Hi all,
I use Dropbox to syncronize some files between my PCs and my android phone. The problem is that the files are downloaded in the phone's SDCARD which is unsafe. So I've been searching ... and didn't found an app available on PC AND Android that is able to crypt and decrypt files.
Somebody knows something about that ? I imagine a lot of people need this kind of functionality ....
thanks in advance.

I am trying to get Privoxy running on my Samsung Galaxy S II. I tried installing Privoxy (BETA 1) from the market, but could not get it to run.
First, I noticed that when starting the app, it copies the binaries and config files to the /data/data/com.galoula.Privoxy directory. But apparently it didn't set the directory permissions correctly, because all the files ended up being 0 bytes. I re-created all the directories with full permissions, and then the binaries and configs seemed to copy correctly.
However, when I try to start the app, I still get the message "Unable to start Privoxy. Please try again!"
I also tried installing Orbot / Tor from the market, which uses a Privoxy/Tor combo. Privoxy seems to run just fine there. But I don't want to run Tor, just Privoxy. I thought maybe I could just edit the files so only Privoxy would load and not Tor, but I can't figure it out.
Anybody have Privoxy running successfully and can share some tips? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone.
I've started a few months ago to develop android apps. I have an apk and to redistribute it to the user, I mount and Ftp Server with the apk file, and with a button the user can connect to the ftp server and download it.
I have done this already, my problem comes when installing the apk, that the system send me the following message.
Error analysis
There was a problem parsing the package.
I think it could be the version of the SDK but if I'm running the app it has no sense.
I hope someone can help me.
Sorry for my English that I know that does not help explain very well
Best regards and Thanks
Hi all, I am trying to build android from source (Cyanogenmod) for my phone Sony Xpreia Pro (iyokan). I am following the instructions at wiki{DOT}cyanogenmod{DOT}org/w/Build_for_iyokan (I haven't posted a lot so I can't post URLs ). During my build I need to do one additional step. I need to pull the proprietary files from my device. This is where the problem comes in.
I found that there are 4 files which the extract-files.sh script cannot extract. This causes problem in the build process and the build process stops without completion. The files which the script cannot find are:
/system/bin/calibrator
/system/etc/firmware/wl1271-fw-multirole-roc.bin
/system/lib/libc2d2_z180.so
/system/lib/egl/libGLESv2S3D_adreno200.so
I found wl1271-fw-multirole-roc.bin at "/system/etc/firmware/ti-connectivity/" instead of "/system/etc/firmware/". Is it fine to modify the "proprietary-files.txt" to have this path instead of the "/system/etc/firmware/"? I am not sure if the functionality of both the files is same.
Also I found a file called "wlan_calibrator" instead of "calibrator" in the same location. I also found a file called libGLESv2_adreno200.so instead of libGLESv2S3D_adreno200.so
Would it be fine if I change the name in "proprietary-files.txt"? Again, I am not sure if the functionality of the other files is same. I couldn't find the file called "libc2d2_z180.so"
I really don't know what to do and would really appreciate if anyone could help me on what I should be doing.
Dear experts of XDA,
i am in the midst of a personal project. But i cant seem to clone an app call "Carousell", it can be found in google playstore. I already tried multiple means to create a clone apk out of it but to no avail.
Software that i tried are APK editor and advanced apk tool.
It either gives error such as "install_failed_conflicting_provider" or when i really managed to install the clone app, it crashes.
I already tried changing the values of the Package and the Ath provider.
Would really be very grateful if anyone can guide me through. Thanks alot experts!
