hi,
i recently flashed my new niki that came right from support with the new htc shipped rom, and also the lite v2.1. but i can't seem to get the hardware drivers to work... no idea why... in lite v2.1 with 3d drivers i get extreme lags all the time and the D3D benchs, whatever u wanna call it just show errors and close. on shipped htc rom i've installed the cab found on htcclassaction.org. the dll check says "dll check finished" but it won't work anyway. none of the benchs work. im using hard spl 1.15 mfg ( might this be the problem? ) and using the radio that came with lite v2.1/shipped rom (dunno lol ) i get no audio there, but ill fix that later... so what to do now?
ok so now ive tried a few radios/spls... still no better... dll check is ok but none
of the other tools work. also performance doesn't seem to be better anywhere
Hey I had this problem and then i realised that you need to install the polaris version of the drivers not the kaiser version. The htcclassaction website is wrong. see here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=435153
that worked fine thanks... btw: touchflo3d (not the manila 2d one ) runs fine! its nearly as fast as manila 2d!

Wow!! That´s a great rom! I`m impressed and its running very good on o2 XDA Comet. It recognized the 1GB Flash Rom and my 8GB Mini SD card. It´s better than all other roms! Great work! Respect!

Everything seems alright, BlueT is work ok, 3G network and WIFI are ok.
Traditional Chinese display ok (with the software from http://www.studiokuma.com/wm/?section=support)
Traditional Chinese input not ok, you can install and select the SIP, but the on screen keyboard won't come up)

Tried this already, so far so good. Some error messages specifically when opening the getting started apps. One concern would be when your closing an application using the x button it doesn't totally close and resides in the memory that causes a slowdown. But still quite satisfied with it.

Atom Life is the worst phone I've got so far.
So I missed countless call & SMS.
Can't get any roms to run stable on this phone.
May be my hardware rev is a bit old.
Hope this 6.5 can bring it back to life.

TranMinhMan's ROM was great, but freeze for a moment when i make a call or receive a call..untill now, i hv no idea to solve this bug..but overall, it's Great ROM...

There's no such thing as a 'best' rom.. but the ones i'd recommend are any of the PDAViet ones. You should try their latest WM6.1 ROM and just fiddle around with it a bit until its tweaked to perfection like everyone else has done. As for the phone freezing during a call... install a PDAViet ROM then see if that still occurs.. if so you might wanna update your Radio version
I agree. At the moment I'm on the "clean" 20931 ROM, but I'm gonna get rid of that one and go back to one of the earlier. I think all the integrated 20XXX ROMs from PDAViet are pretty good (the ones with Manila 2D), but they have their problems. Much of those problems are memory related, like Manila stopping when launching Opera and then restarting, pushing Opera back in the background. And on some PocketIE has a problem where it suddenly exits on a webpage with a few too many pictures. That's probably related to not having enough memory as well. But if you can live with that, I'd recommend one of those PDAViet ROM's. If not you might just as well stick with the (oh, so boring) last official MWG ROM. Me, I wouldn't put an original ROM on my son's PDA...which is why his Exec has the TJs_21014_Atom_Exec_M2D_Black_ROM. I'm sad to say that it's actually more stable than my Atom Life! Quite embarassing, really...

I can't use Opera with M2D on my AtomLife......it will halt
Start up not really fast but smooth to use.
How does that work with Manila 2D? I prefer that embedded in the ROM, it seems to work better then. Do you use it?

My atom life seems don't like to work with Opera under M2D.....

I already tried all WM6.1 Roms for Atom Life as many as i can find in this forum...
And now i'm happy using Manilla 2D 19971 T2M
i will try to update my Radio version...
Opera runs very slow, but it never crash or stopping Manilla 2D, or something like that..
May be it was because i use Atom Life White Limited Edition..
But I prefer using Opera Mini...very fast n stable...opening friendster, facebook, livescore, live betting, e-mail..and i hv no problem with that...
Help to access the 6.1 ROM as the USER name does not work?
I have tried to download the ROM with NO success, maybe it is down and N/A anymore? Can anyone lend a hand here as I have tried the PDAVIET Username and password and nothing happens?

I installed almost all ROMS on my O2 Atom Life. But every ROM had one or two major problems though rest of the builtin softwares worked well.
Just 10 Minutes before writing this post I uninstalled 6.5 Beta 7 and re-installed PDAVIET ROM WM6.1 20753 by TranMinhMan which was working well before I installed 6.5. 6.5 was working well and all the features were good but its powerhogger. I tried almost all tweaking with it using ACT or custom registry settings, but nothing worked. Finally I decided to install PDAVIET WM6.1 20753 by TranMinhMan.

I tried to cook a 1.30.482.1 greek rom with Da_G's 23563 roll-up but had some allignment issues. Is everything in yours ok?
Also where can I find tha "phcanrc.dll" file?
I used :
- osKitchen Zero V1.31 beta1 ;
- The official HTC MEGA WM6.5 french rom file ;
- The Da_G's rollup.
- A moded Phcanrc.dll, from here
Works fine. Only issues till now (but need testers and feedback) :
- The slider appearing in the right of the phone dialer (issue corrected with phcanrc) ; (Or you can try the shareware phonex - google it -) ;
- As you can see in the right upper corner of my home screen, the date and the quickmenu icon are superposed. For that issue i've found the workaround here, but I didn't use it yet.

that with the qiuckmenu and the time is not a problem...in the original wwe htc toch 2 1.28 europea version there is a way to deactivate the clock in the taskbar....but i cant remember for the moment

I would like to ask you for something, it would be great if any cooker could create a rom to open youtube videos direcly from the navigator Internet Explorer like Nokser´s Rom : Ultra_ProEditiom_WM_®__CE_OS_5.2_23569_-_Build_23569, using the Drivers from navigator GPS of Feropont : TG01_Lite_23129_WWE.CE OS: 5.2.23129 that work without needing Franson GpsGate and if it is possible and in my opinion the great idea of Milrog to free Ram in his Rom miROM4 RetroClassic ClearROM 96 MB free like WM 6.1 but with OS 6.5.5. For Play YoutubeVideos dirctly from Browser use the newest OPERA 10 with Flash- plug in- it works on all ROM´S. GPS o.k. or try GPSMODdriver (free) from my CaBs Collection. ....and install all on my RetroClassic ClearROM- then enjoy!
