Why isn't http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org working? - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

I have tried to cook the ROM on this kitchen but I always gen an error:
Warning: fopen(../../download/zdowfbvf/log.html): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/kitchen/processor.php on line 108
Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /var/www/kitchen/processor.php on line 109

what happenet to this site?

Two days ago, it was working. It looks like the server ran out of space. I believe there are too much tempfiles in there...

yes, i know.. few days ago it was working fine, and now something happened :/

Don´t know exactly what happened.....
The error come, because there wasn´t enough space on the harddisk....
Should be fixed now.
But someone is "manipulating" my kitchen. Yesterday there have been build over 140 ROMs.....
Someone is cooking all the time. Also CPU load ist at 100%.... :-(
Stefan

You can add a restriction like "no more than 3 cookings per IP in a period of three hours" and that's it, no more manipulating (at least huge manipulatings heheh).

Damn it!!! "No space left on device" again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SH1T!!!!!
The first time I tried, I got an exe of 1.7mb... then I had to retry many times because of the no left workspaces error, and finally it said rom creation error and no space left on the device in the logfile.
BAN the MF that's flooding the kitchen!

If you can twell me how to do this, i will give it a try....
Or just lokking after the ip-address, that is always at the kitchen to block it directly via firewall.
Had set filetime now to max 8 hours. After this time the ROM will be deleted from the download sector...... If a person isn´t able to download the ROM in this time, he should contact me directly....
Stefan

I have no idea on how to do that (I was being theoric )
Anyway the kitchen is working fine now...

Upgrade to WM2005 - patch problems, and other questions

Firstly, forgive me if this has been covered - I tried searching for this but didn't find an answer...
I'm trying to upgrade my Orange M1000 to WM5 and am worried that I'll totally destroy my machine, so I'm treading as carefully as possible.
I've been following the instructions from xda2jojo but came across something very quickly:
The instructions say to search for nb.nbf. I guessed this might be a typo (?) so I downloaded nk.nbf instead.
I went to patch it but I get an error: "Sorry, this file cannot be patched!"
Also, when in the ROM editor, there is no option for Orange - which should I use instead?
Am I being really dumb or is this a real problem?
Thanks
MkS
The Same Problem in TSM500
I also have the same problem
I tried to patch NK.nbf but it fails, showing the message "Sorry, this file cannot be patched"
I also tried to update my TSM500 without editing this file, but it doesn't seem to connect. And when it connects, it shows a message saying that tuere is a language error.
I used HimaGetDeviceData to get the language configuration, but un file "Devicedata.txt" there is only a "U" and nothing else. There isn´t language nor version number, nothing...
copy the file Devicedata.txt to your pc and open it there.
Use this Himaupgrade file that bypases country and telco identity
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Himalaya_SEs/HimaFiles/himaupgradeut_197.exe
I hope that this help...
Does that also get around the fact that the patch1.exe program claims that nk.nbf cannot be patched?
What this patch for ?
Sorry for question . What this patch for ?
I have no idea, but the instructions for upgrading to WM5 say you've got to patch nk.nbf.
I had the same problem
 I had the same problem ... so I did upgrade without patching .
By the way Sprite Back Up is not working .
Pocket Informant impossible to install .
Hi - get the same problem with the patch. Am treading carefully too to ensure i don't have an expensive paperweight.
Anyone know if the patch is mandatory or is the file linked via the wiki for w2k05 ROM already patched and ready to go and therefore need to skip this step according to the FAQ
Thanks
Finally updated
Finally I got my xdaII updated. I didn't patch nk.nbf, I only uploaded the file.
The xda started correctly, and after an hour since I updated it, I only saw that the buttons "camera" and "recording" (left side of tha xda) doesn't seem to work.
I think that the memory is too low. Maybe I chose a wrong version of WM2005.

