WANT TO INSTALL BLUETOOH INTO FIRST GENERATION O2 XDA...HELP

Hi. I am a newbie here and I must confess...I am not a technie, just a simple person who loves his o2 XDA. Only problem I have with this baby was that I can only use the phone with a wired handsfree set. I remember reading somewhere that the XDA can be made to link with a bluetooth ear and mouth piece (like the Jabra bluetooth) by adding a component inside the XDA. Can someone please help me?
Thanks and may the XDA be with you!!!
I don't think that you can. XDA's (Wallaby) is not SDIO port, and cannot add a SD Bluetooth card. There is a camera that gets by the SD/SDIO differences. But no bluetooth so far.

you can install bluetooth on an xda1 but it's not done internally. when i was still using an xda1; i bought a jabra 250 bt headset with an adaptor for non-bt phones/ppcs (ages ago). the adapter is the charger/holster for the headset. what happens is the adapter plugs into the xda1's microphone jack. you then proceed with the bonding process between the headset and the adapter. once bonded; there you go...wireless! the only drawback is that the adapter is practically dangling on the xda1; the attached pic wil give you a rough idea as to how this would look. others have gotten by this little problem by sticking the adapter to the back of the xda1...or on mounting it on the leather case. check out ebay or other websites; with bt practically available in almost all ppcs / phones you shouldn't have a hard time looking for a set for the non-bt xda1. should be cheaper too...
cheers
getting a adaptor to get a bluetooth headset working dont add bluetooth to a device
bluetooth is much more then headsets
Bluetooth and XDA
Is the adopter refered to the cradel that is used to charge the headset? If so where do you get the cable to connect this to the XDA ?

Bluetooth GPS and Headsets

Hi folks
Have seen a few posts on these forums regarding bluetooth GPS and headsets and just wanted a bit of clarification.
Can the XDA IIs coexist with a Bluetooth GPS receiver and a bluetooth headset at the same time?
If not, then are you guys using the speakerphone/headphones for your handsfree while using the bluetooth for gps?
Thanks all

XDA IIs Headphones

Hia,
Was just wondering if any normal set of headphones would work withe XDAIIs or is it only certain types.
Thanks
Any should do but you will need a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adaptor as the hile is smaller
Common 3.5mm -> 2.5mm converters don't fit well with XDA IIs because the XDA IIs jack was designed for a stereo headset that includes a microphone. Common 3.5mm -> 2.5mm converters, if not inserted at the right depth, will disable your microphone and also won't produce stereo sound. Inserting the converter at the right depth is MUCH HARDER than you can imagine. This drives me crazy every time I need listen to music and still be able to use voice command...
One of these http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=118289 will let you use a set of standard stereo headphones.
I use this with a pair of Sony MDR EX71-SL for an excellent MP3 Player
