do anyone know the password for extract the Rom Data ? i have already download the Uk XdaIIi rom but i cant upgrade it . i have the Country ID errors problem...do anyone know how to slove it ? Thanks a lot :?

After upgrading my simfree Qtek2020 originaly with french Os to the Tmobile NL pre-release 1.60 firmware , there is now a country error when trying to flash the device with a new firmware (the Dan...).
Does someone know how to get rid of this and workaround it?

Country Error Code is not a Problem anymore, watch the topic how i update my extended ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=4785

You will upgrade it using normal updgrade... :roll:
Before update the Extended rom was read only,
The upgrade upgrade rom, radio and extended rom then after that the extended rom is always read only.

Has someone backed up the original software for xda2

I can confirm that your device is not dead !! You just need now to dig in this forum and you better start with the http://wiki.xda-developers.com/ looking for Himalaya devices and how to prevent the Country Id error and others!! so use the search bro.

I have a Vodafone V1605 and it comes in English lenguage.
I want to upgrade to a Spanish ROM (hopely the last ROM) but I don't now how to do it or where to find the correct executable ROM file.
My PDA Phone is SIM Free and I'm affraid if the new ROM could change it, Is it possible?

Currently Vodafone Spain has not released any rom upgrade yet, and there's no other ROM upgrade available in spanish.

Perhaps they haven't any published ROM, but It may be anyone becouse Vodafone sell this PDA Phone here in Spain.
I tryed to upgrade with an i-Mate spanish ROM (JAM_ESP_11203_159_11210_ship.exe) but an error occurs. Something like "Wrong country".
How can I solve this problem?
In addition, the bluetoth has not the "OBEX" service, so I can't send any stored item. Could this function be 'unlocked'?

I know, I'm Spanish too, but vodafone Spain has still not published ROM upgrades. VF Spain ROM upgrades will come in the future I guess....

BE CAREFUL!!! You were trying to flash a Jam ROM, imate Jam is HTC Wizard, not HTC Hermes, you should flash "JasJam" ROMs but not "Jam" ROMs. Luckily it did not flash, otherwise you could have bricked your unit!
For now just be patient, when a ROM upgrade is available in Spanish we will publish it on the shipped ROMs wiki page.