In use: 1.74 MB
Free: 12.83 MB
Program
Total: 24.35 MB

Anybody else have the same memory problem?
Thx
(Pd: Voice recording key only works when display is off)
patch NK.nbf but it fails
hi guys
I also have the same problem
I tried to patch NK.nbf but it fails, showing the message "Sorry, this file cannot be patched"
Can any one help us
tKS
Upgrade successful
I had the same problem. I did not patch and performed the upgrade. Everything works fine except the record and camera buttons. Vito Button mapper does not help either, but it does allow you to make the contact & calendar buttons multi-functional so they can replace the for-now missing buttons.
Good luck.
Who else to ask ?
I did PM to xda2jojo and I have no answer ? probably he is busy .
sorry to edit this....give me time to edit the procedure---xda2jojo
if you received the "Sorry, this file cannot be patched" error message ..
there are only two reason .. maybe you downloaded a corrupted nk.nbf ..
exact size of nk.nbf
1.50f.00WWE
is 33,554,496 bytes(32,769kb)
1.50f.blWWE (BuzzMobile 2005)
is also 33,554,496 bytes(32,769kb)
but if you think you downloaded it right and still receive this error ..
it only means that you downloaded a already patched ROM and no need to patch it anymore ..
just skip the procedures about patching the rom
and go directly to upgrading
now if you receive a country id Error .. just use modified Himaupgradeut.exe
read the wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Himalaya_2005
to know where you can get the file
Thanks
Thanks
That's cool - thanks!
Bugger - I had to go back down to 2003SE.
No MMS, no Messenger, and no working Activesync. It looked so great too. It was the MMS and Activesync issues that were key for me though. Will wait till a definitive fix is found and try again.
Thanks for your help, though, guys. If I hadn't tried, I'd never know.
Messenger works OK on mine. Activesync works OK on my laptop, but not my Desktop. MMS doesn't work though, yet.
same problem
hey ppl i 2 have the sameproblem my file size of nk.nbf is 32,769 kb is that ok i also do not ahve active sync 4 installe dnither do i have service pack 2 isntalled is it sensible 2 insatall or will it screw up myprecious xda2?plz let me kno asap

This is how i did it, works to the T 4 me (I Have A Zipped NK.NBF)
Step 1
Unzip From First Part, (It Should Automatically Unzip Second Part)
(Ignore this if you already have unzipped NK.NBF)
Step 2
Using WM2005patch1.exe Patch The NK.NBF File
Step 3
Using ER2003Edit Change The Country Code 2, O2 WWE
Step 4
Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe
Step 5
Once All Installed Reboot Fone And Run ExtROM_WM2005.cab,
ExtROMUnlocker(for_WM2005Only).cab And BuzzWM2005RAMDisk-Full.cab
2 unlock hidden memory!
(Shows 124mb Ramdisk & 15mb Storage formaly known as ExtRom)
Not sure if there is updated ramdisk or not...
My activesync 4 works flawlessy With Win XP Service Pack 2,
MMS Doesn't Work For Me Either,
I have downgraded back 2 wm2003se for this reason...
Well just untill Someone gets it running again...
Good Luck, & Ave Fun! The general layout onWM2005 is great.

System files moving not permitted

Hi to everyone.
Before this HTC device I had others and also had a Motorola Mpx220 (WM2003 SE).
I was used to move the files within "\Windows\Start Menu" (mostly .lnk files to installed programs) into newly created subfolders, to be able to use and/or access the function I needed in a faster way.
I've tried doing the same on this WM5 device, but everytime I try I get an error message reporting it is not possible (File Explorer has greyed out options to cut and/or copy, while TotalCommander just reports it's not possible to "overwrite" ???).
Does anyone have an idea of how this can be done (registry ???) ?
Thank you.
Ciao
Here is the solution...
Hi Mix, it's Mix answering (yes, I'm the same person...)...
First of all I would like to thank you ALL the people which knew the solution and were fighting to answer to my doubt...
You were so many, I wonder why the message has been read times and so many answers arrived: 0 (yes, ZERO).
Anyway, I came across the solution myself, by chance...
The problems seems being the smartphone versions of WM5 being protected against file modifications. This protection extends also to some files execution and to certificate installations (hence some problems may arise when connecting to an Exchange Server for syncronization).
Some tools are needed to remove this protection, and some experience of registry modification is required too (I will not help anyone beside what is in this message and I take no responsability for any mistakes and/or troubles you may produce or face).
First of all you need a special version of RegEdit (the tool from PHM): you should find an HTC digitally signed copy of it called RegEditSTG.exe.
Look around for it: there are many forums around which do hold a copy of it.
Place it in your phone's memory, not on the MicroSD card...
With this tool you should change the following values:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001 = 2 => 1 (RAPI)
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 16 => 40 (Cert)
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001017 = 128 => 144 (?)
The first is the value you will find, the second is the value you should enter. The third line has a question mark because someone says it should be made, someone not... It's up to you. I made it.
Then you should find another tool (with the same above method) called SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe which has to be run on your desktop PC with the phone already connected with USB (and possibly with ActiveSync not in the middle of a sync...).
Once you run this, you will get a message that the unlock took place (if not, it may be the first operations did not complete well).
Disconnect your phone from the USB cable and power cycle it (switch it off and then on again).
Opla'... the phone is not APPLICATION UNLOCKED and you will be able to move file around the directories as I was looking to when I first posted my message.
Now I have a very quick Start Menu, as I wanted.
Please, be aware that this operation hacks the security policies of WM5 and then any other application which may be dangerous can now run on your phone.
If you wish to stay on the safe side, it could be useful to restore the registry settings to their original values, but I do not know if this could cause other problems, since I didn't on my phone.
I actually double check every single file by myself before launching it and I do not run anything which I'm not sure it is safe.
So, pay attention... (you have been warned...).
Hope this helps someone else out there.
Ciao
Thanks for the tips mate! I was searching around for the same problem.
Can a hard reset put all the files back as in the old WM2003? I'm asking that 'cause if you look at the windows directory, many exe and dll files are repeated, with a different code. I guessed they are for the many different languages the phone support and the code is the country code. Maybe when you switch from one language to another those files are renamed so you have the correct exe and dll for the language you need...
If I can erase all the files I don't need (I will never change the language or maybe have only italian and english) I can save lot of space.
Am I wrong? Was that ever tried before?

