1.72 ans serial Bluetooth

I have a self developed application which communicates from MDA2 to Nokia phone over serial connection.
With 2 older Mda ( 1.60) it works great.
Now i have a new onw with 1.72 Rom.
Here often signal are not detected from MDA and must given 2 second time.
Also a disconnection by closing the app on MDa wasn wasnt detected
by phone.
1 time when i closed the app from Settings/memory/running programs
it works instead but nwasnt shown.
Anybody has same problems with new MDA2?
Downgrade?
Or only change Bluetooth with older versions?
Its a crap with the serial BT connection.
A simple terminaprogram tty.exe doesnt work on new mda.
On ROm 1.60 its OK.
Checkboxes for DSR DCD and Ring are blinking all the time.
I can sent data but cant receive.
What app on MDA2 is working all the time to the serial port,
and so blocks incoming data ??
have you tried of installing the vidcomm bluetooth stack solve it?
or maybe the bluetooth tools (not sure if they work with 1.72 though)
I installed that widcomm :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=widcomm
can pair my Nokia6230 with MDA2 but cant make a connection from Nokia to MDA2.
with VB.Net program CFSerialTerm
I get with 1.72 always the repaeting the error:
TXFULL oder TXPARITY
it must be an error in new ROM.

Having problems connecting BT-R920 receiver with wizard bluetooth

I have a rebadged BT-R920 from semsons and i'm having trouble connecting it to wizard's bluetooth. The wizard recognizes the receiver but doesn't actually connect. a blinking blue light on the receiver should indicate the connection of the bluetooth but yeh nothing. anyways if anyone has this figured out i would appreciate it very much. thanks
in the bluetooth device page, theres a question mark icon and i made sure to use it as serial port.
Dont you need a subscription/service plan to use that?

Ive got a question mark icon near my BT receiver too, but it doesn't affect anything. The blinking blue light just means that the receiver is pumping a bluetooth signal not meaning it's connected though.
In Comm Menu open:
Settings/Bluetooth Settings/COM Ports/New Outgoing Port (use COM7 listed w/ receiver)
COM6 is for Incoming Port(nothing will be listed w/ it)
Open your GPS software and make sure that it lists COM7 as the COM Port, Baud Rate 4800. Happy Trails

TyTN + TTN6 issue

Hi!
I'm still having problems conencting the 'TomTom Wireless GPS MkII' to the TyTN using TTN6 (tried both, 6.01 and 6.02).
Current ROM is 1.35.255.2 (11/14/06) installed with and without Ext. ROM, the BT pair is properly configured and attached to COM0 (Secure Connection 'on').
After starting TTN6 the map points to my Home position (the only position it knows) and remains disabled (gray). The GPS receiver is in sync (green led flashing) but BT indicator (blue led) remains solid and TTN6 says...
After various tweaks I found the possible cause... The Phone (2G) should be on when starting TTN6, if not the BT radio doesn't sync...
Comm Manager, GSM 'off', BT 'on': TTN6 doesn't work (GPS status is blank),
Comm Manager, GSM 'on', BT 'on': TTN6 works (GPS status grayed or active).
Can anyone confirm this issue? Tnx.
Try creating a COM0 port with security off
I am running TT6 and have used both a Tomtom GPS Mk II unit and one of the cheaper alternative brand of GPS units too.
I did have to set up a port for the non-Tomtom unit on COM4 but for the Tomtom GPS Mk II I didn't have to, all I had to do was pair it.
Try deleting the COM0 that you have set up so there are no COM ports set up for the Tomtom Unit and see if that helps. Also, in the beam settings, if 'Receive all incoming beams' is unticked, tick it.
Hope this helps.

[Q] Bluetooth Pairing issues

Hi all,
in our business, we use software to print to blutooth connected printers. The newer version of these printers pairs and connects correctly. The older version (older BT Firmware) of the printer has issues reconnecting. The printer pairs and prints OK, but once the printer is turned off then on again, it does not reconnect. When I try to print, the phone comes up with a message in the notification bar asking for the pairing password (12345). This needs to be entered before printing can happen.
Does anyone know how this 'user input' can be avoided? We have had 1 developer look at it and he has been unable to find a solution.
We are unable to update the firmware on the printer.
Essentially we need a routine to watch for a 'pairing password' request (in the notification bar) and auto-enter '12345 OK'.
Is this possible?
Thank you

[Q] Remove default GPRS network

Hi All
I have an ex T-Mobile HTC HD2 running windows 6.5 and connected to O2.
Mostly everything works fine except . . . . .
When I try to download an MMS message the phone tries to use the T-Mobile network and as this is not set up, it doesn;t work.
It tries to use t-Mobile even when connected to wifi
I have tried getting onto the network manager but all the T-Mobile settings are greyed out. and there is no option to delete the entry (edit, press and hold gives no options).
Network manager is set to use O2 (Connect to internet and Private network)
So, please, how do I get rig of T-Mobile and default to O2.
I presume it some registry hack?
TFAI
Try downloading & install this connection settings tool by HTC >
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=565785&d=1302516709
Once installed it will have a shortcut link in Settings, Connections, Connection Setup
Run it & choose country 'UK' & network provider 'O2' *be sure choose postpay or prepay*
It should load all setting including MMS.
If have issues post back for more help.
Another good option would be debranding your HD2 with either standard generic HTC ROM or Custom ROM such as Energy, links can be found in HD2 Wiki > http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_HD2#ROM_Development
Thanks for that.
Sadly not a huge success. cab downloaded and installed.
Run, reset, set up connection, reset etc
Eventually Settings, Connections, Connection Setup select O2 postpay and another restart just in case
Then
Wireless Controls, Data Connection, but it wont conect. (Slider wont go green)
Wifi Conection greyed out.
Total mess.
Back to Conection Setup and check but its set to UK, O2 postpay
I have Data Controller installed but that allows all O2 (MMS postpay and mobile web)
At least I could access the www before
How do I get out of this mess
TFAI
I would try removing data controller as that has some known issues of messing up the connection settings in registry.
I use GB-SOFT GPRS UMTS tweak which auto disconnects gprs when not used (set time to zero).
So in review >
remove Data controller & soft reset
Go into Settings>Connections>Connections>select 'manage existing connections' & delete any settings remaining
re-run Connection Setup & see if works !
I've never had trouble on provider roms such as T-Mobile so assume will be messy registry problem.
If no joy, post again & I will try dig up a guide & settings for O2 for manually trying input GPRS & MMS.
Good fix would be Custom WM6.5.5 such as one in my signature.
hhhmmm struggling. I can find no sensible way of uninstalling the Data controller. There is no entry on the list of programs to uninstall and I cant identify a directory.
There is a shortcut that points to \Windows\DataController.exe but is removing the program enough?
Good news is that I can Wireless stuff now works (My fault, I had forgotten they dont work when usb is connected to PC) So the only problem is MMS. Mor efiddling around, reran the HTC thing. Deleted an old connection and reboote a couple of times and eventually it worked.
And they call this a science!!
Thanks for you help
^ So is MMS now working !
If not I will post a manual MMS settings guide I have for WM6.5 somewhere.
Just removing the datacontroller.exe wouldn't be enough really, what really wanted is registry for it removed.
From your comments sounds like was mainly dirty connection settings in registry.
Data & MMS connections can be bit of a pain in WM6.5 but once learned manually or if the htc connections settings tool works perfectly they are better than android or iphone for flexibility & control.
