I have solder the fuse one month ago...and works fine...now after charge in my car the Wallaby stay´s off...try to solder the fuses again...but nothing.
Is my Wallaby dead?
I follow this steps and nothing:

maybe fuse blow becouse of incorect voltage, when you replaced fuse (with other, maybe big value,or wire, this wouldn't blow but do other damage on power part of device.try with other charged battery maybe problem is only on charging part but too few chances to be only charging par damaged.

By a mistake I charged my Qtek 1010 with a 12V car charger yesterday and now it won't charge. Can I fix this on my own or do I have to send it in for service?
Please help me, I'm running out of battery! Only 30% left.

You will need a circuit tester to trace the charging circuit and to see how much of it is cooked, if you send it for repair I think they may want to charge you for a complete main board which isnt worth doing. Do you have any guarantee. How did you "accidentally" plug a car charger into it? The car charger has a lighter jack, so did you apply the bare wires of an xda cable to the battery charger? That was not a good idea.
I did not apply the bare wires to the battery charger I'm not THAT stupid ]
My car charger was broken and i replaced the the plug with one from my broken Arkon car cit. I just found out that it was 12V.
I have no quarantee since it is over one year since I bought it.

Hi,
I am having trouble with my StarTrek. It is pretty much unused, bought it straight when it came out but only used it for 1-2 months because I then got a phone from work. I reciently tried to start using it again just because I was a bit bored. But the phone refused to start, I originally thought it was the battery so I ordered a new one and got it. Phone started up straight away when I put it in as it came precharged at 40%. But the phone refuses to charge when I plug the USB cable in. I get no LED light or indicator in WM5 that it is charging.
So I checked the USB cable with a multi meter and there is defiently 5v being supplied. I opened up the phone and measured the board when the charged was plugged in, I found both 5v points and ~3.7-4v points on the board. The positive point of the 4 connectors which connects to the battery outputs 1v when the battery is plugged in (~0.3v when no battery is plugged in) so it would appear that the battery is charging right? Or should I be seeing 3.7v here?
charging issue
these phones are notorious for the micro usb connector to come loose from the main board, once it does there is nothing you can do with it.
My advice is if you plan on keeping the phone by a dual charger off of eBay for about 20 bucks, it has a built in battery charger, then you can simply swap out your batteries as you should now have 2 good batteries cause my guess is that your original battery is still good.
other possibility is to buy a trashed 3125 (bad lcd, etc) off of eBay and hope that you get one with a good charging port and board, then swap out the board, fairly easy swap.
I ended up buying one of the £70 new pink qtek 8500 from expansys and then I took off the black cover from my old one and swapped with the pink one. I now have a phone to play with wm6.1
When i charge my htc and put the cable in the phone i have to lift the charging cable the end bit slightly before it starts charging otherwise it dosent charge
well its pretty obviously gonna be the cable or the socket, got a spare cable or a friend with one? maybe a phone shop will let you try one?
i have a generic cable that has started doing that whilst my normal cable doesn't.
its not the cable my dad has the same phone and it works fine im thinking a bent pin, how much could it cost to fix
very expensive to fix - normaly its a new board, you may be better off buying a battery charger on ebay and just swopping out the batteries when needed, its a rubbish solution but its a warranty fail imho
try giving the socket a detailed clean with a toothbrush, maybe a careful poke with a toothpick (howls of "noooo" from the purists), focus not so much on the pins but build up of dust dirt at the bottom.
helped for some people with usb issues before.
Hey all i am wondering if it will do just fine if i hook up the USB 5v/gnd to the pins on the back where the battery pins would go?
On the battery itself it says:
(4 pins )
HTML:
[][][][]
- +
However, the battery is rated 3.8vdc so i wanted to make sure it wouldn't blow something giving it 5v in that area.
And i am guessing the first 3 pins are all ground pins? And the last (4th) pin is the positive?
you will not burn it, because battery on 100% is 4,3 V. But i think it will not work, cause battery has electronics on 3rd and 4th pins
You cannot just apply current to the battery directly. It has to go through the charging circuitry of the phone first. Otherwise, you will blow up the battery.
I'm not also keeping the battery there. There will be no battery hooked up at the same time.
well, as i said it will not damage the phone, but phone will not work. Try, if you have time
i know it worked on sonyericsson T100
Hi Guys,
my Le Max 2 isn´t charging after a water damage. I already replaced the battery and the dock connector. I tried more than one new battery. The phone recognize the power cable and show that is charging but stuck on the same state (also after hours with different power adapters). next I tried a new dock connector without success.
My Computer recognize the phone normally.
Is there any other spare part to replace? Any Idea? Is it a damaged resistor? Do anyone know the affected part on the logic board?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Tobi