In order:
- Yes, I suppose a hard reset of the device completely restores the original factory settings, hence, the device will appear as "brand new".
- You're right: all the localized files present there are just to be able to swithc to other languages (maybe following user's settings and maybe also following user's SIM settings too...).
- Erasing the unused files may appear as a "space saving" job. It is not. First of all you will not be able to remove ROM resident files, but provided you could be able to do this, you will not be able to use ROM space as you intend...
Finally then, it's completely unuseful to try to remove them, just a waste of time trying...
Ciao
Thanks Michele.
Are you sure the windows directory is in ROM?
I always tought ROM was only to store the "disk" image when you hard reset the device. I was so for the Qtek S100.

Yes it is. On the fact that it is then copied into RAM, well, this is a tecnique which was used up to WM2003 SE devices.
Starting from WM5 devices MS somewhat changed the behaviour of the whole system, hence I'm not then so sure.
Indeed, I have never been sure of anything, beside death, so you can imagine...
I'm not really so "expert".
Having used an MPx220 for over one year (with all its limitations, but exploiting it very much), using a WM5 device now is a much more relaxed experience (faster, more realiable and less troubly in terms of memory).
Just MHO
Thanks Mix - i followed your directions and it worked.

Can Someone Look At This RGU File And Tell Me Why I'm Getting An Error While Cooking?

I keep getting an error in reference to the Google Maps rgu file while in BuildOS. I'd appreciate it if someone took a look and figured out the syntax error. I've tried remaking the package a couple of times, using different cabs but no dice. I would just install after cooking but GoogleMaps is something I want in all of my ROMs so I'd rather have it cooked in. Thanks.

Yes
There are several other times package creator will fail you. I highly recommend everyone starting of cooking learn to make a package or two by hand. That way when things like this happen they will know why
Not to mention they will respect the time tools such as package creator save compared to doing it by hand.
Thanks, guys. I'm cooking another ROM now due to a huge newbie mistake(GSM on CDMA, oops). I'll report back in a little while as soon as I'm done. Thanks again.
*EDIT - I'll take a crack at making a package manually as soon as I flash my first working, custom ROM. I've been at this for about 12 hours, with 6 hours in the middle to sleep, so I'm in full OCD mode and need to get this done. Thanks for the advice.

also another thing you can do is make the package without the rgu file then recook the rom then dump it, don't use packagetool, just leave it in the dump folder and modify the hive files with the reg settings from the rgu.
I got another error with GoogleMaps though I don't remember which so I just left it out. I made the ROM lite to keep any problems to a minimum and it came out pretty well. I'm doing a crap load of research on a lot of stuff before I cook again so hopefully I can figure it out. Next ROM I make, I'll try GoogleMaps again and report back the error I get or if it works.
I haven't dumped a ROM yet. What's the benefit in doing that? I didn't really understand the instructions you gave in regards to dumping and making the package without the RGU. What happens if I do that?
Thanks again.
SOLVED
I used another GoogleMaps package I found on the site and it cooked fine. Thanks again for everyone who helped.

