After beeing on the road for 2 days I was wondering if there's a remote available (BT) for the Wizard (or any) to dail, scroll etc.
I googled myself silly.........
Anyone?
It would be nice to have something like this, ..............
Anybody...............?
.....please
I know u can dial using BT headset and MS Voice..but as far as scrolling I dunno...maybe if u set a voice cmd using the phone it might work.
I've used my BT HS850 fine with MS voice command but haven't really set up any voice commands for using appz or scrolling, etc. Where there's a will, there's a way! 8)
I tried voice commands, but somehow my voice in a speeding car is not getting thru.
What I'm looking for is just a simple dail/key pad with a scroll and or enter button.
Actually like a nokia/or erricson key without the phone......
The closest thing that I can think of is some sort of bluetooth keyboard. But again, that's more geared towards having a QWERTY input.
My SE K750d works as BT keyboard with Wizard - any hardware/software that works as e HID device for PC will work with Wizard.

I have a Pioneer AVH-4100 car in-dash Multimedia system + CD-BTB200 Bluetooth adapter! Devices are paired but i can't seem to do the following:
1- Dial numbers
2- Access phonebook
3- Voice recognition
3- Receive names in incoming calls
Everything else works fine, but unfortunately the most important features doesn't..
I wish JETware was compatible with the HD2..
Any idea what to do?
thx..
Hello,
I've got the 5900P but also with the BT module you mention,
In fact the BT module of the radio doesn't really work that interactive, in fact it can't read the phone, so you have to work the other way around,
This means you first have to pair the phone, than you have to upload all your numbers from your phone to your car radio, I know, it's annoying, hard to keep up to date and everytime you flash (daily in my case) you have to re-pair and upload them again... So this last part I'm not doing anymore, on top of that it's limited to 300 nrs, the radio that is, and my hd has 450, so can't do them all...
this answers question 1-2 and 4, the voice recognition I never use, I keep my phone in a cradle next to the radio and use it like this...
Regards,
Tom

Thanks allot for this valuable info, i'll try at as soon as i can..
Regarding the "Dialing number" feature.. I want to dial using the on screen dial pad but i don't see it.. If i load up the contacts will i be able to see a dial pad?
Most appreciated..
good to know. I have the pioneer avh3100dvd and I just slave it with a 3.5mm to the front connector. I have thought about getting the adapter but was worried it wouldn't work.
I tried to upload the contacts but it says on the phone that there is no support, I can't figure out how to work around this.. I only have a "Send" & "End" on the screen. The screen also shows Battery and signal status. Nothing else..
I would really like to sort out this issue..
Yesterday i was chatting away on the phone , and realized i wanted a solution that would let me control the phone from the pc.
I installed droidvnc server but somehow it doesn't work, it automatically stops the server as soon as you try to connect to it.
So today i thought of another solution (besides buying a bluetooth keyboard), which is to emulate a bluetooth keyboard in software installed to the pc.
I have searched this and apparently it isn't easy to do. I have a bluetooth dongle on my windows laptop, but this isn't enough since i would need to emulate the proper hid profile.
Is this possible? Or do you know of another solution?
This sounds like some Xzibit 'Pimp my Atrix' type mod. Yo dawg! I heard you like to input text on your device while your talking on it but cant see; So I installed an emulator on your laptop keyboard so now you can type on your laptop while you type on your phone while you talk on your phone but cant see!

Dude WTF. i'm not looking for a headset.
I want to use my laptop's keyboard as the phone's keyboard over bluetooth.
In linux, there's a program called hidclient that seems to do this. I want to do this from windows. Basically i want a virtual bluetooth keyboard.
Well I was trying to make you laugh but I guess no luck..
Have you tried the "Phone Portal" app in your app drawer? It will allow you to send sms and such via your computers keyboard.
...the subject says it all really.
If I get the Motorola work & play kit, will I be able to also use the BT keyboard+mouse & pair them with my media PC?

I don't see why not. It's just a keyboard. Some of the keys might not work though, or work "funny", mostly the android specific ones.
did anyone get this working?
when i try and pair with a windows 7 (x86) machine it generates a code and fails instantly.
edit: nevermind - i just entered 0000 and it allowed me to connect
now I just need to learn the keyboard layout properly!
I also found it amsuing that the music key (F8) does Rightclick and P together... how strange!
at least back is escape so I can ctrl+back to get the windows menu up
Guys if anyone wants to buy a work and play kit I have a brand new one for sale at a rock bottom price.
Let me know.

