Hello.
Recently I just upgraded my himalaya into wm2003se inorder to make my headset work with widcomm stack. But still there is no changes.
So I read that if downgrade the radio from 1.18 to 1.17 the headset will work.
I will be very glad to have the guide how to downgrade my radio from 1.18 to 1.17...
Thanks.

Hi All,
I upgraded my QTEK2020 to T-Mobile 1.60.00WWE. Everything normal except with radio on (radio vers. 1.06.01) sync hangs up and when i use contacts it usually hangs too...
What is the best upgrade available?
Anyone can help me? :?:
Thanks

The latest radio stack is 1.10.00 and included in all new o2 (and i-mate) upgrades. I suggest that you take this radio stack 'cause I did not experience that kind of problems yet.
Think it should be possible to use that radio stack for qtek as well but I think that there is already an upgrade for qtek containing the latest radio stack. Maybe you should check with your provider first...
How specifically do you take parts and pieces from a ROM upgrade, or in the case of this thread the Radio Stack?
I have an MDA II, with 1.60. I did not upgrade to the 1.60.36, because I did not really hear positive things about it and my device is working quite well.
I would however like to improve the Radio Stack independent of upgrading the ROM Ext.
How do I do this?
Ed
I have read that different Radio Stacks can be used with different ROMs, but after a search I cannot seem to find instructions as to how you do this.
My example: I have an MDA II with 1.60 ROM, Radio Version 1.06.01, and I would like to upgrade the Radio Stack to the 1.10, but not the ROM or Ext. ROM.
Can I do this with the Radio Stack in of itself or must I upgrade the entire ROM Package?
If I can just install Radio Stack Upgrade by itself, how do I do it?
Thank You,
Ed
I have win mobile 2003 rom version 1.72.00wwe with radio version 1.17.00 and i want to upgrade it to radio 1.18.00.
How can i do that?
Thx!
There's no radio with that version
Hi.
You probable messed up the version number.
Current newest radio rom for BA is 1.13.00.
Read the wiki, to get it and how ti install it.
this post should be moved to Himalaya forum
Moved from BA section

Good question, I tried doing this on my MDA II but for some reason I seem to be missing a piece of the puzzle. I read the Himalaya pages in the Wiki on this and have transferred the Radio 1.18 file to my MDA II. Now I can't seem to remember how the heck to complete the radio upgrade.
Anyone knows how to upgrade the radio from 1.17 to 1.18 without installing win in an T-Mobile mda 2?
Thx!
Hi,
My Qtek 1010's radio reception is awful but do not have the courage to upgrade my radio stack due to numerous messages i read about broken radio stacks. Are there any available upgrades upgrading both radio stack and the os. If there are upgrade files available in this manner i believe os and radio stack should be compatible and upgrading will be less risky.
My rom is 4.01.12 eng (i upgraded via sdcard)
Radio version 3.25.01
Protocol version 32S54
Thanks
sorry wrong address. i have posted same to uprgrading sub-group.
Hello everybody!
Could someone tell me if it's possible (and how to do it) to upgrade only the radio part? And where do i get the 1.47 (the last one?)? Now I have an Advantage X7500 wm5 1.25 with radio 1.38.
Thank you for your time!

I went to a combination of the 2.20 rom for x7500 plus radio stack 1.47 out of the x7501 by performing the follwing steps
1- Run OliPRO unlocker (all 3 steps!)
2- Flash to WM5 (you get radio 1.38)
3- Flash to WM6 x7501 (you get radio 1.47)
4- Flash to WM6 x7500 (radio 1.47 stays put)
Thank you!
I'll try your method.
Olipro or others, Possible to do separate installers for the Radio ROMs? I know they did this with the Wizard so that people could choose their radio independent of the ROM.
