Strangest Problem Ever!!!! - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

I'm currently facing the strangest problem with my himalaya ever since i bought it 1.5 ago.
I upgraded 2 weeks ago to the WM2005 edition. everything was smooth and fine until today. i decided to do a normal reset so that i can "Refresh" the memory. after the reset the startup screen showed up as usual. then the screen went white (or black after the backlight turned off).
nothing on the screen what so ever.
I tried to do a hard reset (to reformat the rom) but my attempt failed. actually the files on the rom were NOT erased.
I thought to myself , reinstalling the WM2005 rom from my pc would do the trick. i connected the device after putting it in (USB) mode (pressed power+ Reset+ DPAD).
twenty minutes passed as usual and it showed the congratulations screen. i did a hard reset again and again the same problem (it didnt even erase the rom).
I then downloaded version 1.75 rom from buzzdev, did the procedure again, it did install and format this time correctly , but still i'm getting the blank screen after the startup screen.
Note: the phone is fully functional in the background, i recieved calls and sms's without being able to see anything. it seems like a screen problem, but the initial startup screen is showing so that doesnt make any sense..
any help ppl is really really appreciated !!!

XDA 2 Freezing on Boot Screen...Please Help

I have no idea what's going on with my XDA II. I have not done anything to modify or upgrade it recently. But suddenly the phone froze one day. I tried doing a soft reset but the phone just shut off. Kept pushing power button but nothing worked.
I then tried a hard reset which didn't work either. I finally just removed the battery and the sim card and then replaced them. My phone finally booted up and went through the standard hard reset sequence. I restored my backup information into the phone. Later on it froze again...with the same problem.
I finally got my phone working, but it freezes almost everytime I try to do something. When i do a reset, whether hard or soft, I get stuck at the boot screen with nothing happening. I reset it about 8 or 9 times before i get back into the phone and go through the intro to WM2003 again.
When i do get in, i can maybe make a call or two before the phone freezes up again. Don't know what to do, but really confused. I was going to contact o2 because the phone is still under warranty. However, I have upgraded to the TMobile 1.6 rom.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this please let me know. If not, does anyone have the original o2 rom that I could get a hold of? Thanks for all the help in advanced.
Does the phone freeze after you restore backup or does it do it even when you use it from scratch after hard reset?
It freezes no matter what. Most of the time, it'll refuse a hard reset. I would reset it, hard reset it and the phone will just load up on the Tmobile screen and stay there. Sometimes i'll get that circle thing that shows the phone is doing a process...but it'll go in circles forever.
Sometime down the line it'll actually let me through. Then i'd do the whole WM2003 intro again.
So to answer that question, it's not only on my restore, the phone consistently freezes up.
Looks like it's time to avail of the warranty and have your phone replaced.
I know, but in order to do that I have to get the original rom because i'm on tmobile 1.6 rom.
Mate, did you try to reinstall the 1.6 rom? Maybe download the latest ROM version and try to install it from your dead device...
My phone is just freezing on the boot screen and sometimes i can actually get in and use the phone for a while. Does this still constitute it as dead?
Since I can't get past the boot screen most of the time, I can't connect the phone to the computer to install the 1.6 rom again.
However, I did get past the boot screen once and did manage to sync it with my computer and reinstall the 1.6 rom. No help...same problem...
Ok, i finally got in and managed to update the rom to the new O2 rom. Everything was working fine for a long time. I used the phone and no problems. I left the phone on the sync cradele over night and by morning the phone was frozen. Reset and getting stuck at boot again...
ANyone have any ideas?
i also get this problem.
I have found many ppl got this problem, but no one has solution.
so what is everyone doing about it?

My tytn found a new way of dying - HELP!