I tried this on windows 64 it pairs but doesnt seem to work, did you have to do anything specific?
It works fine on windows 7 64 bit
On Windows 7 64 bit, took a couple of attempts to pair before it did. Worked great after that.
In order to pair the keyboard to a PC, ensure the keyboard is turned off. Then, to pair it with a computer, press and hold the V, A, and R keys while turning on the keyboard. Then, continue to pair it to your computer.
I've also verified this works when attempting to pair the keyboard to an ipod touch. My daughtgger was having problems with it because the right hand side of the screen wasn't responding which means she couldn't type the P key and we needed to type that key while I attempted to fix it. Pairing the bluetooth keyboard allowed me to type the letter P when needed.
You also do a factory reset on the keyboard so that it clears out all pairing information by pressing and holding the N, E, and W keys while powering on the keyboard as well.
This works at least for the Motorola Bluetooth keyboard I have which is model 89451N.

Worked for me!

Worked on win7x64, just you need turn the keyboard on and off perhaps. Also, you need to unpair it from any previously paired device.
Has anyone tried the Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse For Android Devices (89451N) to play games such as deadspace or Nova 3?
function keys
can anyone tell me whether the Fn + Capslock shortcut works with this keyboard on windows? the shortcut that swaps around the function controls so that f1 f2 etc happen on the first press instead of the media keys?
Tried connecting various devices to my rooted Photon via Bluetooth and ran into some issues...
-My Motorola S9 earphones pair up just fine (go figure, made by Motorola).
-Tried to connect to my desktop for OBEX and the phone is only being recognized as a Dial Up Network connection. There is no option given for OBEX.
-Tried to connect to my MS Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 7000 to use with the dock. The phone recognizes it and tries to pair with it, but it asks me to type a passcode to confirm the connection, can't input the code from the keyboard side, so the connection fails.
Anyone else having any issues with Bluetooth? I know my desktop supports OBEX and just about any other Bluetooth profile so I don't think the problem is with the computer. The same for the keyboard, since I use it with my computer with no issues. I'm pretty sure the issues are with the Bluetooth profiles on the Photon...
I have the 6000 keyboard and there is a bit of a dance you have to do in order to pair it with an Android device. I had figured this out from trying to pair it with my gtablet. When it asks for the passkey you need to type a 4 digit number on the phone and on the keyboard. The dance part is that you also have to hit enter on the keyboard right after you type the passkey on it and have hit the button on the phone. It will take you a couple of times to get the timing right but it will work. The first time I got it to work with my gtablet it took several minutes of messing with it to get it to pair.

I purchased a Targus Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard (has the Android logo and claims compatibility). It paired and connected without any issues and works with all of the apps that I have tried (gmail, text client, Docs To Go, etc.). It also works with Webtop apps, including Citrix (which is why I needed the keyboard).
The problem is that when the keyboard is connected, Webtop will randomly crash and re-start (Motorola logo appears and Webtop re-initializes). I have tried this many times, with and without the keyboard and it is definitely related to having the keyboard connected. Sometimes it will crash right away, while other times it will last 2 or 3 mins. It always fails with 5 mins.
I have tried it using 4G (mine will go to 3G at times due to my area) only (WIFI off) and did not effect the crashing (though WIFI does seem to have conflicts with Bluetooth being on).
Has anyone successfully had a Bluetooth keyboard work? Is there a setting I am missing?
Any help would be much appreciated.
I am still having this problem. Has anyone gotten this to work?
I am using a logitech bluetooth keyboard for android 3.0+ tablets, a bit of a PITA to get it paired, but has been working flawlessly for 2 days now.

Not saying its the only one that will work, I'm sure there are more.
Just a heads up for anyone that gets this keyboard, pairing procedure for the razr is...
1. turn on the keyboard
2. hit the "connect" button on the bottom.
3. find the keyboard in the bluetooth menu on your phone and touch to pair to it.
4. When prompted for the password type "0000" in the popup on your razr.
5. On the bluetooth keyboard type "0000" and press enter. Its VERY important to press enter.
6 your keyboard is paired!
I've used an iPhone4 BT keyboard on my ATRIX....and on RAZR works, too.
Well it turns out the Motorola Wireless keyboard works flawlessly with Webtop as well. Guess I chose the wrong keyboard for my first try.
I am now using the Motoroal Wireless keyboard ... bought through Amazon.
Thanks for all of the posts!!
