ROM Version - 2.02.t1WWE
ROM date - 05/17/04
Radio Version - 1.18.00
Protocol Version - 1337.38
ExtROM version - 1.60.50
is there anything i can upgrade ? please give me the link to tht upgrade.
i have WMP 9 series and where can i get 10 series ?
in my today screen some items like my battery meter, bluetooth headset profile, the icons keep on disappearing n re-appearing
any suggestions to help from all the you geniuses filled up on the most extensive site dedicated to the most awesome machines ever built. !!

how about adding some honey n sugar to ur xda2?it will definately b sweet...
the benefits are that it will b sweet like wat u wanted n will attract ants also...
which ROM is best for XDA2
before you do anything to upgrade your XDA2, you need to think anout your satisfaction with your XDA2 now.
If your device work well, you won't need to do anything.
because of ROM upgrade is risky your device please think before do anything.
In my suggestion, the best ROM is T-mobile 1.72. you can search in this forum to find topic about T-mobile 1.72.

What about if you use 1.66.00 WWE and the damn thing crashes all the time? any reccommendations? A few people have been raving about the imate 1.72
My IMate 1.72 ROM is running okay. A few little problems, but nothing that a soft reset didn't cure.
I'm on the T-Mobile ROM...

... with a customized ExtRom.
i-mate ROM 1.72 doesn't work with my GPS Software (Intellinav - Belkin Navigation System)... and it also has bad Cleartype. I-mate ROM 1.66 also has the Cleartype problem, and one of the cleartype fixes some one posted here gave me a hard reset. I-mate ROM 1.52 doesn't have the integrated applications as services advantage so there are less processes available on that ROM, which means you won't be able to run as many applications at once.
Personally, I think I'm going to stick to ROM 1.60 until some Second Edition ROMs start showing up.
Anyone got a 1.60 ROM that I can get? I found that much better than the 1.72 that I upgraded to, but I deleted it..
im on imate 1.72 never had a sd erase nor hard reset have to softreset every few days thats all works great with tomtom3 and BT gps

ok i am verry happy with it thank's to the person who posted it.
but am having a small problem with the today's screen.
some icons just won't show sometimes.
like the blue tooth, theme switch and a few other's.
so i would be really greatfull if someone can help me.
is there any cab file to sort out this problem.
if yes please can someone post it here.

today's screen & BT & also some profile on Today screen
sometime show & sometime not , it happent o 2.02ti & 2.06 also
but not happen to the CHS Chinese ROM 2.20.07CHS
Think just need to wait someone to post new version of Eng ROM other then 2.02 & 2.06

I am showing no extended rom after upgrading to 2003se all my o2 software has disappeared and I have no camera software anymore. Did I do something wrong? How do you work with the HIMA_WM_2K3_EXTROM.RAR file and OperatorUpdate.bat file. I must be so new to this. Please somebody help I've spent hours on the forum, I just want my phone to be updated properly. Thanks
I suggest you read the thread on upgrading better. A lot of upgrade 'packages' do not contain an extROM because a lot of us just what to customise it anyway.
A cmplete package consists of 3 nbf files:
nk.nbf - the os
Radio.nbf - the radio rom
ms_.nbf - the extended rom

I am a little green when it comes to extended rom.
I have referenced the page you suggested but how would I alter this to work with O2?
Also my bluetooth microphone doesn't work but the speaker does.
Is this also symptomatic of having no Ext ROM?

What is bluethoot radio for?
are you asking what the radio stack is for or what bluetooth radio stack is for ?
if the former then it's the embedded software which make the gsm phone part of the himalaya device run
if the later it's the software which control the bluetooth wireless comm which is used for activesync and headsets and gps and such

from my experience this rom is good not taking so mutch juce from the battery but have only one big problem is the fly mode
the radio can not be on if you switched off ( i am tolking on the w5)

you have to perfom a real ROM update with HimaUpgrade Tool which can be found in the different here avaiable Roms. Just delete nb.nbf and ms.nbf (which are System and extRom), copy your new Radio-Rom to the Upgradefolder and start Upgrade; this way only the Radio Rom is being updated.
For safety reasons first watch the instructions for making a Backup and how to make ROM Update !

btw. I tried 1.19 too ... got the mentioned problem with FlightMode .. once activated no chance to deactivate, that means no phone .. so I downgraded to 1.17 ..

hay friends it's not working fine as well as call comes with disturbance.
& flight mode ( airplane mode ) also not working u have to reset.
