Hi guys I have a o2 XDA II mobile i did unlock it before which i was really happy, now i was trying to upgrade my Rom from the ftp ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Himalaya/ROM1.03/ file called: "XdaII_RUU10305ger_o2_de.rar" I have tried to install it then suddenly my device screen just went all black the only words on the screen is USB on top and the bottom says v1.06 .
I have tried to switch off and on took the battery off and on the message stills there dont know what to do i am desperate i think i have ****ed my phone.
Can anyone help please i really need help

As long as you can see on the screen Serial or USB it's not dead.
Download a good working ROM
I had the same problem last week and downloaded from the FTP Server from the xda-developers the following ROM:
Himalaya_T-Mobile_NL_1.75.903_eDsuBsofT
use an ftp client, and go to folder: /Himalaya/ROM_1.75
It's an English version and running great on my device

Rom version 1.75.00WWE
Radio 1.18.00

Hope anyone can help me - i' am still stuck - after trying and reading posts for 6 hours. i tried to flash the touch flo w6 rom on my charmer. activesync disconected during the flash proces. charmer does not start anymore - but i can get to bootloader screen.
But all roms i found and tried to flash need an activesync connection. could someone pls let me know how to flash from bootloader without active sync and where to find such a rom - if possible a w6 - if not w5 is also very very welcome!

Actually I do - but if nessecary I have ease access to a Computer running XP.
you need to use a PC running XP, then please try to flash the base ROM as Vdlock mention in his thread : http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/fil...ileUK_Ship.exe
Reset to bootloader then connect teh USB cable to an XP machine and run teh above shipped ROM installer
Please make sure you do this before your goes flat, if you notice now it might not be even charging ...

Yes I searched, could not find a helpful post that I could understand (unfortunately a lot of not-so-good english on these forums!).
I used the file 'windowsmobile2003se.exe' here;

It started loading fine, then when it came up with the progress bar to start updating, my device rebooted and is now stuck in bootloader.
When I try himaupgradeut.exe, it gives me a ERROR 101: Connection Error. USB is disabled in ActiveSync and I can see the device as "Microsoft USB Sync".
The USB still works (I can use mtty and xda2unlock in Windows XP and they both work fine). Is the device still recoverable?
I have hard reset (Power + Reset), removed and re-inserted battery and tried a normal reset, none of these work.
Can I please have some step-by-step instructions on how to recover the phone? The bootloader version is 1.06

Have you tryed leaving the battery out for 1 day or over night. Because that fixed some problems for me.

Yeah I've left the battery out overnight (about 12 hours to make sure the backup battery ran flat). It's still stuck on the boatloader.
It's just got the normal bootloader screen (Serial up top and 1.06 down the bottom) and this changes to USB when in the cradle, so the device seems to be fine.
Any ideas?

Yesterday I tried to upgrade my Qtek 2020 to the last rom available but something went wrong and now my PPC only shows the bootloader screen.
After hours of researching on Google I found this forum and this topic. I tried to do what is in utak3r tutorial but I can't connect to my PPC using mtty (usb port can't open) and I don't know why. :\
When I try himaupgradeut.exe, it gives me a ERROR 101: Connection Error too...
And finally when I run this script made by Clontarf it fails on the last step on writing to the SD card. It gives me a Error - Access Denied.
I don't know how to solve this. Would you please help me?

I have a K8GT bought from 51cube I would not recommend it!! It is based on a RK2918 rockchip.
However, i could not find any firmware for it so i installed (already) up to 20 firmwares on it. I have on that seems OK but the wifi is not working.
How could i install the wifi drivers on the firmware?

Hi Guys,
I found a solution and i am now going to share it...
First of all, note that there are many version of K8GT.
To know which one you have, you should look at the serial number of the back device.
Mine is written K8GTA8GB11450691
So my version is called in fact a K8GTA but you also have a K8GTB, simple K8GT....
If you go on the website of Cube in english you wont find anything usefull. Go to the chinese version of it. You dont speak chinese? Here is the link in the chinese forum to download the firmware
But if you have like me a K8GTA, then simply click here to get the 1.04 version of firmware.
You should change 2 things to make it easier :
1- Everything is going to be in chinese. It not going to work in your computer if you leave the chinese letters. So rename all files/folders with "normal" letter.
2- Then you should have a file called config.ini
Open it with notepad or any text editor.
Change the third line into 2. Then you should have this.
Code:
[Language]
Kinds=2
Selected=2
LangPath=Language\
Now you can install the firmware... the OS is going to be 2.3.1 android and in chinese but you can go in parameters to change to english or any other language...

