URGENT HELP: XDA II and 1GB SD card problem - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Dear All,
I recently bought a Sandisc 1GB SD Card for the XDA II (Himalaya) and ever since then, (in a span of about 2 weeks); my phone had to be hard reset 6 times! Is there anyway to prevent this or any solution to this problem? I have been using a 128MB card for nearly 1.7 years in the XDA and never had even one hard reset but suddenly after changing cards, I have had this problem. Would greatly appreciate any solution/idea/suggestion. Thank you.
Cheers, Vikas.

[Q] SD Card unexpected removal?

Hey Guys,
My HTC Legend about 1 year and a half old now is always saying that my SD Card has been unexpectedly removed. It is 16GB Sandisk HC class 4, I've tried this with 2 16GB Sandisk MicroSDHC Class 4 but the same problem arises. Now when i use the card i was given with my phone it works perfectly fine it is 2GB SanDisk MicroSD.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
I experienced the same problem until i got root. Two weeks now running CM7 without any SD-incidents.
Most of the times the unexpected removal appeared on my Legend was at times of heavy writing and reading to/from the SD-card.

You still have access to your files via PC, right? If so, copy all stuff to your PC and try to reformat the SDCARD afterwards. Google for "sd formatter panasonic", should give you the tool I used. Options: quick format; format size adjustment OFF
Good luck

SD Card dismounting constantly

So I am having a problem where my Sandisk 32GB MicroSD card is getting dismounted from the phone. It gives me an error message like "SD card has been removed. Please use the Safely Eject SD card option to prevent data loss" or something like that. Then, it finds the card and runs the media scan, which renders my card useless for that time period. The screen also turns on for a minute or so during this time. Then it stays mounted for maybe up until 5 minutes before starting over again.
This absolutely rapes my battery, taking it from a full charge to dead battery in less than two hours. I thought maybe the SD card was going bad even though it's fairly new, so I took it out and tried it on my old Motorola smartphone, and it works fine and never dismounts. So I thought perhaps it's something with my phone, so I tried an older 8GB micro SD, and it works fine without dismounting at all.
Some info. Phone is running stock 4.0.4 with root and unlocked bootloader. The 32GB SD card worked fine for maybe 3 months until this problem suddenly started. Any ideas?

It's behaving like mine did when the SD card croaked. 32GB SanDisk here as well...first SD card I've ever had die on me. I was able to get it to read, one time, on my TF101 to rescue my photos...now it won't read anywhere. I'm not sure what to tell you, except that I'd back that card up pronto, just in case...

Yeah, it was a somewhat common issue for a few of us about 4 months ago. I know blenkows and I both had it happening a lot. For me it eventually went away, not sure what the deal was, there.

This
My SD card wouldn't stop doing it. I just gave with it. Uploaded all my music to Google Play, put the 16 GB card that the phone came with in there. All is well now. Haven't had a problem with the card in there yet but I rarely use it now anyways. Basically just there for backups

Well thanks for the responses, I already backed up the data that was on there. I can't find my receipt for it...any idea if Sandisk is good about replaced defective cards?
I went through four RMA replacement 64gb class 10 SanDisk cards, ate the $90 loss and spent $80 on the Samsung equivalent. It's faster and I have had zero problems with it. However, I used SanDisk cards for nearly a decade before those without any problems.
The SanDisk hi capacity cards seem to not work well in the lgog. They worked fine in my card readers, just not the lgog slot.

I also had this problem with a 32gb sandisk. I RMA'd it and it happens less frequently for the new one. I'd say it happens once every few weeks now instead.
It's your card. I haven't experienced this at all n I'm using a no name class 10 32gb card. I was looking scandisk card but luckily I read the reviews n they where all negative

Phone refusing all SD cards

Woke up this morning to find phone refusing sd card, rebooted, same issue. Tried card in other machine - card dead. Tried several cards known good & it returns card damaged on every one even formatted cards. Worth trying a hard reset or is the phone junk? Only month old or so, never been dropped. I'm fairly good with Android & this has me stumped..
Thanks in advance..

[Q] Partitioning an SDHC card without a card reader

I hope like heck this isn't posted somewhere else in the forum - I've only spent all afternoon searching, but sometimes.... Apologies if I missed something.
I successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Blaze phone, installed Titanium BackUp and now would like to send my app data to my nice 16GB SDHC card. The problem is, I can't get it partitioned probably because my laptop's card reader can't really read SDHC cards, even in adapters. It recognizes that the card is there, but then wants to format it and won't format it. I tried using the Mini Tools Partition Wizard, but each attempt failed, claiming I had a bad card. The card works beautifully in the phone, so I don't think that's the problem, especially since brand new cards get the same reaction.
Is there a way to partition the card from my phone? I have good reason to believe that my memory problems have a lot to do with the boatload of email I have saved in GMail, or the fact that Google+ somehow decided I really needed *all* of my photos on my phone, via Picasa (another source of angst and muttering).
Thanks for any help.
Most custom recoveries will allow you to partition SD cards

Games data not moving to SD card

Hi guys, I'm using Samsung Galaxy S3 16gb Rooted and I've downloaded few games and I got problem of memory low. So I've bought a 32gb sd card and I was trying to move them to SD card but they keep staying in my phone memory.
Please can anyone help me out?

Hi
for what I know, I think the games/apps are supposed to stay in phone memory, its not "possible" to move them to sd card. That said, I believe that there is some workaround, but I dont know myself to do it.
I guess there will be some answers from the people here that is more experienced than me
