HELP! XDA1 hang after Radio Upgrade - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

First of all:
I tried many of the solutions given here but nothing worked ...
Here is the problem:
I placed a Radio Update File on my XDA1. On 10% my little daugther crashed the system. After all the System does not boot any more so I can't get access to Win CE. Active Sync can't get access to my XDA.
My bootloader Version is 5.22
It is not possible for me to boot and flash from a SD-Card. If I insert my SD (done with XDAtools) nothing happen. After a Soft- oder Hard-Reset the same. The old bootloader appear.
Ver. 5.22 does not support to restore the System from SD-Card. It is only possible to backup my defective System to SD ....
because SD-boot and flash does not work it is not possible for me to change the bootloader to become a Version which can restore the System an Radio from SD ...
Does anybody knows a solution for me?

I got same problem also but is by power failure
my bootloader is Wallaby v5.17 and can't recognize any type of sd or mmc card

Re: There is no Screen: 'SD Download' when flash ROM from SD
I know the problem is.
My BootLoader is 5.17, and must have a card key in my SD Card to use it.
My question is how to write a card key to my SD Card, so that I can flash my ROM.
Please help me
Thanks a lot
Try bootloader downgrade
There are issues regarding re-flashing w/bootloader 5.17. I had a 5.17 too before and I tried downgrading to 5.15 that allowed me to reflash my ROM. Check this out:
http://www.romkitchen.de/
search for the topic "how to unlock your device" (Thanks to Lumpi for this one)
I have read also somewhere in the forum that allows a workaround to get pass the 5.17 bootloader, I just can't remember exactly where.
Good luck!
Re: Try bootloader downgrade
I've readed it, and downloading file from romkitchen.de is in progress.
Well, I can't downgrade 5.17 to 5.15 because my USB Connection on my XDA ROM was erased, so I can't downgrade from PC.
It should be downgraded by SD Card only.
My question is: In http://romkitchen.de there's option to download like this
How would you like your ROM?
installer EXE
zipped NK.nb1 (SD-card flashing)
zipped NK.nbf (advanced users)
I must choose zipped NK.nb1 (SD-card flashing). But is it included ROM 5.15?
IF it is included ROM 5.15, thanks God. But if not, it's useless..
Please help me...
Thanks a lot..

Bootloader
Bootloader is different from the ROM. You can get Wallaby bootloader 5.15 from the ftp site:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wallaby/
Check this thread also:

This process worked for me. During that time (GSM error), I wasn't also able to connect to my PC thus downgraded my bootloader and re-flashed ROM via SD card.

Hope this helps...

Still problem: Can I format with MMC not SD?
Thanks for the tutorial.
I've already tried with my MMC 512MB.
But it didn't worked.
It didn't show "SD Download". There was nothing, only Diagnostic when entered Bootloader 5.17
Was it because of my MMC Card?
Should it be used SD Card?
I don't have SD Card, only MMC.
Can I use it?
Or, is there another solution for my problem?
I think, if there were a software for ActiveSync CAB on PDA, it would help to connect to PC, since my ROM couldn't connect to PC.
Or, is there any software to format MMC Card to be an SD Card?
Please help me
Thanks a lot for your support.

Already Done. It worked. Thanks a lot
Dear all,
I'm very happy today. It worked for me.
Thanks a lot for your support.
I'm great to be in this forum.
Thanks a lot.
At my explanation below, finally I found, I did wrong procedure.
I inserted my MMC when it was off, then full reset
In the tutorial, it was not mentioned detail.
The right procedure: insert SD/MCC when it is on, then full reset.
But anyway, it worked, I love my XDA.......
God bless you all.

Nice to hear that
Nice to hear that samjeff. Let's all continue to enjoy our old, old Wallabys.

Is it possible to flash ROM without USB?

Unfortunately, i've a brocked usb at my HTC Nike - it was burned by incompatible charger. So, is it possible to flash from SD card like another HTC phones?
Yes it is possible, though I've not been able to get it to work myself.
Process is...
1. Format SD Card to FAT32
2. Rename your rom to NIKEIMG.NBH and copy to sd card
3. boot phone in bootloader more and it should flash. (i used enterbootloader.exe, but you can also use power+camera+reset apparantly)
I think because I've upgraded my HardSPL it doesn't work for me, as I sit in bootloader screen (white with word "loading...") for ages.
Anyway, here's a link where I found the info.
Hope it works for someone else.
Yes, it works! Thank you!

