I then changed to WMse 2.20CHS (non-translated). I cannot installed programs in the storage card as it reads ???
I used explore on active sync.4 and it cannot read the storage card which also appears as ???
How to instal programs on storage card in this WMse 2.20 chs?

If I am not wrong, you should be seeing alot of ?? or ??? in your desktop when explore your device, reason for not able to install to your card is you need to have a chinese translation software like Chinese Star XP, I am using it on my PPC as I have XDA2s (Eng) and XDA2 (CHS). When I need to install to card, I will activate Chinese Star XP before activate Activesync, I am using even BT sync, no issue at all.
If you have Chinese Star, you will see Storage Card in Chinese rather then ???.

WM se 2.20.07CHS translated- only keyboard working in imput
Since I flashed to the above rom a few months ago at the imput panel only the KEYBOARD is working
Although I installed Wordlogic, Penwise Recognizer and Calligrapher--all these does not work except the keyboard
Can a kind person please help me as to how to have the othe imput methods like letter recognizer back??????????

I think ExtROM is also an important part of upgrading the phone's ROM because I think from what I have read that it makes it possible to use certain provider functions so I am looking for where to get the ExtROM version 2.11.255.105 so that I can have certain functions on my TyTN. I am planning to upgrade my WM5 to WM6 and would also like to be able to write special characters for my language for example, å,ä, ö and so on. Does anyone know where & how I can get that?
Or does anyone think this ExtROM could be extracted from my previous ROM? I could send my WM5 ROM-2.11.255.2 if it could be extract

Thanks for the link but the extended rom im looking for isnt there... could it be possible to extract it from my present ROM? I want to install it after upgrading with the 838Pro_HK_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712 ROM.
Do you think I can use special characters like å,ö,ä when I install that 838Pro_HK_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712 ROM?

Sorry fore delaying. Yes u can flash your ExtRom to Wm6.
Yes u can still typing ö ä å but u must have an extra file. install this file witch is fore Nordic hard kbd. Actually u can install it on SD If u want 1.8Mb. U can find the Finish input “dictionary” and T9 text inputif u searching good

I think the Extended_ROM you are looking for is from the last HTC WM5 build; I have it at home and could post it in about 3 hours.
I have attached the Extended_ROM from the WWE HTC ROM 2.11.255.102 WM5.

I was looking through the wiki of shipped roms for another reason and noticed this footnote at the bottom:

As topic. This is a tread for Chinese users. I have tried many input methods that really work for my ATOM for the new ATOM WM6 AKU0.3.0 WWE. It seems that almost many of the Chinese input software is NOT fully working with these WWE vesion.
Software that I've tested:
- CESTAR 2.8 R3A (not working, will freeze O2 and need hard reset)
- Monster Chinese 6.0 (not stable)
- A4 SIP (A4_QVGA_v2.0.14.CAB) works well but only Simplify Chinese
- A4 SIP (A4_QVGA_v2.0.30.CAB) cannot call input method
- CE-Star_Big5C works ONLY on CHT device.
- Q9PPC(9方) WM6 NOT stable
- ChinaFEP_No5en.zip cannot call input method
Guys, if you found some input method that fits working, please share with us.

The attached is working for me at the moment but i still prefer Plum 5.0.2 as it support T9 Eng Plus T9 style Pinyin. Hopefully someone can get it to work with Atom WM6!!

I am amazed by this new wonderful Rom by JIGGS. I've been looking for a Chinese input method for 2 days now and only the one posted in this thread works for me now. I went to read the post by Jiggs about CHT ROM but that is not what I am looking for. I just need a CHS input method that support T9 PinYin.

ZTA4 Chinese T9 Pinyin is supported in AKU0.7
I TESTED it and its working fine concurrently with phonepad.
Let wait Jiggs to release it then i will post it here.
isn't it PlumSIP5 cannot support in WM6 AKU0.3.0 ? becoz i try to install it , but at the same i can't read chinese . i also have a same need with agboa , so agboa , do u mind 2 share with me wht u do on ur ppc to view CHS words and input pinyin. thanks a lot ~

I had a problem with the version of 128dpi i get here. Its just for english device is written. I test it - it looks very nice - but it works not corectly. I have SPB Diary and Pocket Plus on my Ameo ( T-Mobil Ameo with orig. HTC ROM WM6 German) and when i switch to 128 dpi the Pocket Plus is not shown on the today screen. And also some Icons and Texts are also not cor. shown.
Can anyone help me - me and my german ROM from HTC - with 128dpi mode.
I just want that, the 96 is too smal for me.

I successfully dumped the English ROM off my Touch Dual today. I would suggest the following:
1. Find one of the more experienced cooks who would be willing to take the WWE dump I uploaded and make an NL version of it
2. Find out if and how the Touch Dual can be flashed with custom ROMs (I don't believe any of us have tried)

but if you have dumped a rom ... you cant flash it back to a device! you must wait for a jumpspl, hardspl or sspl version.

I cant dump the rom. When I try to check the partition size, all four partitions have the values:
real nr of sectors: 1 - 512.00byte (0x200)
So I'm stuck at dumping the rom.....
Maybe I've done something wrong?

I also tried a lot of cabs, reg. changes etc, but always the same problem. I'am able to get the Dutch library working, but de Touch Dual acts like a 20 button device.
Well, there must be some intelligent humanbeing here on xda-dev who can solve our problems .
I think cooking a Perfect rom (Dutty's Style) is WAY more difficult than this little problem... Anyone got the solution?

if you follow the steps in this topic, you will be able to enable the dutch XT9 on your WWE device, I did so too. in the post below mine, you'll find the neccersary (<- I hate that word, I can't spell it right ) files.

Chinese 128MB ROM for Cingular 3125
Chinese 64MB Rom for others
Chinese T9 Only Input for WM6: non XT9 for chinese

Is it possible the file to be smaller ? I flashed the WM6 and i only get roughly about 11MB of phone memory, which is not sufficient to install that even i select to install on storage card, or is there anyway i can install it without going thru phone memory ?

it have a reg.txt , I change some reg setting in my s300 than t9chinese function appeared!
