Suddenly device went to serial mode. Nothing helps to go back to normal mode. How to get out from it?
Soft and Hard resets don't get out it from this mode.

Yes I did.
The problem was bacause of trying to put wrong version of ROM.
It deleted the OS boot.
The solution is to load original ROM.
For XDA IIi, i think you can take it from ftp://xda-developers.com/Alpine/Extracted ROM/
If you will have "Country ID error", try to launch the upgrading by file MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, which you can take from "Magician" folder.

i have upgraded my o2 XDA II with the Vista RUU and on the updating process the phone suddenly shutdown with out any reason and i encountered an error.. after that im trying to do a hard reset and soft reset but my phone is stuck on the bootloader mode.. i cant get out on the bootloader mode.. please help me xda masters... i got this phone back in 2003 and never updated it.. this is the first time i updated.. help me please

hello guys need your help!
Friend was drunk, splashed his phone with water but didnt notice right away. after some time he realized what has happened and pulled battery out of the phone. unfortunately phone was installing some software update. now phone works fine but is stuck in a boot loop and cant load android. i cant connect it to pc either, says missing driver mt65xx android phone driver. phone is few weeks old, is there any way to restore it to health?
also i cant enter boot menu( power btn +volume up/volume down). phone isnt rooted, all the software is stock.
is there any way to reapir it or my poor firend has to send it on service( and pay for it)?

This phone was stuck at Haier logo. I think this is W718J because it came with android 4.2. I tried a factory reset and now the phone cannot boot at all. No logo, no ability to get into the reset area with volume down and power button. I have tried more than one rom and tried to get the phone working with SP Flash tools but run into errors every time. I have installed the drivers and the pc recognizes the phone in the ports section of the device manager. I have tried many roms, and set the scatter file and then during the download process I get various errors. I have researched this problem for hours on this website and others but think I may doing something wrong. Can any one tell me the exact procedure to fix this phone? And do I need to have the sim card in the phone during these processes. Thank you in advance.

I tried installing a lollipop rom in it,, but the rom proved corrupt and my phone got stuck in bootloop.. This aint the problem as i got it corrected by flashing new stock rom.
The problem starts here---- I was just exploring the phone and i found the app named "FOTA UPGRADE" . I just opened it and clicked on one of the upgrade options. It started installing or something and was taking time . I got confused and took out the battery to switch it off.. UNFORTUNATELY, now the touch of the phone is not responding. Tried factory reset but still not responding. I cant access the phone as it tells me to choose language to GET STARTED. but i cant touch anything..

So I tried to flash TWRP with Flashr on my J3, but when I booted into recovery a blue screen came up saying that system software not authorized by AT&T was found on your device. I got nervous and decided to flash a stock firmware on to my J3, but it fails every time. I finally got to like 10% but then it failed and a blue screen saying,"An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC Software." Smart Switch crashes every time I put in my serial number though so now I'm stuck with a bricked phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated :fingers-crossed:

Try flashing again with Odin, but this time use older versions, maybe v3.10.6 or v3.09.
Solution
I flashed a random root file that I found on another xda post and it managed to boot.

Next time, try not to flash files blindly, because any file that is wrong can brick your phone.