My Cube 51 K8GT suddenly stopped taking a charge from the charger or from the laptop USB.
I followed the advice I found from many sources and restored it to orginal factory settings.
It still will not charge -- plus, it is all in Chinese and I can not find where to restore it to English.

i too got the same problem on the second day after the purchase from an internet shop, i reseted the device but no use,i found everything is in chinese,then i managed to change the language by clicking the icon with a symbol A in settings which is language settings,then on the right side first column i selected english, i got it back in english, but the charging problem haven't been solved, still it doesnt charge, please let me know what you did?

Hello my friends! how are you? i have a big problem with my vodafone smart ii and i need your help!!! I don't understand completely what is your problem as I am new too but a simple solution could be this...
check if the drivers are installed correctly on your pc (if not search the forum for them, I can't recall in which post but a user uploaded them) and then try flashing the rom that roeddie gives(except of the recovery.img it's nonfunctional ) using this program Android_AIO_Flasher (search for it on the forum)
Edit: in order to flash the new img files you need to be in fastboot mode (press volume down continuously while powering on)

So I got mine W8 beyond two days ago.
So far so good, but:
1. GPS problem. I am geocacher (more at: geocaching.com) and I need accurate GPS. When I stood still in the open for few minutes, I could see GPS jumping around for 400-900 meters for no reason. AGPS and EPO activated. We will see how it goes
2. I would love to get polish language settings, since there are some apps which fetch the content depending on Your language setting (I know that this is poor design, but this is how they works), so that would be nice. Not an issue anymore. I installed MoreLocale2 and pm'ed it which is more than enough at the moment.
3. I do not see option for sorting the apps in the main apps menu (it was working on my old Lenovo A750) - am I missing something?First 9 icons are fixed and alphabelical, the rest is just alphabetical. I can live with that.
4. I have my contacts stored with country prefix which is not used by my operator. I do not see my contacts data when they are calling me.
The SMSes are provided by operator with country prefix, so the problem is with calls only. I tried to follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268120 but I am unable to decompile framework.jar - no classes.dex inside. I am not able to deodex framework.odex either, so I am stuck for the moment.GravityMod2 3.0 ROM fixed that problem.

GravityMod2 3.0 installed - not an issue anymore
For my good old Lenovo I was able to modify the ROM as soon as I got my hands on any ROM in zip format. I guess I could also try to compile something (I am a programmer), but since I am extremely low on time I would need MT6589T kernel patch (is it the same like mt6589) and some basic manual.
Anyone interested?

Thanks, but I got A-GPS and EPO already enabled and EPO downloaded.
I till try to go to the engineering menu and locking via YGPS.
As I understood from google translator, I should just wait for lock and then close everything. Since then everything should be running smoothly. Am I right?

I am not sure if it helps (I am quite sure it does not acctually), but which version was running on your phone prior to root attempt? Which part has failed? writting the CWM image or rooting?
Try to connect the phone to the PC via usb and then turning it on. If PC reacts (ADB device as far as I rememeber will be recognized) then there might be chance for You.

Mine work - kind of ...
After getting the fix the coordinates jumps for 1-2 second every 5 seconds.
This makes it troublesome but possible for navigation

1. When I open the flash tool I get the following error: "fail to load a raw data file: "c:\users\stephane\Desktop\thl8beyond\W8_beyond.JB2.FHD.EN.COM.8P128_MT6589TV1.0.1_20130618-cwm6033.img
2. When I continue the falsh tool opens but when I try to upload the scatter file I get the following error: "Incorrect scatter file format!"
3. My current build number is: W8_beyond.JB2.FHD.EN.COM.8P128_MT6589TV1.0.2_20130626. Can I still use the image you provided ?

W8_beyond.JB2.FHD.EN.COM.8P128_MT6589TV1.0.1_20130618
When connecting it to the computer it will install HTC drivers under Android Phone entry in device manager and also W8 Beyond under Portable Device.
I cannot root the phone using the msdos script or SP Flash tool. Also Snapea does not see the device. On the same computer I used a ZOPO C2 Platinum and Snapea found that instantly and I could rooted and also pushed a custom ROM.
Now... wish I could also root this THL to be able to back-up my stock ROM. No need for me to work with a custom, just need to be able to back-up the original ROM just to be safe.
Can you please help me in regards to the communication problem between computer with Win 7 64bit and the THL W8 Beyond phone?