Hi,
yes - I've read ALL the dead tytn posts and followed all Wiki options but not describe my situation.
I was having a perfectly stable Tytn for the past few weeks, didn't install anything, used it daily with no issues.
Yesterday I decided to reboot to clean the mem a bit (God knows why) and after the restart it simply came on with a blank screen.
The screen shows nothing and the backlight turns on but nothing.
I tried to put it in flash mode and yet the screen remains blank - nothing.
Took the battery out for an hour back in - dead screen.
Did a hard reset - still dead screen.
Tried a sd flash method - still nothing showed.
I even took it apart to check the cables - all in place nothing shows damage or issues or even dirt.
It doesn't show a thing no matter what I try,
ActiveSync is not connecting and all rom flashers fail to connect (error 260).
Tried mtty but didn't get the usb> prompt (just cmd>)
The wierd part is that it still recieves calls from time to time.
Did anyone face this or know of any solutions?
PLEASE HELP! This is so sad...

the cmd> prompt means its in bootloader.
question is... have you put Hard-SPL on this device.
Hi,
Thanks for replying.
Yes I did - I've put your outstanding hard-spl 2.10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722) on it and it worked great.
Can I use the CMD to somehow re-flash or do something else?
You think it's software related?

use the proven process of elimination, have you installed something recently?
a Manila Mod, or tweak? I hope you have a backup of everything essential
on your device, as it may that you need to HR
maybe its only a dead sd card..
take out sdcard, sim card and battery for a few minutes and reinsert only the battery and try to boot up...
if this doesnt work, you'll need an hard reset..
so i kept resttiing until it booted up. then i saw these posts and decided to restart the phone and it doesnt work again. so i reset again an pressed the talk button then it went to the launching sense screen. me being a gambler i reset it again and it stalled again until i hit the talk button. now i reset it a couple of more times and its back to loading normal on its own. im only stating everything i did just in case someone else might come across this problem at some time. thanks for you guys quick response and help
Try a full reinstall using the flashaholic app that does a full OS ROM format, also backup any files on the SD card and reformat that too and see what happens.
I should add that the full "task 29" format thing probably wont work well unless you have HSPL installed (otherwise you have to first install a stock ROM, then SSPL install your custom ROM; kind of defeats the point of the full format!)

[Q] HD2 won't boot, won't hard reset, won't show bootloader.

Have been running Artemis v311 NO and Android from SD card for about two weeks. All fine. Yesterday the phone started rebooting by itself when running Artemis. I've made no changes to the phone after installing Artemis two weeks ago.
Now it wont boot at all, screen shows "please wait, loading" Have tried both soft and hard reset but none of those works. (I get no response when holding down the keys)
Have tried to get an usb connetion to flash a new image but without luck.
Is it time to get a new phone or is it possible to fix this...???

Black/white striped boot screen

Hi all,
Yesterday I was playing Angry Birds (in Android), when screen turned black and my HD2 started to make a buzzing noise. I took the battery out, and since then my won't boot. When I turn on my phone I only get the white HTC bootscreen, wich is white/black striped, and it doesn't boot any further. I included a photo of the boot screen.
I already tried multiple hard resets, no effect .
Ouch.......
Can you get to bootloader.......?
(hold vol down while turning it on)
If so, is that black n white striped too??
take the sd card out too, the one evening i tried android it all went bad and i had to hard reset, and it refused to work with the sd in.
I tried hard reset without sd card a couple of times, but nothing changed.
Bootloader works, without stripes. I already tried to flash the stock rom. I put the stock nbh file, renamed to LEOIMG.nbh, on a FAT-32 formatted sd-card, but when I started the phone in bootloader (vol down+power), the "loading" screen dissapeared as quick as it showed up and the phone got back in bootloader mode (4 color screen)..

that usually means a mistake with teh card size, formatting, nbh file or something.
I tried 2 different sd cards now, 1gb and 4gb, both did the same.
I'm going to sleep now, i'll try some custom ROM nbh-files tomorrow, hope that wil work.
Tried a few custom ROM's, all didn't work.
I'm starting to think about sending my HD2 to HTC, but I'm not sure if they can fix it. I've lost my warranty since there's Cotulla's HSPL installed, but I can't get it uninstalled because my HD2 won't install nbh-files.
I know I'm going to have to pay for this, but I rather pay than having a bricked phone.
no need to flash .nbh to remove hspl, , just run hspl.exe in bootloader and choose stock spl.
