WM2k5 delay in receiving SMS - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

hello guys, i having problems receiving SMS message. its always lagged in the network, cause im receiving them delayed and all about 5 to 10 messages at the same time, long after it has been sent to me. is the radio version got anything to do with this?
what radio version is suited best for windows mobile 2k5?
my current version is 1.18.00
any suggestion of version that is optimized for wm2k5?
thanks in advance

i have rom version 2.01a.00WWE
and radio version 1.08.00
and it works fine

i have 1.18 and 2005
and dont have any sms issues at all

I'm using 3.00a.32 Radio 1.08 have no problem with sms. But when I used 1.17-1.19, I have almost the same problem, may be even worst. Sometimes my phone can't made a call nor received.

so radio 1.08 is the best for windows mobile 2005?

Screwy SMS with T-Mobile PPC?

I've been using an XDA 1 (T-Mobile Version) with rom 4.01.00 and 6.24.01 radio stack.
Lately I've been having a lot of problems with people I send SMS to either not getting the messages at all, or they are garbled.
Anyone else having this trouble?

Cannot receive calls when GPRS is on

During the past several months I've tried several WM6 ROMs - mostly PDAViet's. Currently I have the following:
ROM version: 7.7.7.7 WWE
ROM Date: 9/08/07
Radio version: 1_02.20.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.9
ExtROM version: Mystrerious 1.0
The device is Imate's Jamin (Prophet G3). Since I started to use WM6, I am often having the problem when I cannot receive the incoming calls from time to time - my friends have to leave the voice messages in my mailbox even when my phone is on and the cell coverage is great. It seems that it is related to GPRS activity - I have GPRS/EDGE internet connection always on and I have my email synchronized with an Exchange server over the air. What is even worse, I have no way of knowing if someone has called me - even if they leave a voice message I am getting no notification on the PDA. I started to call my own cell number often trying to understand the pattern and I noticed that when I cannot get through, I can disable the GPRS and after that the call gets through.
I don't remember having such problems with original WM5 ROM when I purchased my Prophet, so I assume it is related to WM6.
As I said, I tried different ROMs and different RadioROMs (now I rolled back to the original RadioROM originally provided by Imate, since I saw no improvement with newer RadioROMs).
I have T-Mobile USA mobile service with Total Internet plan if it makes any difference...
The questions:
is anyone else experiencing problems like this? any workarounds?
is phone line is supposed to work simultaneously with GPRS? Could it be caused by a difference between [GPRS simply connected and no internet activity] and [GPRS connected and sending/receiving data]?
could it be related to the settings of activesync (how often it syncs with Exchange or be continuously connected)?
Any help is greatly appreciated...
Incase there is any data transfer happening at the time of the call coming in (pls note even while polling there is some data being transfered) the call will not go thru.
I have been using WM6 roms for the past six months... from my signature you can see how many i have treid, in each of the roms.. I also use push mail, hence I am always connected thru edge....I get phone calls even when connected to GPRS.. however if there is any data transfer happening at that point in time the call goes into my voice mail.
i think it is problem of your service provider, try another radio rom?
I am having the same problem, any solutions?
It happens to my device roughly once a month, and my GPRS is always off. So IMHO it is related to WM6. It did not happened on WM5.
My gprs (edge) connection is always on and I have the same problems on the radio rom 2.41.21. Try to use the radio 2.61.21 - no problems with incoming calls...
Korand, thanks for the suggestion. I actually tried 2.61.21 a couple of months ago - it didn't fix this problem
For now, I've changed my Activesync settings so that it will sync data via GPRS every 30 mins (before it was "stay connected all the time") - hopefully it will decrease the probability of getting the incoming call at the time of data transfer.

lol... this is no problem.. this is wht is supposd to happen on GSm.. because it works on a single FM frequency n not a band like CDMA or TDMA.. this is normal.. its jus like whne ur using ur dialup internet n ur phone line gets busy.. soo no solution unless u switch to TDMA
hahahha, you don't know what are you talking about, what FM frequency, this is not Benefon Delta lol

ok.. then can u tell me the kind of modulation is used in GSM.. go wikipedia ur ass n u will see wht im talkin.. ur such a n00b
it is Gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK).. jus a modified version of FM to use support multiple communications on a single frequency.. talk to me when u got ur engineering degree..
No calls reception - no calls outgoing
I have a TYTNII who suddently has the same problem of incoming calls directly to mailbox, for each calls, and also I can't call anymore.
Does anyone solve this problem?
With the Sim card in my Qtek 8300 WM5 I don't have the problem.
HTC support say they don't know this problem and ask to make a hard reset...
ROM 1.56.406.5 (30/8/2007)
Radio 1.27.12.32

seems then its a common problem since tytnII has it may be there is something written in registry to divert call to voicemail while data traffic is going ON to avoid bad colliding accidents of voice and data packets on the same highway
to avoid dirty signals..thats all..
btw,all i know is that GPRS+receive calls = bandwidth bottleneck...see? how "cheap" the GSM is
so,the solution is to disable one of them...

SMS problem DCD 3.0.1 radio 3.35.04

I don't get some sms messages to my Alltel PPC-6800 afer upgrading to DCD 3.0.1 and radio 3.35.04. SMS messages from google sms don't work at all for example. Is this a known problem with the 3.0.1 firmware or the radio 3.35.04 (or something else)? If I send an email to [email protected] it works fine.
Fixed my mms for alltel titan
I had a similar problem after updating roms. I installed link below and worked again.
I tried upload cab but failed for some reason., message me and I will send it to you.

I can send messages fine and calls work fine. (except sms to myself). I called Alltel support today and they looked at it from the provisioning side and of course didn't find anything wrong. I assume the problem is caused by the Sprint Radio. I have tried version ROM 2.3.2 with no luck also. Considering going back to factory defaults and starting over. Do you have any other advice?
drgibson i am sure it is not a radio problem. please check your pm inbox.

Internet Calling VoIP/SIP

Hi,
does anyone make Internet Calling work on Rose? I have Rose with genuine ROM, unlocked from the box and have in settings Internet Calling option. I have tried to make SIP setting from tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 but I have problem, I could not install any CAB file I made, anytime I received an error "installation of VoIP.cab was unsuccessful". So, does anyone know where is the problem, why I cannot install .cab file?
Or are there another way to make Internet Calling VoIP/SIP working?
Thanks.
About:
Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard
CE OS 5.2.20279 (Build 20279.1.3.4)
Radio Version 12.23.30.06H_0.24.30.24
RIL Version 2.002
have you tried fring
fring? I am having trouble with wm6.5 but I think your using 6.1 so you should be fine (I think). If there is anything else just let me know
No Fring. It is disaster... Latency, Jitter... If other side starts to speak I cannot hear anymore couple seconds, one have to listen and another to speak. But clearance is 20%. This is not even decent.
Thank you for answer, anyhow.

Big problem with messaging software... Major lag/freeze on incoming texts!

T-Mobile US HTC HD2,
OS version - 5.2.21892 (21892.5.0.89)
Manila Version - 2.5.20121412.2
Rom Version - 2.13.531.1 (90963)
Rom Date - 04/28/10
Radio Version - 2.10.50.26
Protocol Version - 15.39.50.07U
The problem is that when I get an incoming text message, my phone will freeze for upwards of 2-5 min before the text clears and the sound plays. After the sound plays, my phone will have slight lag, but then go back to normal speed.
If multiple texts come in at the same time, my phone can be frozen for up to 15 min!
Any help?
