Are XDAII accessories compatible with XDAIIi? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hi
I'm about to sell my xdaII to buy an xdaIIi
Is the connector the same?
I want to be able to use my spare cradle, rechargers, car kit etc.
Any advice on this would be appreciated,
Thanks
Conor

The cradle is identical. I bought an XDAIIi a couple of weeks ago, and am still using the XDA 2 cradle.
Even the batteries are exactly the same size, although the XDA2i one has 100 mAH more. Probably interchangeable, but I haven't tried it.

Excellent!
That's good news then!
Thanks a million!

everything is the same, even the backpak,(with the driver) the batey is also fine, OK 100 M/A less power, but any battery meter program works and gives the corect remainding times

Holux Powered Cradle & GPS receiver for sale

Hello all,
After upgrading to the o2 XDA exec, my much loved Holux Powered cradle and GPS receiver is now redundant
So one of you lucky peeps has the opportunity to buy it off me at a knock down price
I used it with my xda2s - I do NOT know if it works with other xda's.
Here is a link about it:
http://www.totalgps.com/Holux-Powered-GPS-PDA-Mount-for-XDA-Series-I-Mate-Q-Tec-2020.aspx
It powers your xda2s, and is a powered GPS receiver all in one. No more cables all over the place! It's offical name is Holux CR-100.
It's RRP is £90 +p&p.....I would be looking for at least half that. And I believe it is now discontinued (at least it is from totalgps.com).
It is in perfect condition, still with the box and all bits and docs.
HOWEVER!!!!! I had it hard wired to my car.......SO, either hard wire it to yours, or re-attach the cigarette bit, which I still have.
Payment via paypal please......first come first served....
Any questions I'll be happy to answer.
Cheers
HPJ

Got a cradle!

I got my K-Jam cradle today. It's the same one that Boxwave are selling. Mine came from gpsforless.co.uk and arrived two days after ordering.
It's a little to upright for my liking and has got a largish footprint but otherwise it's fine. No psu included but I think it will work with a powere
usb hub.
Is it this one? http://www.gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2796
I'm about to design my own, and see if a local plexiglass worker can make it

Can you design it with a spare battery charging slot?
I'll pay a premium for that.
It's hard to believe that no after market designer has released one for the wizard yet. You can pretty much find spare battery charging cradles for any other model.
§tatic
No, I can't %)
It's one thing to design a basic shape of the older, the placement of a mini USB plugin slot, add a little 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female jack - it's another entirely to add a charging circuit - I wouldn't even know where to begin with that :>
I do agree that I wish somebody would come out with one - but I'm not sure it'll happen. Typically the market for these kinds of accessories is saturated within 2 months of delivery of the device - after that, the accessories need to be in a state of 'mass production', and the designers need to get in gear for design of accessories for the next generation of devices.
I saw the expansys homepage have both normal craddles like that from gpsforless and also "liedown" cradleswhere you can use keyboard while charging. However, havent seen any craddle with faster charging (extra power).
Cradle for charging spare battery
Hi
Anyone found a 'Wizzard' Cradle for charging spare battery yet?, then please link to store
I'd recommened against getting the cradle from GPSforless. I had to return mine because windows saw my Wizard as an unrecognized USB device. They gave me a full refund, but just a note incase you're thinking of getting one.
Try this one.

Speaking of cradles...
Anyone check out the music dock yet?
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/9070.htm
I'm looking to order one but I need some reviews. They don't sell them in the states as you see it's got British pound prices all over it. The manufacturer: Brando is in Hong Kong, and their site looks rather sketchy...

Someone give me a heads up.
I bought the one from Brando a month ago, its really good.
I had no problem ordering from Sweden, delivery was maybe a week after order.
I can reccomend it.

I brought this a few weeks ago. I cant recommend it. Sound quality is awful. It buzes when recharging & there is only an option of USB or main recharging - I was rather hoping to keep it pugged into mains and PC so it would stay charged when PC is off.
Cradle
Hi all anyone found the cradle with spare battery charger yet?
I really would like one.

Desktop Cradle

I had been looking for a simple desktop cradle for a while and read reports on badly fitting ones and others that were good but expensive, and hrizontal ones that I didn't like, but I finally found a new one that suits my needs perfectly and is very inexppensive.
I found it a Techmate Australia http://www.techmate.com.au/ only $35.au, good quality, mini USB for power in (no adapter supplied), tethered USB cable for sync, fits nicely and is easy to drop in and out.
Made by JMB accessoreis.
Dear esseff,
Could you provide me a link to a horizontal desktop cradle (as I understand you found it at Internet).
I really like horizontal cradle but I cannot find no one like this for Hermes (only for Wizard).

here's one on ebay
Cheep desktop "cradle"
I've been using a very inexpensive desktop cradle ever since I got my 8525.
It's a $.99 tripod from Microcenter. The little rubber feet hold the lower edge of the phone and the angle is good.
I've attached a few pictures.
I got this idea from http://www.aximsite.com when I had my Dell Axim x50v.
Thanks a lot for the report Esseff, I've just bought one - good to have a first hand opinion, especially from a fellow Aussie .