[Q] Problem downgrading

My screen of my G2 Touch was broken, so it went to repair. I removed the SD card beforehand. I used to have Froydvillain on it and the SD card was/is partitioned.
I got a new phone and as a 'service' they put the latest ROM on it. So, in order to root it, I have to downgrade. Alas, that doesn't work. I use the Goldcard tool in order to create a goldcard image and I put that on the SD card. First I formatted the SD card via the option on the phone. Then I wanted to run 'RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.5_WWE'. That does not work. I got a USB error. I removed the drivers and retried. Same problem. Then I tried to use the HEROIMG.zip solution. Doesn't work either. The file is not found.
Also, when the connection between the phone and computer is broken, I need to reformat the SD-card. I assume that the goldcard does not work. Perhaps the problem is that the SC card is still partitioned. How can I remove the partitions on the card? I do not have the recovery image yet...
Is there another way to root the phone that I am not aware of?
Solved... I first ran ultimateroot (or something like that) and then Rommanager. That program managed to install the Amon Ra recovery...

[Q] something wierd!

Hello everybody!
I hope you can help me.
I got HD2 European.First when i unpack it,it was the official firmware 1.66,i downloaded the last one,and flashed it,after i made HSPl.It was good, but the custom that i was downloaded was a bit buggy,so i wanted to make an back up to old, official.I tried to flash it form my sd card, but here starts the most weird thinks. Its not flashing from sd card.I removed the HSPL,by the HSPL method and chose the 2.08.0000(from some forum told me to do that,to remove hspl)
But now i got memory bag,i cant install any program because there is no memory.
Please help me,how can i flash it with original firmware,to make it as it was from the shop?
Why its not flashing from sd card?(i tried on 3 sd cards, but still nothing.....)
I see the boot, starts the loading for a sec,and again boot.
Thx to everyone who can help me.
(I got the last firmware,boot 2080000)
anyone?
Please???
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode (with phone off, press and hold the Volume Down button, then tap the Power button). what does it display?
What size of SD card did you try to use to do the flashing with?

Hi
Can you flash via your computer with active sync or windows mobile device center?
Its better than using the sd card, as the micro sd i had was corrupted.

[Q] unable to flash any ROM

Hi all,
cause my HD2 was getting freeze, I decided to flash it again. After few attempts I am in phase, that I can´t successfully finish any ROM flashing.
I tried official ROMs 1.66.405.2, 1.66.479.2, 3.14.479.2 and also unofficial.
Now I have HSPL 3.03 and flashing always ends up with error mostly in 1% or more %, because of "communication error" or "image file corruption" or "old version of DFT". Flashing from SD card does not work, it goes directly in SPL window..
Phone is still under warranty, but I´m afraid they will refuse it due to installed HSPL.
Does exist some another app like TASK29 or low-level formatting tool?
Any idea what could I try? Can it be cause of corrupted flash memory?
Thanks.
Mira
Don't freak out all is not lost you just hit a bump in the road. Did you reflash HSPL after trying to flash via SD card as flashing a official ROM via SD card will revert you back to SPL.
Yes run a Task 29 on your HD2 and make sure you right click it and run it as administrator. You have to have HSPL to run a Task 29 though so make sure you have HSPL before you run it.
I have used HSPL4 app so at this time I have in phone 3.03 HSPL.
Flashing from SD card didn´t work, window with instruction does not appear.
With Task29 is the situation same. Mostly it does not finish successfully and fail after 19% due to reasons mentioned above. I have only one account in WinXP with admin rights, so this is ok I think.
Just to be sure here you copied the RUU_signed.nbh file to your SD card and renamed it LEOIMG.nbh and then powered your HD2 on while holding the volume down button down right? Just double checking is all, plus you might have to reformat your SD card using Fat 32 if you try it again and get the same results.
It does not matter if you have one or more admin accounts on your computer and it does not matter if you are using the admin account still right click it and run as admin trust me on this.
Also go to myphone.microsoft.com/getstarted and download and install the latest version of ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center wich ever one you need according to what version of Windows your computer uses. I tell you to do this to make sure you have the latest USB drivers for your HD2.
- yes I tried it exactly this way, they were 1GB and 4GB microSD formated as FAT32
- as I said, I do not have possibility run exe file as admin, however it was working fine in the past
- I´m using now latest version MS Activesync 4.5.0
still no change

Try Googling for "Panasonic micro SD card formatting software" downloads and install it (it is free) and format your card with it. Sometimes the windows format utility just doesn't do the job. Then place the leoimg.nbh file on your SD card and try to flash it.
