Anyone got following devices working with the pre-release of WM2005 :
TomTom3 ?
Sandisk Wificard ?
MSN (not pre-installed but when you install seperately) ?
Bluetooth earphone?
Any other major problems?

Well, just installed latest version of 2005, with the RAM fix and installed the Sandisk Wifi SD without much problems.... just install and be patient..
TomTom does not work.... Argh?#$! :evil:

WM2003SE why change to WM2005 test version,its working fine
I`m staying with WM2003SE it`s working fine, don`t have to have the newest stuff that is not fully working, good luck with your crashing beta versions
I think people just want to see a new interface,but then realise that you lose the essential, and you have a half working windows. Leave the 2005 and wait for the full versions guys :mrgreen:

I couldn't agree more - there's a REALLY good 2003 SE ROM on here and i much prefer it. I've got screen rotation which was the only thing that impressed me coming from 2003->2005..

Ok here's my Problem,
I upgraded My SX56 from PPC 2002 to WM2003, not minding the changes at first, and liking some of them, untill I got home from work that night and tried to reload the driver for my folding Keyboard, and the AOL Instant messanger 2.0. It was then that I found that WM2003 did not support these. Does anyone know of a program that would make these as well as other 2002 apps compatible with WM2003?
I gave up and went into an AT&T store and used a display SX56 to write the Original ROM to my MMC card and then uploaded it back to my SX56. So now I'm back at square one again and I'd like to be on WM2003, but I can't sacrifice my apps to do so. :evil: Can anyone advise? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

i might have a answer for your Aim problem as i use a ipaq 38250 too with WM 2003 in addition to the SX-56. i found that installing www.aol.co.uk did the trick for me
Isn't this the same aim 2.0 that I have? I think it is, and it won't reinstall after the upgrade to WM2003.

Where did you get your WM2003 upgrade? I got mine at My Siemens.com I wonder if you have a different version because when I try to install it using activesync it says it will only install when a compatible device is connected?
hmmm i used that upgrade too plus cooked roms and it worked fiune for me.
well thank you for you're info, maybe if I can get some info on the keyboard driver, i will upgrade to wm2003 again and try out that aim version. I appreciate your help man.

Oh hey, what version of active snyc are you using, I'm using the one the SX56 came with, maybe that's the problem? Or the windows version you're running on you're pc, Im on XP?
dunno, it works for me i even copied it over from the IPAQ without sintalling it and i get on just fine
The keyboard driver available in the kitchen works well for me, you must remember though that it initialises com1 automatically and needs to be disabled before using serial gps, this resets to active also after every soft reset.

I installed some of the items on this page, NOT a complete flashing just installing the new HTC Home, new dialler etc.
Works like a charm, the new UI is really great, no problems on my hermes. Now my phone is much more finger-friendly. And a great mp3-player as well.
BTW I am running Black Dymond 3.5, in other words mobile 6.

I've tried to use Igo8 on PDAVIET 4.0.0.6 but it's unusable on that ROM. Then I installed Igo MyWay 2006 Plus but it's almost unusable too (very slow on calculating routes and often gives "Memory Full" message).
After that I've reinstalled the WM5 Stock ROM 2.20.7.37 (I think) and Igo MyWay 2006 Plus works fine. But in WM5 the phone volume is very low ....
PDAVIET has 8 MB page pool. The rest of the ROM features are OK (I was satisfied ... the only thing not working: Igo)
I have all the S4V Rom`s von Claudyfa tested. When I use IGO8 I dissable the today plugins and then I have free Ca. 25 MB. That`s enough for IGO8 and it works by me.

Made a change of the page pool size of the PDAVIET 4.0.0.6 ROM (from 8MB to 6MB) and now Igo MyWay 2006 Plus works even with the HTC Home plugin on.

The TomTom 5.2 runs on my HTC S740 but i can not enable the GPS
Receiver,
only Bluetooth Receiver are selectable...not the build in GPS Receiver.

You might need to try the Microsoft GPS Intermediary Driver configuration.

Are you sure it doesn't work on the S740? So you installed it and tried it?
Try posting on the Modaco thread I posted if you don't get much response here. I think it should work on the S740.
In short, without this utility installed and working there's no other way for TomTom to know about the internal GPS. This utility is supposed to help TomTom connect to the internal GPS.
Someone gave it a try, see post, and it didn't work.
Any news on making TT5.2 detect the internal GPS?

I only got the phone yesterday , So it is still standard .I run the quickgps app , then installed TT , and used My Mobiler to set the TomTom settings as you need a touoch screen to change the settings .

Werner, you probably aren't using TT 5.2, cuz for that one you don't need a touch screen (the Rose hasn't).
But Schiefersoft, you can use the newer TTN versions (6 or even 7) also on your Rose, in addition you need an application that puts a cursor on your non touchscreen that you can use to point. Google FakeCursor here or on the net and give it a try.
Big advantage is you can use the newer version 6 or 7 maps.
On my very old non touchscreen HTC StarTrek (aka Smartflip) i used TTN7 with FakeCursor.
Use the Garmin XT 5.0 Instead !!
Works for the Windows Smartphone and PPC !!
Works Like a Charm on the HTC Rose...
Other GPS Software is Route 66 version 8 or the IGO Version 8.
This should also work fine on the Htc Rose.

At least in the german version I got some reports, that office mobile is not working correctly with 3.14.
There are some problems with saving in Excel and setting the view.
I noticed that I'm not able to mark eMails anymore for further notice in Outlook.
Is anyone knowing anything about this? I'm using Artemis which seems to have the same problems like the original Stock Rom.

I've also read in other forums, that this is not even a problem of Office Mobile 2010, it's also a problem with 2007 version. But the older version at least will save the changes which you had made when you closing the sheet (the 2010 version are also able to save, but you need open the menu and select save manually). In both version you are not able to change the view.
It seems, that this effect appeared in all german roms for T-Mob, Vodafone, O2 and possible also in other german roms. Yeah, wait and see...at the moment I've not heard about any solution.....or switch back to 1.66/1.72 ROM.....

Did you use a german ROM ?
Because I've heard (and meantime seen by friends), that is mostly a problem of the german ROMs.
No problems to report here. Using the O2 UK 3.14 ROM and updated to Office 2010 via Marketplace before launching.
