Need urgent help on upgrading to PPC2003

am upgrading my XDA to PPC2003 tonight.
can anyone give me the exact help step by step on how to do it starting from Wallaby Bootloader to XDArit?
sorry for the inconvenience and trouble..really need help on this..
million thanks
David,
Have a good long read of this:
http://www.pocketpcpassion.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33678
good luck!
Hi there - great information thanks - now I'm a little confused though..
I'm new to the concept of upgrading my unit (see Newbie thread - but it's not that interesting ;-)) I was going to flash Jeff's 1.1 ROM onto it, but now I read this ..
Does the 1.1 ROM have "always on" GPRS, or should I be looking at PPC 2003 if I want this ? Which ROM is better ?
it depends more of the radio stack than the CE ROM i guess.
i didn't have a permanenet gprs on SE 1,1, but i had to upgrade radio stack to 4,21 to have it working on my PPC2003 version
ok I understand now, but what are the differences between the two ?
between 2002 ans 2003 ?
if this is the question have a look at the post concerning ppc2003 in the rom update forum and by screenshot on pda site reviews to make up your mind about it.
Personaly there are no "big" changes only a suite of little features.
info bubble are more detailed
accessability to sound and some dialing interface
connexion management has been simplified to the extreme
of course the pseudo permanent gprs (ok it does not shut off when incoming calls are engaged but it is not really active btw so it will time out any ftp or irc session on the xda for instence).
well many little things taht made a suitable evolution.
cheers - yeah that's what I meant - it's all sinking in now!
will the new version of XDA-dev ROM (1.2?) be based on the 2002 ROM or the 2003 one ?

Xda II ROM upgrade ... the latest & final Xda II System

Boo hoo. This is up on Source O2. Xda II ROM upgrade ... the latest & final Xda II System Software is available for you to download
Guess its time to buy the Blue Angel.
Thanks for this post, but where the hell is the download link?
It's not available just yet, Source O2 have the 1.72 page up here but the download link takes you to v1.6050 at My-XDA.Com
Patience lads November 1st is the release date (according to several sources). I guess SourceO2 are just getting themselves prepared so they can be 'first' to announce it
Yeah
It's official then - my Xda II is obsolete.
why?
does the fact that 2003SE is not comming makes it absolute ?
is it rotating ?
is it lack of higher resolution ?
is it 3th party software which will only run on SE
is it the bluetooth stack?
black berry!

hey can u tell where the rom is available or any link for it.

I read that message differently, while it says final, I take that to mean - final after lots of beta tests. Not final, as in the last one we'll ever get!
Cheers

If you noticed tha last post here was in 2004. Since then the wizards here in xda-developers have cooked up WM 5 and WM 6 ROMS which are far superior to the original 2003. Just Choose which you want to install in your XDA. There are threads for both. Just read carefully instructions in installing AND how to get more memory.
Thanks Bro!

Exchange sharing ROM

I'm newbie of here.

XDA2i Rom Update?

Hi, sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find the info on the forums.
Is there a ROM update available for the O2 XDA2i? Either an update to the original ROM or a generic/unbranded update?
Would appreciate any help/links etc. Thanks in advance.
I think we are ALL eagerly waiting, hopefully anticipating, daily contemplating, even wishing, that sooner rather than late, we will get a [email protected]#$%ing ROM update!
