upgrading to WM2003ROM jojoVer3.2zS - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

dear jojo,
I have been following this thread for quite some time. I already have WM2003SE working on my O2 XDA II which I did using Dr Stein's ROM upgrade method. I want to use yr extendedROM using the third method. I have down loaded the extracted jojoVer3.2zS for this. I want to know whether the original programms exinsting on my O2 XDA II e.g. contacts, Album, Excel, Word etc shall be deleted if I follow the instructions given by you mentioned as follows:-
For those who already been using WM2003SE 2.06.00WWE and Radio ROM 1.18.00:
1. Download the Extracted XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS
2. Extract the Content to your PC
3. Unhide and Unlock the Extended_ROM in you PPC
to Unhide -> Start->Programs->ExtROM Tools->ExtROM Unhide
to Unlock -> Start->Programs->ExtROM Tools->ExtROM Unlock
4. Make a soft Reset
5. Delete all files in Extended_ROM Folder of your PPC
or your cab files shall be added to the existing content?
:?: :?:
Thanx in advance

From 1.60 Dangaard to a O2 1.60.50

I try to install the upgrade, but my gorgeus love tell me that "there is a country error"
Can someone help me?
Bye
Download the O2 ROM update file and decompress it in a folder using Winrar. Copy the attached files in the folder containing the O2 files (some files will be overwritten) and run "convert_t2.bat" to convert the files.
To update your unit, launch HimaUpgradeUt.exe : no more country_ID error
Don't forget to hard reset your unit after the update!

Adding Commercial Applications into Extended ROM

Hi,
Im sorry if this has been discussed in earlier topics. Im wondering if its possible to include commercial applications such as SPB Pocket Plus, Pocket Informant etc... , into the extended ROM ? - this way you don't have to install them again in case of a hard reset. If it is possible , can someone please specify the details ....
Thanks.
you can add any application to the extended ROM if you have the CAB(s) file of the installation.
First, you should unlock and unhide the extended ROM using the required tools from this forum. Then add your cab file to the extended ROM, and modify the file named "Config.txt" by adding the new cab file name among the rest of cab files. After that, you should lock and hide the extended ROM back.

Thank for the reply. However - most commercial applications such as those mentioned on my original post do not come in single cab files. They are usually come in single installation .exe files/
Any ideas ?
Check your applications installation directory or the 'Program files/Microsoft Activesync/yourprogram' for the CAB files.
and often exe install files for pocketpc
can just be renamed to zip and you can open them and copy out the cab
file you need

XDA II extended ROM Files List (WWE)

I have used a tool found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=8422&highlight=error+120
And I have erased all the files in the extended ROM of my XDA II.
Now I see some functions are no more available, like camera. Can someone please tell me what are ALL those files and which I erased?
Some of them are essential to XDA II proper functioning?
Clear VUE cab is clearly ClearVUE application, not essential to me.
But what about other apps?
2.
Now I have a backup in a SD card. How to re-install only essential files?
Do I need to edit "config.txt" ?
Which files do I need to copy into Extended ROM? Autorun.exe is necessary?
Thanks a lot

here is the list of content
Sorry
I forgot to attach the list of content of My XDAII's extended ROM
Thanks very much for any suggestions

Hi!
The functions of the various cab files can be found here:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16916&start=0
Yes, you have to edit your Config.txt according to the cab files installed in the EXT ROM and Storage.
You also need to edit your AutoConfig.txt file in accordance to the telcos installed in the EXTROM
The files you required to install will depend on your needs.

Who tell me? ;)

How add file cab to ROM?
?
What did you mean? Did you mean to add a cab file to ExtendedROM? There are 2 versions:
1.Unhide and unlock the ExtROM(using the ExtROM unlock tools) and reset your device. The Extended_ROM folder appears and is ready to transfer any files in both directions(while not unlocked-read only). Well this access is not working on my device-don't know why, cause in all materials it stands, that's possible.
2.Using the ER2003Edit tool in a PC and upgrade Extended ROM via bootloader(including hard-reset).