[GUIDE]How to use G'Reloc.exe for Windows Mobile 6.5 SYS Relocation

Note for Mods: If you feel that this thread belongs to some different forum, feel free to move it (coz i also have this feeling, but i am not clear
Hi Friends,
I have seen this discussion many times that the older GReloc cannot be used for relocating newer, WM 6.5 SYS. While this is partially true, there is a workaround for this that I have been using with last 2-3 WM 6.5 ROMs that i have cooked for myself. So i thought it will be good for all the fellow chefs and wannabes if i share this info with you.
Although the new tool WMReloc can be used in place of GReloc, i don't find it as user friendly as GReloc and since GReloc works for me, there is not enough reason for me to switch over. Also, once or twice i have seen reports of WMReloc doing overlapping of addresses while the relocation process which defy its sole purpose.
So here is the method I use :
1. Download Unlocker from Here. This will help you unlock files that are currently in use by other programs so that you can copy move and delete them. Install it and on every file and folder you'll get a new entry in context menu called "Unlocker".
2. Now start Greloc.exe and fill in proper values if needed. Click "Do It". When it gives Integer Overflow, click OK but dont close it. Press "Do It" again and this time it will show you the file that is givin error in the message box, mostly its a .tmp file.
3. Go to the file, right click on it and select "Unlocker". In the box that opens, on the right hand, choose delete in the dropdown box. Now click Unlock All. This will delete the file.
4. Click "Do It" in GReloc Window again, this time it will complete the process. If the error comes again, for a different file (never happened with me though), repeat this process.
5. To be sure, run GReloc once again and it will complete the process successfully in one go.
Explanation:
Although I don't claim to be an expert on this subject, As far as my understanding goes, the problem lies within the algorithm used in GReloc. It uses integer data typed variables for doing whatever it does during the relocation process and with Wm 6.5, somehow the value stored in one of these variables crosses the upper or lower limit of the allowed range for integer variables.
Now, In the process of relocation, GReloc creates a tmp file based on the contents of the modules it is relocating. When error occurs GReloc stops as it is and doesn't closes the handle to this tmp file. This causes the process of relocation to fail on successive attempts.
What we do is we unlock this file forcefully using unlocker and delete it. This way, GReloc restarts the relocation process from that module again and the problem is solved.
Happy Cooking!
Hi sumit,
Great tutorial. It'll be aplicable not only to wm6.5 but to wm6.1 as well. In some wm6.1 roms i have the same problems.
this is temporally solution if u want to know how to use wmreloc i will tell u
but if you r using ramersonw kitchen it will little bit trick becoz tool folder comes when you start kitchen
i have my own kitchen witch support wmreloc 1.4
@ ramersonw
if u want to add wmreloc support to your kitchen contact me , and what about your visual kitchen ? is it done ? tell me if you want any help .
@Ankit: Yes its a temporary solution, it was working for me for last few roms so i thought it may be of some use to others also. And Yes, Please post the tutorial for using WMReloc.exe either in this thread (I'll rename the title of thread in that case) or in a separate thread, as you find it appropriate. That will be really good. Try to post the necessary tools with it too, like the WMReloc.exe file itself and anyother thing needed to use it.
In Ramerson's kitchen, the tools folder is created at start of the process, and buildos runs for atleast a minute or two, so the files in tools folder can be replaced in that period.
@Ramerson: Ya, the problem can occur in WM 6.1 also. I think it has to do something with the number of files that GReloc is relocating. Actually at the start of the relocation process, GReloc seems to be calculating which files needs to be relocated, and if this number exceeds a certain limit, that i am not aware of yet, it crashes. But when the relocation process is resumed from the point of error, number of files to relocate comes within the range and then GReloc continues. Great thing is that GReloc is a .NET app and exception handling has been done quiet intuitively otherwise there was no chance to resume this process.
Anyways Buddy, These are just assumptions and are working for now but this may not last for long so i think its really the time to update your kitchen. I request you to either you do it, or please share the code with me and i will try to understand and port it to .NET for further development.
krazy_about_technology, hi, put that in the attache a folder tools in their kitchen. And replacement following -" GReloc-doit-dump" on - "start / w "" tools \ WMReloc.exe-g. \ Temp \ dump-lWMReloclog2.txt"
Good luck

You can download ankit wm6.5 kitchen, edit file build.cmd in the tools folder,
find line
start /w "" Tools\G'Reloc -doit -dump
change it with
start /w "" tools\wmreloc -gtemp\dump
save the file.
copy wmrelox.exe to tools folder
The file missing is in either marketplace or my phone. I got that message too. I removed these two packages and thereafter the process went smoothly. WMReloc skippes these files. Did you checked whether these services are working in your wmreloced rom?
I can't found it in wmreloc log, but it work well in my gene
I will give you solution very soon

