Hi there i just updated my XDA2 with the 02 version of w2k5 and when i get a txt msg the screen does not light up at it did on the 2003 and suggestion on hpo wi can get the screen to light/phone to go on automatically,If this is a problem on the OS then please let me know thanks
It's not supposed to light up, but it still makes the sound, and flashed the LED.
This is because many people will get a message while it's in their pocket, and having the screen come on isn't the best of things in that situation.
Start/settings/notifications & sounds/notifications/New text messageisplay message on screen,this will light up your display.

Need a Notification Tweak for DCD ROM 3.12...
I am very happy to find that the ROM 3.12 makes the led on my VZW-6800 flash amber when I get a new text or missed call. Normal operation it is flashing green at all times. Beforehand I was going to post will this work on our PDA model:

Well I have enough of what I need from the led change with the ROM so part of that above is not needed. However there is one function I do miss that Kaiser Notifications tweak provides which all cell phones do...
If a called is missed, text received but not answered/reviewed, etc. etc. it will continue to beep similar to what a cell phone does and slowly expand beeping time out, for example beeps in 5 min, then beep in 10, then 30, 45, 60 then stop. This is so helpful because my PDA my be on my desk out of sight and I miss the initial call/text when it first arrived.
Is there a tweak for the HTC Mogul that can beep and continue to beep a notification in intervals after a missed call, text, message, etc.????

i may be mistaken, but i believe it flashes indefinitely, until maybe a soft reset or something. i have the LED Killer cab from stroths that turns off that annoying green LED connection flashing (but no other LEDs, which is great), so the orange flashing is more noticeable. your device should flash orange every 4-5 seconds until you acknowledge the missed call or text. also, S2U2 notifies you of a missed call or text.

Now, I still need an tweak to the original question is there a way to make the phone beep in intervals when I miss a call, text, etc....???

My first post so please understand my mistakes
I was a happy owner of a S740 for a month now, until today when I found it 'not booting'. What happens is I switch it on and It stays on the 'orange screen' with R G D numbers at the bottom.
I tried reseting (vol-up while power up) but when it goes to three colour screen it briefly shows 'no image file!'
does it mean that I need to upload a new system?(ROM?)
if so, how to do it?

long time reader, first time poster.
I can normally find the answer to any question I have by just looking though the forum or by googling it.
I've only had my HD2 a few months and am very pleased. After over 6 happy years using the XDA2 I thought it was time for a change.
Here's my question. On the XDA2 when a new text message arrived the screen backlight would come on for the set time & the red alert light would flash until I read the text.
With my HD2 this does not happen, so if I don't hear the text message audio alert I don't know I've got a new text.
Can I change my settings to make this happen on the HD2?
I'm on T-mobile, ROM 1.72.110.4, the only none standard thing about the phone is co0kie's home tab.

don't know about screen, but there is quite nice app to blink keypad on missed call, sms, email etc.: LeoExtendedNotifications
this app will let you turn on extended notifications. it does not work with vibration but audio works good. mite have to install it twice, just go to settings-sounds and notifications and turn on all your sounds as this resets them and turn what you want to repeat.

I owned an Diamond (but the Screen has gone) and now i got the Blackstone (HD). But one Thing i really miss, are these LEDs the Diamond had in the Key-Area under the Display. These LEDs were flashing when i got a new mail or SMS or phonecall when the device was in silent mode.
Now on the Blackstone there are no LEDs down there (?) only the single LED where you switch the Device on - it indecates if it is charging.
Now i just ask is someone would like to make a simple App that turns the LCD in an LED :-D I mean that the Display blinks when i got an SMS. Not always, but perhaps blink once in 5 seconds or so or fade from off to white and then back again. it should still save battery if possible.
More suggestions would be that the user can choose in the app for which events the LCD is blinking (SMS/Mail/MissedCall/LowBattery/CalendarAppointment/...). also different blinking types for different events could be possible.
I just wanted to share the idea because i couldn't find such an app an i would love to use it.

HI,
I had a big problem on WM6.5
when I lock the phone the black light remain for 1 second, then the screen switch on full light.
in start/ setting/blacklight the control of battery black light and charging blacklight are reversed.
this problem disappear if I put in charge the phone or sync with pc, but if I restart and never sync or charger the problem remains.
this problem is on WM6.5 only, not on Android.
I try:
-task29
-some radio
-2 rom
How can solve this??
