I am already reg. with I-mate as owner of one of it products, I got informations from them say that new room will be avilable soon it is ver. 1.66 for XDA II maybe next few days, and the windows Ver. is Windows 2003 SE
at all when I got the link to download it I will publish the link for everyone, Thank you for everyone published that great support using XDA II and XDA. it was great help to me to came very expert in solving problems to my XDA and XDAII
as my profile say then
i have
RUU 1.66.00WWE
RSU 1.10
on my qtek2020 it came with that
as far as i can tell it's not 2003 SE
specs
ROM version: 1.66.00WWE
ROM date> 02/20/04
Radio version 1.10.00
protocol version 1337.18
extOM version 1.66.140
I published what I already read in I-mate forum, I didn't have it yet ...... by the way all new edditions of XDAII coming with v. 1.66
so Rudegar
as it is getting really stressy to have the latest release... ;-)
do you have any ideas about the improvements with your
1.66.00 ROM over the 1.60.00
Alex
hmm, can you post a copy of your rom?
you can copy the rom with pmemdump from itsutils.
well it had that rom when i got it so i cant really compare it with 1.60 since i went from a xda1
i'll look into drumping the rom
but it does seem to have some auto settings and such for
some phone company
usually the phone company specific stuff is in the extended rom.
itsme:
usually the build number is just the ExtROM right? example, the latest tmobile rom i saw in the other thread had 1.60.36, but the os was simply 1.60.00, and the radio was 1.10.00, and the extrom was 1.60.36
does that mean that IF we extract whatever newest rom that comes out in the future and see that it has the same osrom ver and radio stack, merely upgrading the ExtROM is the best way to go?
I mean i know people prefer to only flash the ExtROM, but that's because they want to cook something up. But what if you just want to upgrade and not waste time with the OS if you see they still have the same number, does it HAVE to come hand in hand to upgrade? Or could you just bypass the others and upgrade the ExtROM and expect it to perform like a real update?
yes, that is what I usually do.
On the O2 website (http://www.o2.co.uk/productsservices/xda/romupgrade) is download for the following upgrade :
Phone Upgrade (v4.21) and Operating System Upgrade (v3.17.03)
I've only had my phone for about 3 months. The Pocket PC Version of my XDA is 4.20.0 (Build 13252). ROM Vers = 1.60.00WWE
ROM Date = 13/03/03
Radio Vers = 1.10.00
ExtROM = 1.60.45
Protocol Vers = 1337.18
I don't fancy having to resinstall all the apps I've put on the PDA all over again. Also, don't fancy things going wrong during upgarde.
Any comments or advise please.
Thanks
:?: :?: :?:
That is the upgrade for xda1.
Do you mean the upgrade I'm referring to in the link is to upgrade XDA 1 and therefore I don't know to upgrade mine?
Why, then, have O2 put it up as an upgrade on the XDA 2 site web page?
Confused
http://www.xda-2.co.uk/downloads/xda2_upgrade.html
i dont think o2 have an 1.66 upgrade out yet
maybe they are skipping it for a later rom version
Rudegar - based on what you're saying, I may as well wait until the 1.66 release is promoted by O2. Would you agree?
Judging from the ROM Vers (1.60.00.wwe) & Radio Vers (1.10.00) that my XDA is already on, am I likely to be okay if I were to try to use bluetooh? I've not used bluetooth with my device yet, but I may want to in the future.
Advice much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have Qtek 2020
I'm total newbie in pocket pcs
Windows Mobile 2003
ROM version 1.72.00WWE
Radio version 1.14.00
Protocol version 1337.24
ExtRom version 1.72.752
Can i upgrade it to 5.0, 6.0 or 6.5 WM??? Anyway, what can i upgrade to have better mobile)))
Want to use Spb programms.
need help
p.s Sorry for my english.
I think
i think u cant do enything enymore coz wm5 and 6 is not supported.
yes you can upgrade it to wm6.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538212
but not an official rom though
your current rom was the last official one for 2020
I´ve got a Himalaya with an actual WM6.5 Custom Rom
It looks nice and is fast and stable....
but be careful on choosing the Rom,a lot of Spb Programms should Installed
on the Main Storage- a Lot of the newer ROMs have only 14mb Main Storage
(thats because of Switching the Main Storage from RAM to the Flash Disk,RAM Data disappear if the Battery is empty,Flash is non volatile,)
IMPORTANT!!!TAKE THE TIME (!!!!!) AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO FLASH THE DEVICE ,TO AVOID UNNECESSARY BRICKING!
I think 70 Percent of the People which Killed their device
didn´t read the instructions clearly!
It´s always difficult to flash your first rom (yeah...good old times)
but....just stay cool and calm....and read read read DOOD!
