turn off the SMS Sent message...drives me crazy. I was able to turn off the ATT splash animation with TC and that was a Godsend.
Your help is appreciated.
Hklm = Hkey_local_machine
Thanks...I did figure that out DOH! Now the instructions are telling me to drill down to the folder "Inbox" which I have. I am supposed to "Edit", then "Add Key". I used the File, Edit at the bottom of the screen but it did not give me the option to add a key.
I know I'm close...thanks for the handholding.
Steve
Are you using a registry explorer?

how do I go registry?

Its a stupid question I know... :S
Download a registry editor such as Total Commander or PHM Registry editor and navigate to the drictory you need and change the values there.

Click to collapse
So for example, how do I go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ ?
I really cant find it...
with the registry editor you will find it.
I recomend the resco version, that comes with resco explorer, but its not free.
Most of the time I use Total Commander for the registry. You can download it here.
When installed open total commander and go to:
plugins => registry
then you see:
- HKCR (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT),
- HKCU (HKEY_CURRENT_USER),
- HKLM (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE).
I use the SK TOOLS'S registry editor, is very quick
maybe it's just me, but i think that with your knowledge as it is right now you shouldn't be playing with registry settings...
