Hi Guys,
Had a lot of questions regarding the Brodit holders for the network carrier variants of the HTC TyTn, and what the Brodit TyTn holders fit:
the range for the HTC TyTn fit the folowing devices:
HTC Hermes - SPV M3100, MDA Vario II, HTC TyTN, XDA Trion, Dopod 838 Pro, i-mate JASJAM and Dopod CHT 9000.
At present we only have the holders available by Brodit listed under the HTC TyTn name, but if yours is one of the above, then the TyTn holders on www.dsldevelopments.com should fit!
Hope that helps all,
Cheers,
How do you put the tytn in the horizontal holder? Does it just slide down? Do you have to connect the cable manually? Is it possible to hook up external speaker/mic with this holder or is it for charging only?

Hi Tony K,
Yes you just slide it down into the holder. Yes you have to place the cable in manually for the Horizontal holders (codes ending in ***961) the Portrait versions slid in and dock onto the usb connector (codes ending ***960)
As with all USB devices from HTC it only charges, you need a bluetooth carkit like a parrot kit to get the full benefits of a phone kit in your car, ie additinal mic and audio out through your speakers,
Many Thanks
Bryson
I use the vertical brodit holder with plug for lighter connector. It works great and holds the Tytn securly in place.
i keep on getting dns error when im trying to view ur page. maybey work filter
Is it worth buying something which is designed specifically for the Hermes or does a cheap generic one do just as good a job?
I'm willing to spend a bit extra is the holder is better quality.
If anyone has a decent holder could you let me know the brand/where you got it from.
In my experience, The Brodit holders are superior. They have excellent fit, and some come with built-in charging (active holders) for additional convenience.
yes, anything by Brodit - expensive but worth it.
I am not very much convinced with their website's photos.
I have ordered dwo desktop cradles from expansys: HTC-branded, and from ORA, plus a car holder by Carcomm. I will review and post photos when they (finally) arrive.
Another vote for Brodit. See my pics in this thread:

I can recommend a unit by Carcomm, available at Handnav.

I've been using it for 3 weeks, very pleased with. You can get power cables for various GPS receivers too.

i am using a cheap car holder from Hama. it's doing its job and i paid only 20euro for it
My vote goes to the Brodit holder. Use it for several months now and charge my tytn without problems. Also i have one for my dell axim pda.
Brodit holders are a perfect fit.
i just use a generic pda holder bought form ebay, i think the ebay store was t-dimension.
it cost me $5 AU + postage. It is an anti-vibrate model.
This holder together with a TYTN car charger ($20 AU) is a practical and cheap (money wise) solution.
There is ONLY one place to buy from and it is...
www.proclipusa.com
I have no affiliation with them but I have bought holders for 2 different vehicles from them. The quality is very high. And they have basically taken every single vehicle out there and figured out how to mount your ohone as if it were a factory option. The location of the brackets is different for all vehicles and the fit on the phone and on the car is perfect.
I hope you enjoy, just as I have.
Using the Brodit cradle here, fantastic bit of kit which works perfectly. Recently used it on a 2500KM car journey and it was perfect the whole way!
Does anybody know which holder is compatible with the extended batteries?
I got this one at radio shack for 16.00
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103140&cp
add to it a retractable miniusb cigarette charger (for the RAZR) at wal-mart for $10.00
That looks right along the lines of what I want - I don't think it would hold the LION Battery pack with the Hermes though :/
Hi all, just in case anyone wants one, I have one on eBay for sale. Open to offers:

Hi all,
I've got the desk stand for the TD1 with the stock adapter, and the adapter for the extended battery. Unfortunately the TD2 fits neither of these adapters.
I jut thought I'd post to let others know - am off to try and see if HTC (someone?) does just the adapter to make it fit....
Rich
Cradle adapter (on it's own) was announced before release of the TD2.
Here ..... http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=179105
Got it from Clove in the end - slightly chepaer and I prefer dealing with them over Expansys.

How much for a piece of plastic?! ...anyway, how does the phone look in the cradle?
Unfortunately they sent the TD1 insert - I returned it but they are not due stock of the TD2 one for a couple more weeks, pic when I get it...

I used this one for my TD1 from Brando, same problem the TD2 doesn't fit. But I could sell it to someone with a Touch Pro 1.
Bought the TD2 version from Brando and I am very satisfied.
Hi,
any cradle or car kit available?
please no universal holder like CU G100.
thx jürgen
I ask importer in my country, car holder will be avaible in 1 month from Brodit
CarComm has an active and a passive one available.
carcom vs brodit
so, the products are available.
i#m wondering about the hight space between the htc back and the holder by brodit.
the carcomm holder looks smaller.
what do you think?
and: the price difference between active and passive holder is 40€, lol. i think a car-usb-adapter for a few bugs is the better way ...
you're right, i ordered passive brodit for 21€, but it comes in 3 weeks.

currently have the Brodit Passive holder with my HR Richter swivel, with all the Brodit holders I've been quite happy.
Looks decent and fits smoothly, it's worth getting it
