WM2005 upgrade
Many thanks. I would have never figured it out myself
emm...
a couple of months ago, one of my friend who work for MS try to send me a test version WM2005 for xda2, CHS version
that was a 128MB .BIN file I don't know how to use it so I did not download it.
I am not sure it is worth to try this test version.
Link not working
Can some please upload the file here so taht we can work with it. It seems that the link is no longer working.
Hi
Whatever you guys want to do in terms of downloading WM2005 betas is up to you, you understand the risks and also the fact, I'm sure, that it's illegal to host such files without MS permission.
It's probably bad enough posting links to hosting addresses on this forum, but someone UPLOADING the files to THIS ftp site would, frankly, be stupid. That's a sure fire way to guarantee that MS shut XDA-Developers down.

www.biddle.biz/himalaya
not working
here is the link to download WM 2005:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18584&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=50
and cliock at :
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/ or
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Himalaya2005/
Can't wait for this place to be shut down then....
I promise that I've read the wiki page and searched for this, but I can't figure out which files in the FTP to download to follow the very well-written directions on upgrading my I-mate to WM2005.
I found EREdit, and the patch, and I think I found the actual upgrade (himalayaupgradeUT...) but I can't locate the NK.bfn that I need.
Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks so much to everybody who's put all the work into this.
himalaya2005/OS_ROM/

Click to collapse
quite right, this would be useful...
Thanks for the input guys, but I must have not been clear.... I need "nk.nbf" as it is addressed in XDAjojo's magneto upgrade page. Can you help me get from the *.rar file you recommended to the file I need to upgrade via the xdajojo tutorial?
Thanks very very much!
loegel you must move on from that
the tutorial is ok but the patch its no longer needed
download the rar in ftp G or H and extract te files there is inside ht nbk you are looking for no need to patch
then open it with eromedit and chanhe if it to your settings (originaly they are
o2 www) save and flash
thats it
it will keep your corrent version of radio and extrom
rar files are like zip you unpack them using winrar or winace
Is there an update for the Camera to make all the images go into a specific folder such as 'My Pictures' instead of creating a new folder everytime. I know the XDAII and XDAIIs has this ability to put into a specific folder but the XDAIIi does not.
Can anyone help with this????
Camera Version is 2.70 (Build 18387)
yes I agree - it would be very useful !
Someone......please?
Hi peeps, someone has got to know how to sort this out? please please please help
Hi,
Please can somebody help. i did an Upgrade on my XDA II from the O2 website, and now i cannot use the camera, i am guessing i will need a driver, therefore please can someone point me to somewhere that will have the driver?
Thanks
it's inside the extented rom
get a extented rom from the
ftp or get somebody with the same
device as you to open their extented rom
and copy the cab for you
or you can try to search the forum for it
Hello Again,
I have searched around for a driver for the Camera, however i cannot find any info on this, and i do not know anyone with the same phone, Is there any chance somebody can attach the CAB file or point me in the right direction?
Thanks
You can have a look here: ftp://Himalaya/Extended_ROM/O2_Asia_Himalaya_1.66.65_ExtROM . You will find a camera CAB there.
Sorry but the link you have given doesnt work. Should it be going to an FTP Site?
Please can you give me the link again?
Thanks
i can help you if you tell me how to search the driver on my pda. the name? .cab
you unlock and unhide the extented rom first the cab is in there
Sorry left out the important part. You need to login to the ftp.xda-developers.com FTP site and that go to Himalaya/Extended_ROM/O2_Asia_...1.66.65_ExtROM.
hi experts...i'm new here..and i am ver interested in upgrading my atom's wm5 to wm6 but i don't know how, what are the software needed and what are the do's and don'ts in upgrading...please teach me how...please
There are plenty of forums that tell you about upgrading including wiki. When ypu download the rom, you may need something like WinRaR to unpack the file, however not all are packed. Some are self extracting files that install straight onto your device.
And also ensure you have Activesync on your computer
I hope this helps
Use this guide: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=ATOM_DSUU
I will help you this time and suggest you should search through the forum before asking any question.