[RESOLVED] ROM Version/Date Relocated

I've been struggling over the past few days trying to get the latest AT&T ROM working in a kitchen. I've tried three different workstations and two Virtual Machines assuming it was an environmental issue.
As a result, I decided to create a fresh new "old style" (PkgToolsBuildOS) kitchen on the assumption that something was wrong with my kitchens.
Noticed the following anomalies in the fresh new kitchen:
1) XIP.BIN / OS.NB.PAYLOAD
Noticed that when performing a Find Date/Rom Version on PAYLOAD or Find Date/ROM Version on XIP_OUT.BIN using XIPPORTEREX 1.2 rev32 , I get the following information:
Date: 06/May/2009
Rom Version: [K] InitDr
I've used the standard process that I always use which yields a working OS.NB.PAYLOAD and even validated it against Aruppenthal & Da_G's sk00ling.
Essentially: PP Unlock, NoCert Patch, PP = 6 MB ... same OEMXIP & MSIXP kernel for now just to try and get it to work.
2) Compiled ROM
If I change the ROM Version & update the Date (as per usual), the ROM compiles fine and boots. However, I am unable to connect to browse the Internet even though the 3G/H data connection appear indicating that a connection is established.
The ROM, OEM, SYS are all 20771 (5.511.502.2) for now just to try and get it to work using my Rogers SIM.
Has anyone else run into similar anomalies before? Cause I'd sure love to know what the heck I'm missing/doing wrong.
* EDIT *
Some of the "paranoid" measures I have done: Rootkit Scan, Full Anti-Virus Scan, Mem Test, Hard Drive Diag, CHKDSK, Restart, typical IT stuff ...
I'm not really sure what could be wrong, but if you need the dump set up for Visual, I had no problems dumping it and uploaded the untouched "Kitchen" to my FTP. Its labeled correctly as the build number 5.11.xxxx. I wish Icould help more, as you have helped me out a bunch.
EDIT: I did dump a ROM recently and got the same Version ID with xipporter as you have mentioned, but thought nothing of it. And I dont remember which it was, so sorry still not very helpful.
The ROM Version "garbage" is odd and IMHO should not be like that - your confirmation that you saw the same thing is very helpful ... at least I'm not losing my mind completely.
I'm trying to keep a PkgToolsBuildOS (5.3) and a Visual Kitchen (9.8) going for folks to use.
I had gone through all of the effort to port 21051 (SYS) and 20771 (OEM) in the hopes of posting it up before the end of the weekend ... then I started running into these unexplained issues and ended up scrubbing the lot.
I'm in the midst of recreating a new Visual Kitchen (9.8) and am discovering additional files in the OEM folder that weren't there before in older versions of the Visual Kitchen - not sure what it means yet; sure hope it doesn't mean having to recreate a kitchen everytime there's an update to the tools.
Cheers,

Several of the new builds are this way. Its because the date info has been moved. Until someone figures out which part needs hex edited we are stuck with stock dat Version changes fine.
Are you saying that we should *no longer* be changing the ROM Version and ROM Date?
In my case the Date "looked" ok but the ROM Version was bogus.
Which leads to these questions:
Does this also mean that PagePool Unlock, NoCert Patching, PagePool sizing are also in jeopardy of moving? (I know you or others won't have an answer for this one as it's in the hands of the OEM).
Does this mean that PkgToolsBuildOS kitchens and supporting tools are now at end-of-life?
Hate that when I forget to read the memo
UPDATE
Well, after an all-nighter ...
I can confirm that attempting to change the ROM Version and/or ROM Date via XIPPorterEX, PkgToolsBuildOS6.x-5.3, or Visual Kitchen 9.8 will indeed mess up the ROM - at least on the Raphael.

So am I correct in assuming that when I change the PP in the 21806 version (as posted by Da_G) it is not really changing the PP. I did wonder why the amount of RAM didnt increase

The PagePool seems ok on my 6.1 builds at the moment but Da_G could best confirm that as he's been on this "circuit" way longer than I.
An observation I made, while I've been working on this, is that the PP size on the AT&T 5.11.502.2 seems to be set 1MB ... at least that's what XIPPorterEX 1.2 rev32 reports when I issue a change to the PagePool to 16MB on a non-reduced ULDR os.nb.payload.
Hmmm, Wonder why when I change my PP to 0 I still only have 197mb Total instead of about 213mb total? Might have to do a test and set it higher to see if my free space decreases
UPDATE: Direct From Da_Grand Pubba ...
Just had a quick chat with Da_G and he confirms that there's been a change in the XIP modules.
At first glance, he noticed that the NK.EXE module has three (3) new resource strings. So in short, if the ROM Version happens to display [K] InitDr (which is [K] InitDriverGlobals) DO NOT attempt to change the Date/ROM Version.
He also had a quick look for Certificate Patching, PagePool Unlock, and PagePool resizing - these appear to be untouched at the moment.
