I also want to backup my Asia ROM before I flash to the ENG rom... How do I backup a ROM? Tell me if any of you are interested in getting it.

If you want the Chinese ROM just go to

They already have the updated ROM in Chinese Traditional dated 26/8/06

Hi Guys,
somewhere I read that o2 already ships XDAs with the new 1.60 ROM. I have already updated the ROM with the T-Mobile ROM but I still need the new Extended ROM.
So it would be great, if one of you guys could drop the latest Extended ROM in the Forum, so that users with an old Ext. ROM can upgrade theirs (as long as the official update from o2 has not been released).

I haven't seen any English O2 ROMs. Why don't you just upgrade to another English ROM? (Make sure to follow MrVanx's guides when you upgrade)

yeh its more for testing then anything else
ina a few weeks im going to rolling out the trion at my work place so wanted to get the headsup before-hand and test the UK rom,
thats why i didnt get the german version
hell iv already got HTC's latest rom and also been running WM6 which i LOVE"!
but anyway hope some one gets a chance to get there mits on the device in the UK and can post the rom

NO official version as the Hermes is now no longer in production.
You may find in the cooked roms but if its something for Oz only then check out CRC's as he is the only Ozzie chef I know who may still be in the kitchen (though I haven't seen any updates recently)...

When i go in software information, it say>

I want to change it to PT-BR or PT ROM.
When i go to HTC website and put my S/N to download rom updates, it say: This rom is not applicable to your device.
I want to update with official rom and original SPL.
Can you help me?

The ROM version you mention is for South-East Asia, WWE (world wide English).
To flash something different than your "native" ROM, you must use HSPL (or a Goldcard, for that matter, but that´s a bit more complicated).
Once you´ve got HSPL on your device, you can flash whatever ROM you want and which is good for your hardware specifications. There are a few Portuguese ROMs available - either stock or custom ROM.
Please check the stickies of the ROM thread for the how-to, and select the ROM according to your needs, you´ll find links in the very same thread, too.
You can find Portuguese custom ROMs from Dutty or sternas, both of them follow a "close to stock ROM" philosophy.
