Now that all the new ROM upgrades for XDA II in different languages and with different components are available I start wondering if there will be a "special" XDA-developers edition or a ROM kitchen for XDA II as well I would like to get rid of some stuff from the ROM like the for me very useless photo contacts, the PPT and PDF viewer and instead pre-install RESCO File Explorer, Pocket Informant and some others... and since I don't understand why we're left here with an 1.08 radio stack I would like to get the 1.10 that the European versions have...
Anyone sharing my desire or working on something like that :?:
Upgraded to 2k5 yesterday & loved it. Problem is the following apps dont work & I am pretty used to them. Some are really critical.
Apps that dont work:
Intelligolf 6.2
MS Money 2005
SPB Pocket Pus
tAgenda 1.1
Not sure what bin compatibility MS has broken with 2k5. Have people had similar experience & is there a way to get these apps to run on 2k5?
Help!
Thanx
Malhar
not sure if it's ms who changed the stk or if those programs did thing shady which is not alowed by the os anymore

I have an HTC device since blue angel, then Wizard, Hermes and Athena now (HTC flavour)
As happy user of Jasjamin WM6 ROM, I noticed some features to be added to a "plain" WM6 Athena ROM
I will suggest, from XDA, WM6 remote desktop (I use it with athena big screen to work remotely on my home/office PC from the beach when needed ) and OFFICE 2007 cab , from Wizard forum, new office 2007 appz and ONENOTE, great app to take a note on the road, having pictures, sound ad formatted text together. Good way to prepara an article or a simple trip record
I think I will test the TOUCH home plugin. Any other suggestion? Midget, from your Rom building experience, (the Athena rom seems an OLD wm6), what do you suggest to add?

Yes, the Midget new rom will be the future, I am talking about now!
Many wm6 rom are available and many add-on are available too!
That's why I am asking to exchange here the known WM6 add on available for other devices and working with ATHENA.
I believe I will need a new rom ONLY to have a RADIO, IPL, SPL, page pool,... mix to have a well tuned ROM.
Today the scene is...not so many ATHENA original ROMs to choose (and to mix) , the appz are easy to install by myself and I don't need to have a ROM developed just to put together some appz!
yes, I don't care about windows customer experience, but ATHENA has enought CPU power and memory and we are allowed to ignore unuseful MS jokes .

suggest posting in the athena forum under romfeature request threads
Does anyone know of any freeware utility to edit compimeh.NNNN.dat (my NNNN is 0409) (the auto completion user dictionary) in wm6 (windows mobile 6)?
I have an HTC x7501 Advantage (This is the Athena platform, right?)
it's quickly getting filled with nonsense, based on my usage and needs to be edited.
dmig's dictionary editor is not working for WM6 yet
2 years on and we all seem to be waiting still, mate! lol
Does ANYONE (and I mean ANYONE) have a dictionary editor for WM6.1 yet? I write very technical sms/emails and have oodles of terms I need in the dictionary, but also lots of misspellings etc.
gone issue
i have a touch pro2 (running wm6.1)
it has and editor for the custom spelling dictionary it uses.
you just press the gears button (on the keyboard) and it shows up.
I've got a Himalaya PH10B.
Currently it's on Windows Mobile 2003 from o2 with lots of annoying bloat.
I also own a "Lobster TV" which uses WM5, which is really but I really like the features. It has Pocket MSN built into the homescreen which allows easy access to hotmail, messanger etc.
I would like a Rom which has the following features:
WM5 or above.
No custom logos, no rom makers name plastered everywhere.
Pocket MSN or Windows Live messanger and easy access to hotmail.
The standard games left intact if possible.
I also noticed that WM2003 which is currently installed on this machine does not syncronise the contact photos, whereas the lobster does. Is this a feature of WM5? It would be great if the rom also did this as I like to keep my contacts list up to date.
Can someone reccomend me a suitable rom if there is such a thing?
that would include most the roms in the himalaya wm5 and wm6 forum same goes for the wm6.1 roms there
most diff between them are pagepool included programs removed programs