Here is an Australian link
http://www.mrgadget.com.au/catalog/...dopod-838-pro-desk-cradle-charger-p-2136.html
... but I have seen the same one at other o/s sites
Can't wait till mine arrives - its the only thing that I've hated about this device, not having a proper cradle.
Please forgive my ignorance on the the model issue.
Will the Cingular 8525 (Hermes 100) work with this dock?
Thank you
Is there one available that will charge a spare battery as well?

I bought this same cradle from ebay for under 20USD and shipped from hong kong, and this thing WAS a piece of junk, it fit my phone well, but after a few uses the usb plug started falling into the cradle and it was no longer making a connection. I cracked the case only to find it being held in place by glue... I found that the ground connection wasnt very good, so i re-soldered the ground, put the plug back in place, and used massive amounts of hot glue to hold this thing in place. After doing that this thing now works like a charm. I would suggest to anyone that purchases this thing to immediately crack open the case and dump alot of hot glue inside to keep this from happening!
OOOOHHHH MYYYYYY GAAAAAWWWWDDDDD
I just received my cradle from MobilePlanet.
IT IS FRACKIN AWESOME PEOPLE. Did you hear me. I SAID FRACKIN AWESOME! (Yes I watch Farscape what of it?)
$39.00 USD. Had to wait for a while 2 to 3 weeks...... BUT (there's always a big BUTT but this one is GOOHHHDDDDD!)
This CRADLE KICKS SERIOUS ARSE! ARSE! ARSE I TELL YA! it charges AND syncs the device AND.........
the second battery from the USB. It also has a power cord port.
But if you are a road warrior and I'm about to go back out on the road again...fly out Monday return fly in on Thursday - and you have an extra battery you'll need this cradle. It also fits the funky honkin 2400 batteries. (I assume that is what the extra cut out space is for though I sport a 1500 and an OEM so I can't say for sure.)
Fits my device like a glove. Looks sharp. Feels good. WELL MADE.
IT IS SWEET AS HAYLE! Run don't walk. Are you runnin yet! (It is worth the wait. Did I mention that?)
I wanna buy another just in case I loose this one. or to have one down stairs and one in the office. Maybe I'll buy 2 more to have one in the briefcase, one down stairs and one in the office.
Yes that's it. I'm going to the site to get mine before ya'll gobble them up.

Here you go. I already placed my order for 2 more. I think I'm gonna stick with the Hermes for a while...at least the next 6 to 8 months.

Amazing, I finally found out this was available a few days ago then I read this thread...well, as soon as someone picks up the cradle and battery for that horrible 750v I tried to use then I'll order this cradle. I don't really see the point in getting the ones that don't charge an extra battery though...isn't that the whole point?

But some only charge the device extra battery when you use the wall charger. If you use USB then it only charges the device.
The MobilePlanet one charges both the device and extra battery on USB as well as the wall charger. That is what makes it worth the cost alone...not to mention the thing is pretty well made.
Anyone in the UK managed to find a decent, reasonably priced cradle?
I've seen quite a few but these have a USB plug only, so if you want to charge the handset, you need the PC to be on.
What I'm after is a charger with a USB connection and a mains connection so you can charge the Hermes without the PC being on.
Hermes Cradle
Have you seen this one? It has an extra battery charger and both USB/mains connections.

o2 XDA charger

Great site with tonnes of info, anyway. I picked up a wallaby recently for very little $, i coulnt find the charger for it. Ive seen a pinout on this site to make a usb conection which is wonderful. But i was wondering if anyone had any info on other phone chargers that would work with the wallaby?? It seems that getting a proper charger in Australia isnt as easy as i'd hoped.
Yay, answered my own question, got a car charger and this wallaby works, For $5 im not complaing, time to look and see what to get software wise, awesome device!

OEM HTC Desktop Cradle

I note the thread below for the cradle for Tmob TP2 but was wondering if anyone has bought/tried/tested the official HTC desktop cradle and its options (outputs etc)
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=179339
Its about £34 in the UK and I'm just weighing up whether its worth the cost.
Many thanks
Andy
I took a hacksaw & a Dremmel to my Diamond cradle.
It might look a bit ropey when the phone isn't in it but I'm not there then!
When I am there the phone is init and it looks fine
Have my TP2 in the post and have ordered one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Desktop-Syn...UTF8&coliid=I31X9GZN1VRZW6&colid=9MBV0NZ7B0IZ
Looks similar to the one my Kaiser's sat in at the mo so should be ok.

I bought the OEM Cradle about a month ago, its much bigger than I expected and attacts dust worse than my PS3 but it looks great.
I've got the TV out plugged in as well as the AC charger and it works fine
Only downside I've found is that if you have any case on your phone it wont fit in the holder. Bought a silcone case after I dropped it and scrached the chome, now I have to take the case off everytime I want to charge
I've been trying to find an HTC Made one specifically with the combination USB *and* battery charger slot as were available for the HTC 6700/Mogul [part # CRU 6800) ie not one of the cheapies after market with pretty shoddy battery fit..
Can't tell from the photo if the CRG 300 is that, or simply a USB charger cradle without the battery charger slot ?
http://www.windowsmobilenow.com/us/p_wm_acc1.aspx?i=179445&partner=wmusfroogle
Any ideas/suggestions ? I bought my girlfriend one of the aftermarket versions for her ATT Tilt and it's been horrible.
