Replacement for Multi IE in WM2005? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

This is something I use a lot. He plans to update it, but no timeframe yet. Anything else that can give me tabbed browsing in WM 2005?

maybe the beta of firefox for pocketpc also works under 2005 try checking

It's still just "coming soon," at least on the Firefox site. Is there another source for a pre-pre-release version?

That's because it doesn't exist. It's still under innitial stages of development.
Don't go spreading rumors, alphaandomega!
There are a lot of people feverishly hoping that Opera will make a version of their browser for the Windows Mobile environment.
Opera is developing a version for the smartphone, yes, but not for the Phone Edition, sadly..

Office 2007 Mobile for WM6...

Anyone try out the latest Office 2007 Mobile for WM6 on their Athena yet?
I read this has updates to Office so it supports the latest file formats and adds OneNote to the suite. Let me know if you've installed this and if you've had any problems.

running it now, onenote doesn't always close properly. But then neither did the word version included in the leaked wm6 rom.

Hotmail and WM 6.1

I'm having an issure with Hotmail after I installed NexVision lastest ROM which is based on WM 6.1. I'm thinking that the Hotmail issue may be something that changed in WM 6.1, but maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
Rather than letting me setup Hotmail to be checked and downloaded to the phone, like it has been setup in the past. Now when I try to use the e-mail setup utility it tells me to goto http://windowsmobile.com/emailsetup/live is there a way to get it setup like it was in WM 6.0 I don't want to have to use a web based version. I tried searching on this, but came up short. If it's been brought up I'm sorry. I'm sure it's a quick fix, I'm just clueless. Thanks...

Install Windows Live and just sign in and it will set up all your mail in the messaging area
Thanks. That was all I needed. I knew it was something simple and stupid. I noticed Windows Live was missing, I just didn't know the app had anything to do with the e-mail being pushed to the phone.
In case anyone is looking for the Windows Live app here is a Link (this was copied from DCD's thread, just thought it would be good to add here.)

Hermes equivalent Firefox

I did a search and found no thread on this.
I am looking for a Hermes portable Firefox browser. I miss the tab function when browsing with the standard IE. Any ideas.
Hi there!
As far as I know, there is no mobile Firefox browser. However, for tabbed browsing you could try SPB Pocket Plus with IE. There is also a mobile version of Opera, which I enjoy very much: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401643
Best

That project is old and discontinued. Check out Mozilla's latest efforts here:

regarding MiniMo - agreed... you'll hate it... I also tried BlueFish from Micro$oft - even suckier. Looking forward to trying skyfire... Unfortunately, for the moment, Opera is your best option...
I hated it.
I didn't see you post, so I went ahead and installed it.
Its slooooow, hangs, bad graphics (splashed all over).
I will remove it today.

This seems like a work in progress, maybe by August there will be something usable.
Thanks
I have both Opera Mini and Mobile versions currently installed on my Hermes. I personally find Mini to be significantly quicker (loading/page rendering, etc).
Sorry...
Yeah, I installed it again... Yeah it sucks. Well, there is always something else on the horizon for us to try.
This minimo guy refuses to be removed any heads up on that.

why MS Voice Commander doesn't work for WM6.5 ?
MS VC works fine for me in 6.5 but after reading the tellme website it looks much more integrated and I'll be interested in checking it out whenver its released..
Located in Mountain View, Calif., Tellme is a Microsoft Corp. subsidiary.

Funny how a MS product is available on Blackberry OS before their own Mobile OS.
Good stuff.
The Voice command stuff never really worked very well. My Fuze is already frustrating enough to operate without it trying to decipher my voice. I'd almost rather have a Google Maps one anyway. Windows Live Search allowed spoken commands but I don't think it was as interconnected as this TellMe app.

Ya I thought that too but to be fair, MS acquired the company while they were already pretty far in development for just the BB app.
Windows Live Search (now called Bing) just allowed you to search for places around you. This allows you to search for anything, scores, stocks, etc. I'm most interested in the SMS dictation though. A lot of my friends and I communicate via txt so you can imagine, having a touch screen phone, being able to dictate a response when I'm driving would be very handy.
sorry for the strong bump...
but anybody have any luck finding a version of microsoft tellme?
the youtube videos are sooooo enticing.
MS Voice Command missing
I flashed a 2PC 6.5 ROM for Kaiser and cannot find voice command. I use it to make calls while driving. I found a cab for a Rhodium ROM and installed it. Does not work, gives message "may not work correctly; made for an earlier version of windows". Is VC buried in the 6.5 windows files somewhere?
It's not unless the cook put it in, duttythroy has it ask him for it
